Jesus was the son of David.
Seventeen verses in the New Testament describe Jesus as the "son of David." But the question arises, how could Jesus be the son of David if David lived approximately 1000 years before Jesus? The answer is that Christ (the Messiah) was the fulfillment of the prophecy of the seed of David (2 Samuel 7:14-16). Jesus was the promised Messiah, which meant He was of the seed of David. Matthew 1 gives the genealogical proof that Jesus, in His humanity, was a direct descendant of Abraham and David through Joseph, Jesus' legal father. The genealogy in Luke chapter 3 gives Jesus' lineage through His mother, Mary. Jesus is a descendant of David, by adoption through Joseph, and by blood through Mary. Primarily though, when Christ was referred to as the Son of David, it was meant to refer to His Messianic title as the Old Testament prophesied concerning Him.

With the post about Suriname toads and Spadefoot toads, I meant to say, I added BOTH to Favorites. I looked, and I think it came across as though I added just the Suriname toads, but NO, I added both! Or maybe it didn't come across that way, but anyway, I added both to Favorites. I LOVE them both, and I meant to say I added both. Thanks, Peace Warrior! You're awesome!!:)
I am so glad you found these of great interest my Friend.... I was reading your posts about about whales, and animal sounds. It was an intriguing link you included which I kept also. It too has amazed me just how they understand a language different to our own, and when in a home of a Philippine family member, I see this. Too cute when our language of love comes in a cuddle.

He is making claims against me and about me yet I am the only one on this entire thread that has posted proof that I am what I say I am.
All I see of Catcher is some clown pretending to be an international criminal attorney with nothing to back it up. Then I have equally anonymous posters claiming he is a Harvard Don and other ludicrous stuff.
He needs to put up or shut up. So do you. You claim all this stuff about him with no proof what so ever.
If he is all those things claimed then his behavior here is disgusting and it is small wonder he doesn't want anyone to know who he is.
I understand you've been schooled and are angry.

You should take up religion. You are very good at making stuff up and claiming it is The Truth.
Incorrect.

You would not have posted that nonsense if you knew what plagiarism was -- unless you know and just don't care.

Frankly, given some of your posts, it appears to be a bit of both.

It doesn't exist. Plagiarism is an academic/journalism term for an academic/journalism setting.
You can no more "plagiarize" here than you can be accused of "exceeding the national speed limit" at a race track.
Incorrect.

Plagiarism has been recognized inside and outside academia since at least antiquity.

I've posted this before. Even in antiquity, plagiarism was recognized and sometimes punished. Didn't have to be an academic or journalist:
Ehrnam wrote:
It is sometimes stated that plagiarism was either nonexistent or nonproblematic in Greek and Roman antiquity. As a prominent publication of the Jesus Seminar tells us:“The concept of plagiarism was unknown in the ancient world.” In point of fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Plagiarism was known, discussed, and condemned in ancient sources. As one of the best studies of the phenomenon, by Bernard Legras, summarizes:“In spite of the reticence of our sources and assuming that our texts are indeed admissible, we have been able to establish that plagiarism and forgery of literary works were considered offenses and punished.” Legras does go on to qualify his statement:**plagiarism and forgery were under legal sanction only in cases that appear to have affected the concerns of the state. There is no evidence of any proprietary laws, at any time or place, involving the concern to keep writings in general intact and safe from borrowing, or “stealing” as the ancients called it.**

....

When plagiarism was detected in antiquity, it often had actual social repercussions. Thus Vitruvius recounts an incident involving Aristophanes of Byzantium, one of the judges of a literary contest staged by the King of Pergamum to celebrate the dedication of his famed library. Aristophanes, we are told, had “read every book in the library,” and when the authors who presented their work were judged, he ruled that only one was worthy of the prize, to the consternation of the other judges and the king. But Aristophanes demonstrated that except for the one, all the “others recited borrowed work whereas the judges had to deal with originals, not with plagiaries [ceteros aliena recitavisse; oportere autem iudicantes non furta sed scripta probare].”.... The result, Vitruvius tells us, was that the plagiarizers were forced “to confess they were thieves [coegit ipsos furatos de se confitieri]. The king then ordered them to be brought to trial for theft. They were condemned and in disgrace, while Aristophanes was raised to high office and became librarian”(Book 7, Preface 7).

Look at how they attempt to speak like us, the crows, dogs, and other species. It's clearly not just a cute trick. They have it in them to want to do it, to will themselves. The only thing challenging them is physiology. So, I wonder if one day they WILL be able to speak like us, if they try hard enough (And they DO try hard). Perhaps evolution can make it possible. This goes to show that non-humans are NOT blank slates. Something has to be "in there" in order for them to learn, and we KNOW they can learn. They understand and they learn.

And Migaloo the White Whale has such a beautiful melody. It's just so eerie and wonderful. I love listening to whale sounds. They give me chills because they're so incredible and astounding.

And yes, those Belugas made me happy. I loved seeing them open their mouths.

I'm happy about the videos you send me!! I appreciate them so much!! I always add them all to my Favorites list.

GOD BLESS YOU!!
