Did you see his stupid comment?
Well, there are lots, but I'm speaking of this one in particular:
"So 'people are born straight' is just as ridiculous as 'people are born gay.'"

He just lied big time.
He never said "some people are born straight and some are born gay" like I've been saying. He said "ALL people are born straight and then CHOOSE to be gay," which is ridiculous in and of itself. But the fact that he doesn't understand the difference between my comment and his is hilarious.

You think addiction isn't physical? Especially opiate addiction which we were specifically talking about?
It was one thing for you not to know Ritalin has the adverse affect on adults
It was one thing to claim you gave ten percent of your money to a church where you knew the priest was stealing the money for himself
But for a "doctor" not to know opiate addiction is both physical and mental? WOW. Either you were about as bad and ignorant of a doctor and Christian as one can be when you claimed to be one or you simply are a bigger fraud than I thought. Considering the patients it would have affected, I actually find myself rooting for the latter.

Wrong again. This is a good example of two Christians showing this guy for what is he is: a bigot. If he posted this crap concerning blacks you would say something, or any other group, race or religion. I have to ask, do any of you that claim tolerance have any for anyone that doesn't share you hate? And I don't use that word lightly. But its on full display here by serveral posters. Oh well. It is a pity. Life is too short.

So then if it were put to a vote tomorrow, you'd for for equality?
I really doubt that, considering that the whole reason we got into this discussion is because you commented on my criticisms of bigoted people who wish to refuse marriage equality.

You do realize that what you just said means nothing to the question, it is an answer that is completely irrelevant.
You're saying that because the one you're with is of the same sex, you can't fall in love with them because of time?
Again, your comprehension skills need to be worked on.

God didn't do that. The people did. It was the act of those who knew that the administers of the central church in Rome were blatantly lying about the Jesus they corrupted and turned into a "star wars idol". However, it was too late. The truth of the message was already all but lost, and most of the contemporary writings of his message were destroyed and burned. All that was left at the time was corrupted and adulterated by lying greedy "bishops"-loyal to the "theocracy".
Not true. His message has not been lost. True many people in the so called church (not the body of Christ) have killed many to keep the false one rich and in power. This is why my lifesong message is I'm thankful that God has the final word, not any man. Not any man. If you get a chance do read Foxe's Book of Martyrs.

You might be surprised. When I was young I had a condition that meant I saw many doctors growing up. They are just people and the better ones have wisdom. The guy posting here has none. Hate? He has that in spades.
When I was young, say from mid 20s to my 40s, I saw a doctor growing up too, almost every day. He is now in his 40s too and will be 41 in a week. He has 4 kids of his own, and manages a bunch of other doctors. My son announced to us that he was going to be a doctor, when he was about 10 years old, and he put a poster on his bedroom door, something to the effect "I'm a doctor". He never changed his mind about becoming a doctor though he was in his 30's before he could officially put up his own shingle.

However, I don't think that is what you meant, but I saw an opportunity to make a comment. I am sorry that you had to see many doctors when you were young. I would have seen more doctors when I was young, if I had been born a few years later, as we got Medicare in parts of Canada, starting in the west the year I was born, but it didn't come into action in my province until near the time I started to high school, so some of the illnesses I had didn't get a doctor's attention, simply because people only saw doctors when they were having a baby or on the verge of dying, at least in my family's income bracket.

That changed though as Canada enacted Medicare for the whole country, but each province administering its own program, I suspect with some differences, though I haven't investigated health care in other provinces.

.. Native Americans, Hiroshima, Nagasaki ..
.. need more ??..
Ya'll make it sound like these folks were falsly invited to a party and then mowed down while they munched corn on the cob.
And that simply isn't the case.

The genocide of the native tribes of the America's was began by the Spanish as far as outsiders is concerned. But in truth the natives warred against each other for century's. And we don't know how many that took part in the genocide of the North American Indian were in fact American Nationals ...surely a great number were immigrants. But I can say with absolute certainty that not a single one of you can look upon the heart of anyone and declare if they are a people of faith ...or what faith.

The wheels of history were in motion. There is nothing anyone was going to do to stop it. It is what it is.

And since you brought up the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and sticking with that time period & WWII, it was the Empire of Japan that called us out.

How many civilians died at Pearl? How many civilians died around the world at the hands of the Empire of Japan?

The Emire simply bit off more than it could chew.

And lets not forget the many beheadings, death marchs and other forms of torture committed against the Allied forces.

How many civilians died in the sinking of the Lusitania by a German U-boat? Europe was screaming for aid. The USA didn't just march in and start shooting the place up.

This war had to come to an end ...it was enough.

I'm not advocated the wholesale slaughter of innocents ...but damn, we should turn away while Americans are slaughtered early on a Sunday morning ...or sent to the depths of the icy seas by an unknown hunter.

Question...How many of the 500(+) contemporary writings of "Jesus words" that existed before around 95 A.D. have you had the opportunity to read.
That is the foremost reason for my statement...in that the canons of the "universal church" were rejected by those that knew they were adulterated and so not the real truth. That was the reason the "abomination"- the "universal church"/"scarlet whore" of Rome(who deemed "itself" the representative of God on earth) destroyed, murdered, and burned anyone who possessed or preached those "truths".
Exactly what Jesus abhorred and preached against.

Hi

These are the books that never made the cut when the Bible was put together?

The Gospel of Thomas makes no mention of Jesus' death and resurrection. Furthermore, salvation only comes by understanding his teachings and not by believing in his resurrection:

"Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death"

No wonder the early church leaders left that one out!

They also left out the Gospel Of Peter which is strange because as far as I know, it provides the only eye-witness account of Jesus emerging from the tomb.

Jesus came out from the tomb with two angels and was followed by a talking cross. Once in the open, Jesus and the angels grew to a height of thousands of feet until their heads were lost in the heavens.

Angels? Talking cross? Giant Jesus?

Well, according to the account, this was witnessed by a Roman centurion and his soldiers (usually eighty men) and the Jewish Elders. Given who the witnesses were, you'd have thought there would be some records for this miraculous event. Turns out that there are none.

Ah well, perhaps it was just a made-up story.

I can never forget that and I didn't imply that.
.. then, explain why drones are killing 10 civilians for each enemy combatant ..
http://www.policymic.com/articles/24164/a-lis...
I don't know. Maybe some are children-terrorists (they DO give machine guns to little kids over there), maybe some are collateral damage, maybe some are accidents. Again, I don't know.

How do you expect me to explain that? I'm not authorizing these drone attacks, Obama is - at a rate four times higher than Bush. Ask him.
.. I am comparing modern America to Nazi Germany, both Christian nations. Where were the protests when America nearly exterminated Native Americans? How about the current drone killings of civilians ??..
I was not there when Indians were getting slaughtered. But I DO know that lots of people protested against it - mostly Christian people. I would've protested it, too. Senseless slaughter is NOT the traitor of most people.
.. here's my point: if morals are the privy of Christians, they're not doing a very good job ..
Elaborate. That's pretty vague, I don't wanna give a vague response.
.. who has protested human rights violations during the past 12 years of war? Who pickets Wall Street? Most importantly, who is silencing these voices ??..
.. no matter how immoral, Christians seem to support any action taken on the War on Terror, including yourself. Have you voiced any moral outrage over the drone or Iraq civilian casualties? It seems people only find excuses to justify the killing of innocents ..
.. please do not interpret this post as a condemnation of your beliefs. It seems apparent that Christians in both Germany and America have failed and continue to fail to protest the immorality of their leaders ..
.. that's not what Jesus taught. We can do better ..
Perhaps you're unaware of Christian protests such as those brought on by Washington, Lincoln and Martin Luther King. Those are huge and historical, but throughout history, Christians have protested evil and atrocity.

However, there are some that are loud. Really loud. Like the WBC idiots. They make the news while others don't.

Consider that before condemning our sense of morality.
