<quoted text>I know that unless you're the exception, you looked toward the direction set before you. You looked to "God". You called on Him. You expected an answer. You never got one. That disappointed you. You re-evaluated your personal walk and destination. You blamed "God" and continue to, even though you now reject He even exists.
<quoted text>We both know that I never even insinuated that you failed, at all. We both know that I blamed your religious leaders for raising your expectations so high that you came to expect that which wasn't offered.
<quoted text>I pay attention. The issue, now, is that you can't agree with me. Because, if you do, then that'll excuse "God" for His lack of appearance and performance, as you accuse. You'd rather defend your religious leaders than let "God" off the hook.
I don't know about IANS but for me your post is illogical.

To state that he blamed "God" makes the logical error of assuming God has been proved to exist, which has not occurred. So one who has found no evidence of God, cannot blame God, except if that person "believes' that God does exist, but just can't find Him.

If one has seen no evidence of a god, and thus has no belief that a god exists, one cannot blame this non-existent thing for not showing itself. That would be absurd.

However, I do tend to think it is the fault of the spaghetti monster that I have still not found the evidence that it exists.

The blame in the case of God lies with those who created the God myth in the first place for planting ideas in man's head that a god exists, and then making up various excuses if we can't find that god.

In other words a scam on as mjor scale. Unless of course there is evidence that a god does exist, which so far has never been found.

<quoted text> I hear you Irrira, not many understand scriptural based wisdom when it is conveyed to them, so when speaking generally from your heart to explain yourself and your feelings to those who will better understand you, I have found this to be the case as well that the average person can understand you better when you speak to them more directly without using Bible scripture, because in most cases they are not going to understand what you are talking about, this is why I generally enjoy the fellowship of the saints so much more, because they are much more like minded as ourselves, and yes........you will be able to discern between those who serve God and those who serve him not.
Peace my friend in God's love.
I must thank you for 'hearing me' >>>Lawest<<< and appreciate as said before, you lending me your understanding ears. I believe my identity with my Father, and my Island pastors, being more contact in the Christian fields of humility, has created a great divide from the pomp and ceremony of too many others visited... who do not practice what they preach, or rather prefer to be seen in high places. Perhaps it is like Jesus statement, as 'what reward have we with only those who love us?'

Thank you too for sharing your link re your own... it has been very interesting. Sometimes it is the challenge which holds one above even deeper trials within life, that in the end, become the blessings called the fruits of our lab ours. I am sure your Bishop experienced this too.
Until again my friend, God Bless and keep you nurtured in His Love.

<quoted text> Irrira........let me re-define something here in what I was saying in my post to that poster of which you have taken out of context, when I implied that there are some that would rather sit back and watch and see how the believers will respond to the disaster situations, I was referring directing to the misfits who like to sit back and point out in their twisted opinions of how the believers should be doing more of this and more of that while all the time they themselves are not interested in contributing to anything of value in helping anyone, but are merely here to stir the pot.
BUT.........since you misunderstood me on this point then I apologize and take full responsibility for the confusion and again.........I am sorry and will try to clarify myself a little better in the future.
Blessings.
No need for apology my friend, it was my misunderstanding. If what you were referring to was here, then I can fully see from where you were coming from then. In that light then, I see any trials as with Job... as in my life. It a great analogy as God gives Satan permission to test Job's righteousness, with the end being his endurance.
Take Care Brother and continue in the light of blessed assurance.

"Friendship is something that raised us almost above humanity. This love, free from instinct, free from all duties but those which love has freely assumed, almost wholly free from jealousy, and free without qualification from the need to be needed, is eminently spiritual. It is the sort of love one can imagine between angels."

Blessings.
Perhaps IANS and Alice are speaking at that level because they perceive you at that level, and thus want to speak in language you will understand.

I have found it difficult, when speaking with people such as yourself, to speak on an adult level, because the other person does not seem to be able to go there.

Proverbs 28

1 The wicked flee though no one pursues,
but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
2 When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers,
but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order.
3 A ruler[a] who oppresses the poor
is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
4 Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked,
but those who heed it resist them.
5 Evildoers do not understand what is right,
but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.
6 Better the poor whose walk is blameless
than the rich whose ways are perverse.
7 A discerning son heeds instruction,
but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.
8 Whoever increases wealth by taking interest or profit from the poor
amasses it for another, who will be kind to the poor.
9 If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction,
even their prayers are detestable.
10 Whoever leads the upright along an evil path
will fall into their own trap,
but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.
11 The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.
12 When the righteous triumph, there is great elation;
but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.
13 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
14 Blessed is the one who always trembles before God,
but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.
15 Like a roaring lion or a charging bear
is a wicked ruler over a helpless people.
16 A tyrannical ruler practices extortion,
but one who hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long reign.
17 Anyone tormented by the guilt of murder
will seek refuge in the grave;
let no one hold them back.
18 The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe,
but the one whose ways are perverse will fall into the pit.[b]
19 Those who work their land will have abundant food,
but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty.
20 A faithful person will be richly blessed,
but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.
21 To show partiality is not good—
yet a person will do wrong for a piece of bread.
22 The stingy are eager to get rich
and are unaware that poverty awaits them.
23 Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor
rather than one who has a flattering tongue.
24 Whoever robs their father or mother
and says,“It’s not wrong,”
is partner to one who destroys.
25 The greedy stir up conflict,
but those who trust in the Lord will prosper.
26 Those who trust in themselves are fools,
but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.
27 Those who give to the poor will lack nothing,
but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.
28 When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding;
but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.

Btw........if I were you my friend, I wouldn't speak of ANYONE'S inability to go anywhere in a conversation or an inability to come UP to one when it pertains to the things of God, because you fail miserably. Keeping you and others in prayer.
