Doesn't change a thing. I don't have to justify God. I just accept the truth.

These verses are so precious!

Psalm 85:10-12

Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.

The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.

Psalm 118:27-29

The Lord is our God, and He has made His light shine on us..

You are my God and I will praise You;
You are my God and I will exalt You.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.

His love endures forever.

That's a really good way to describe it, "What God wants He takes". In my life it has certainly been proven in many ways :)
In John's gospel Jesus uses the term I am to connect himself to aspects of God's nature and to identify himself as the one who.
supplies all needs
brings knowledge about God to all people
is the way for people to find God and become God's people.
promises that all who believe in him will have enternal life
everyone is invited to share in the common life a new people of God.Just afew things to say from the book of Messages of God.

Now that is a dumb question Mike! You show me who is my God in here.
Take care friend...
Thanks,

Thought I'd ask!

You, like many others on this thread that profess belief in the GOD concept, are so,"matter of fact" as to your expression on this thread as if a GOD sent you here with a purpose of fact not belief, rather than choice. As fact, would you say something other than entertainment is being accomplished here as a result of believing in a GOD?

I know this is an entertainment site as fact, as fact, can you point out something otherwise?

Part way through my post I said I was not interested in turning a Christian, but I will argue against things that some Christians do that are harmful.
The part regarding the shield of Jesus Christ is, of course, imaginary. You are protected from changing as long as you will yourself to stay where you are. If you change that will be because you have reasoned it out and discovered as many of us do that everything you lived by is a myth (except of course some of the positives of the Christian religion, such as the Golden Rule).
Though I, like most people, including most Christians, have no real desire to end my life any sooner than necessary, I do not fear death as being the end, because when it ends I will not know anything more anyway. Just prior to the end, I will no doubt regret that I couldn't stay a little longer to see what might happen in the future.
I think most devout Christians do not want to die either, and most devout Christians also mourn the death of a family member or friend, whereas if they were truly believing that they have gone to something better, they would be cheering that they have died, and even more if they died young so they could get to Heaven sooner.
No, the sheild of Jesus Christ is not imaginery, It is REAL.

What you say , is utterly ridiculous.

Of course, we do not want to DIE and leave our loved ones, and we do not want our loved ones to DIE and leave us and YES we will MOURN---but when it is time and we do PASS out of this world, we are ASSURED that we will be together again. At that time there will b no tears, and we will be together EVERLASTING.

"For GOD so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten SON, and whosoever believeth in HIM will have everlasting LIFE."

The difference in YOU is you don't WANT that assurance, thus you have never BELIEVED, which you do NOT have to---your choice, you have FREE WILL that GOD gave you.

I didn't think you had a desire to end your life----but on the other hand--I don't think you want to live EVERLASTING.

No Bootsy----we do not CHEER when we loose a Loved one, what a mean statement to make---but AGAIN, I say that we know we will be together again and this eases the DEATH of our precious loved ones.

Jesus died on the cross---a theif beside Him repented and Jesus said --"Today you will be with me in paradise, that was a death-bed repentance, but the theif made it.

I would hate to wait that long and miss the many blessings here on EARTH.

In the practice of law, there's a saying:
If the facts are on your side, pound the facts.
If the law is on your side, pound the law.
If neither the facts nor the law are on your side, pound the table.
Posting verses is the Christians' equivalent of pounding the table.
Cute!

Prayer For Strong Faith
God our Father,
you conquer the darkness of ignorance
by the light of your Word.
Strengthen within our hearts
the faith you have given us;
let not temptation ever quench the fire
that your love has kindled within us.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. AMEN

I don't believe I have given a claim as to how humans' emerged, other than a vague statement that I believe that evolution has been proved to have occurred, which is true, but I didn't specify how humans came about in that process. Actaully I don't know how, though I know that other people have made some very probably proposals and have found a lot of evidence to show some of the steps in the development of man from his earlier ancestors.
To believe in Creation is about the same as stating I believe that a fairy can wave a magic wand and make anything he/she wants appear. I don't believe such a thing is possible.
'In the beginning GOD created the Heavens and the EARTH.

You cannot ever prove that GOD didn't CREATE ALL and you can NEVER prove that GOD doesn't exist.

By FAITH we have this PROOF.

'But without FAITH it is impossible to please HIM, for he who comes to GOD must believe that He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY , SEEK Him.

With GOD, ALL things are possible.

Why does my unbelief have to be stated as evident? I have never tried to hide the fact that I don't have a belief in a god. Yes it is my unbelief, supported by evidence of some of the Christian beliefs being false, and no evidence of any Christian beliefs being true.
That would extend to the beliefs of all other religions who follow an invisible deity too, but I state Christian because this topix is pertaining to Christianity and I suspect most participants here are either current or former Christians, or have extensive knowledge of Christianity.
I never claimed you tried to hide your unbelief. I'm saying your unbelief, is yours. And your unbelief, has nothing to do with a Christian's belief that through the Spirit of Jesus Christ one can have access to YHWH Almighty God.

The muslim feels the same way about his religion too. Difference is if you refuse the muslim religion, he might kill you. The Christian brushes you off, and walks away.

And it is your right not to believe that.

I believe YHWH created the Universe, and His son is Jesus Christ.

And I have my right, to believe that.

Dig deeper into those [development of man] theories. You will figure out it's a fairy tale. So what you believe as the [development of man], is way more religious and filled with more faith than what Christians believe.

Never thought I would read the day where on a thread about Jesus, some claim that Scripture from the Bible is pointless, and spam. Odd that when posting on Winlac I very rarely posted Scripture due to the tone of the thread and regulars saying that it was “not a Christian thread”(I respected the request due to being the outsider)…..now when I stop over here to a Christian thread people belittle what Scripture means to us as Christians, like it should not offend us. I have been reading for years now people write,“if you want to post Scripture head on over to Why should Jesus love me“….on ptag and winlac. Now suddenly its an issue to post scripture on a thread that was deemed a Christian thread by non-Christians as well,*this* is the thread I was constantly directed to by non-Christians because I am a Christian…….I wish folks would make up their minds.
I knew how Christians could display such arrogance and slap anyone – Christian or not, outside of topix – with what Bible quotes suited their attack response... Sicks and stones bible that one. Such is immediately taken as personal, changing what could have been a conversational exchange straight into defense mode. A chain reaction follows of how any issue – as Jesus would never have intended – unless addressing those he knew adhered to the Jewish Laws – in which he did call them hypocrites.

But a person of no belief in God, or those with different, does not make them a Biblical hypocrite. A mud sling is the greatest block to progress in peaceful sharing, and there is nothing worse than a Christian who – like a vulture – pounces on a non Christian, with the intent of saving their soul. He said to spread the good news – and that does not mean reel them in on a egotistical hook like another notch in the belt of fishing. He left all with a choice, and many have made theirs, as well as are totally capable of changing their minds to leave Christianity, as equally as return / join if they choose. Jesus did say the door to the kingdom 'shall not be shut at all'... Rev 21-25 as no corruption can enter. We are our own gate keepers as much as the kingdom of God is within.

Good to share with you NS4M... moderating close to beliefs which touch one's emotions is no easy chair to fill. Stay Blessed in your Peace Sister, and take Care.
