You're completely decompensating now. This is not a typical error for you to make. You are making very loose associations. You seem to be in a fugue state of some sort. You're not the same person you were a few days ago.

You know what I'm talking about, don't you?

I don't have a local VFW. You'll have to tell them yourself.

I believe but it doesn't bother me if someone else doesn't...In my thinking it is between them and God. I try to live by the Bible...
Nice to meet you
That reason I think these secular humanists just venting and using writing as a therapeutic exercise.

Because they write and you describe it best, like books and blog postings lol.

I wouldn't be surprise if they were prescribed writing exercises from a clinical doctor as a way to relieve stress iyai!lol.

I think I maybe have heard that quote before and it is appropriate in this situation and many others.
It breaks down a little though, in reality, depending on certain factors, which cannot be different for each person.
If, for example, there is really a God, and this God is the God which you believe in, then what you and I believe or don't believe about that God is irrelevant because the actuality is that this God exists. We may have different understandings or beliefs depending on 'where we are coming from'.
Oh but it is relevant to us both that he does exist, I do see what you are saying however, that if God exists ( which some of us here KNOWS that he does ) then what is irrelevant is that it doesn't matter rather you don't believe or rather I do believe because his existence is not depended on anyone's belief or disbelief one way or the other, the reason that I said it is relevant to us because if I want to be saved, I have to believe for MY souls salvation sake that he is as real and more so than anyone or anything else, or like you I'll be lost due to disbelief and disobedience to his Word. And that is the difference in not only WHERE we are coming from but where we will be GOING.

And here it is again.
Jesus loves you - or else. The reason a person needs to download Jesus 2.0 today is because Jesus says they are wicked, and we know what he does to those kinds of people. What's the message there? It uses the word "love," but its an implied threat that one had better submit.

That's not love, and this religion does not teach love, even if some of its iconography includes Jesus cuddling a lamb, or crepuscular rays fanning out over a dove in flight.

Perhaps if you believed in something besides your own ego, you wouldn't be such a lying insulting a-hole.
Maybe religion is a bunch of BS, however, your posts simply prove that religion isn't needed as an excuse to be a worthless and useless to humanity. You are no better than the people you bemoan and far worse than most.
Nice rebuttal.

You not only conceded the point - or at a minimum, didn't find fault with it - you offer yourself as an example of what it is that I complaint about with you faith based thinkers. I was trying to discuss Christian doctrine - an abstraction, an ides - and your reaction was to have a hissy and strike out with another personal attack.

You people have nothing. Zip. Nada. Bupkis. Squat.[Raspberry sound]

How long will we have to wait for you religites to produce a person of substance that will debate ideas them without getting miffed and begin flinging feces?

You people debate like chimps. Hick-up is swinging from the chandelier with a full diaper, and you're smelling your finger.

But do so with the knowledge that you may find people praying, posting scripture, paying homage to a God of their choosing, or no God at all ...etc.
We also happen to have a couple of dorks running loose ...pay them no mind for they are harmless.
So pls mingle and make yourself to home.
That's very kind of you, but I think you have it backwards. This isn't the thread of yesteryear. Things have changed a lot just in the months that I've been here. This is the New-WSJLM.

May I be the among the first to welcome you. You might hear a little good natured ridicule of faith, and occasional blasphemy, but take it in good spirit and you'll fit right in!

I would have hoped that your reason for believing was a bit loftier than worrying about the fate of your soul, but I have found that is a major motivator for many who claim they believe - FEAR.

Putting aside the fact that you believe, and I trust that you are being honest about that, if somehow it was possible to actually prove the existence of God, and it was found definitely that no God exists, do you think that such information would affect you dramatically?

A second question: Do you have any problems with the fact that certain parts of the Bible, which fundamentalists believe are 100% true, have, in fact, been proved by man, and by more than just one means, to be actually not true? I will not suggest ever that all of the Bible has been proved to be fiction, but I know, and I know that many theologians accept also, that certain parts are not factual.

I'm starting a game for the skeptics here. Post a piece of Biblical scripture that you think is particularly awful, and see if you can get a Christian to defend it as something good.

I think this is complete shit:

Mathew 10:37 “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me. Anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me."
