I had completed a lengthy reply to that post, when my computer, which is quite old, crashed. Not having the patience to re-type everything again, I will just say that a wise man speaks so that the person with the least ability to understand will understand what he is saying. That was a comment made by professor in one of my university classes when one of the students who had quite a vocabulary of elitist words and loved to show off was speaking, such the most there didn't understand him.

The post that I responded to had to do with not believing in your deity because of the lack of substantiated evidences or proofs, or believing in your deity based upon erroneous or faulty evidences or proofs,
eh? So let me ask you this. The fact that you don't believe in my Deity because of whatever reasons [you]deem. What that have to do with me?

Is the third time I ask you the question. Because MisterCharrington writer and I was having a cryptic discussion. I was enjoying it. But then you put in your writing, so I thinking maybe you want to help the writer out. So I ask you for proof he been to Germany because he can't seem to supply it.

So if you was not trying to help that writer, then you must believe that because you don't believe in my Deity Jesus Christ, that must have something to do with me. So I waiting to know what that have to do with me.

As you wish, maggot.

You might have noticed that I relented in my use of the name Dung, as I did here: http://www.topix.com/forum/topstories/T0N0LOR...

That is because you seemed to have cleaned up your act after a bad night. I gave you the benefit of the doubt that your were just drunk, and that we might have seen the end of that behavior.

But I was wrong, Dung. You are Christian trash indeed.

Now you other Christians can start bellyaching about that phrase - the same ones who consistently find no fault in the trashy behavior that earned you that title.

It was your initiated by your initial comment that "unbelief is a choice", and then your subsequent comment "Choose not to believe Germany exist...just for 10 minutes."

Okay, whether you understand this or not, when you made the comment about Germany, you were asserting that for a person to choose to not believe Germany exists, was somehow similar or akin to a person not choosing to have a theist belief that your deity exists.

That isn't the same.

Then you made the comment: "I know. It's hysterical when their own logic is used against them."

I pointed out where your logic was faulty and that comment, "I know. It's hysterical when their own logic is used against them.", is what urged me to respond.

Understand?

I find the word "unbeliever" to be offensive.
It is usually used against other theists and is simply saying "Your beliefs are shit, mine are perfect."
I use the word to describe myself, an atheist, and to describe other atheists.

And when I use it, I mean that such a person doesn't believe in gods. Some such people may think those things that you said. Others might not. The word doesn't connote either.

What does the Bible Say about homosexuals?

The places where the English word "homosexual" occurs in the Bible are found in two verses:

1 Cor. 6:9, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God." (NASB, ESV, NIV,)
1 Tim. 1:10, "realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted." (NASB, ESV)

In Each case, the Greek word used for homosexual is
arsenokoites. Here is what it means according to Greek dictionaries.

gen. arsenokoítou, masc. noun, from árse n a male, and koít a bed. A man who lies in bed with another male, a homosexual Cor. 6:9,Tim. 1:10 Lev. 18:22; Rom. 1:27])

male homosexual, one who takes the active male role in homosexual intercourse (1Co 6:9), specifically interpreted as male homosexual paedophilia (nab footnote); possibly a more generic term in first Timothy; sodomites (rsv, nrsv, nkjv), perverts (niv, neb, reb), practicing homosexuals (nab), homosexual (njb),(1Ti 1:10+), note: translations possibly use certain specific terms to infer or allow certain theologies. Thank you for your opinion. You have not established that the rise in Protestantism accounts for the attrition of Catholics. In fact, the opposite can be shown. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Mexi... :

"Roman Catholics are 82.7% of the total population, down from 96% in 1970." That's a drop of about 13.3%. The pie chart at the top of the same page indicates that the fraction of non-Catholic Christians is 9.7%. Even if that number were 0% in 1970, it still only accounts for 2/3 of the lost Catholics.

This is the kind of thing that you don't do. You just blurt out unsupported opinions.
RiversideRedneck wrote:
And what you do is find the words you want and copy/paste them to 'support' you. But you fail to keep reading. From your link: "Protestantism is also on the rise as it offers a less legalistic and hierarchical version of Christianity"
I guess that I need to roll the boulder up the hill a little more, since once again, your mind has slipped tracks.

I know that Protestantism is on the rise in Mexico. I never claimed otherwise. Let's review:

I claimed that "Christianity is dying in both Canada and Mexico" I cited a statistic showing a fall in Catholicism. You implied that this was offset by an equivalent rise in Protestantism. I debunked that with the post quoted at the top of this one, which indicated that Protestantism is on the rise in Mexico, but not enough to support your claim.

And all your little alcohol soaked mind can come up with is that my source said that Protestantism is on the rise.

You're a moron, Dung. A moron. You're not smart enough to discuss this matter. Your mind wanders. You can't stay on point.

It's the same to me. You can point to Germany on a Map. The Earth declares God:

Psalm 19:1
The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.

The existence of the Earth, Plants, Animals, Human Being and this Universe, is as obvious of God's existence, as Germany exist.

It's the same, to me. What your logic have to with me? the logic of a supposed atheist, is foolishness.

Now that you ask, I have done a rather extensive search and cannot find examples. I may have to admit that I have confused belief in a flat eath to a belief that the sun orbited around the earth, for which some famous men were executed, only those that I foudn were exectued for a number of actions against the church inclduing that one.

Giordano Bruno was one person who was executed for his opinions that went against church beliefs of the time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giordano_Bruno

Galileo, who was given a job that Bruno had applied, for was given a very hard time for his findings also, though he was not executed for them.

I will have to concede that particular claim I made may have been in error, at least until such time as I find the information that I had seen a while back concerning that.

In any event we know that many people were executed by Christians, even in the New World, for things which they should not have been but which those who accused them were claiming they were going against Christian beliefs.

I will now quietly try to sneak out a back door with my head down.

This however doesn't alter at all my lack of belief in a god, but perhaps it shows that I too, like believers can make claims that are false, or at least not known to be true.

I hope you decide to understand and not be stubborn.

So now you're trying to say that getting equality is "stepping all over people's faith"?
