There's that cheery Christian dogma again.

Speaking of the rapture, this YouTube at
might amuse you

It's a one minute excerpt from the HBO series "Six Feet Under" about a family that ran a funeral home. Every episode began with a death that was usually connected to the episode. This is one of those opening death scenes. Let me set it up for you:

We see a truck loaded with helium filled sex dolls being delivered by a couple of teenage boys to the site of a porn industry awards banquet scheduled for later that night. Unfortunately, the boys aren't paying attention to the road, and have to slam on their brakes, releasing all of the blowup dolls from the truck into the air.

A block or two away is a priggish Christian woman listening to Christian radio while driving her car, which has an "I break for the rapture" bumper sticker on it. She sees the dolls rising, and hilarity ensues.

<quoted text>
CS, what would you have done if by some event or lack of event, the Bible had never been written, or if written, all of it had been lost a few years or generations after it was written?
Would you have all the concepts about Creator etc., if that had happened?
Personally, I highly doubt you would. A lot of people use the claim that evidence of God is all around us, and we only have to look to see it. That is a very subjective statement and absolutely ridiculous in some situations.
The things of which you speak, which are evidences of a Creator, or God, could have various effects on individuals. Some may see a beautiful seascape, which I saw this morning, when I attended a Sunrise Good Friday service with my wife's sister and her husband, out of courtesy to them, and to give us an outing, rather than any desire on my part to recognize a religious event, though at one time I would have wanted to for religious reasons, is a sign of God, while someone again, like myself, may see the waves I saw and remember that in January 2010 similar waves almost left me dead (I would be dead except for the quick action and resuscitation skills of two young life guards), and be horrified by that scene, and know that no Creator could possibly create something as ugly as a wave that would kill one of its children.
[Sorry about that very long sentence and poor grammar]
That we see certain things as beautiful or not, and that we see them as Creations of a Creator, depends, IMO, on how we were taught to see such things. Things of nature just ARE. How we perceive them is how we have conditioned our brains to perceive them.
If someone had not introduce the idea of Creationism and made it popular, especially in attempts to keep religion in the schools in the USA, which is counter to USA Constitution, then humans would not be so much into trying to point out that things we see are proof of God.
Things we see are actually only proof that we can see, and because we can only see things with our own eyes, or sense them with our own other senses, we don't actually even know that any two people see the same thing at all, though I suspect that all see the same objects except those with sight impairments or color blindness, etc.
We know that in some of man's history he claimed that things, such as thunderstorms, were acts of invisible supernatural beings, because at those times man had no means of finding out anything else about those events. Today we know exactly what a thunderstorm is, what causes it, and what it can do, though, of course, we are not accurate in always predicting exactly when and how big the storm will be. We know that perfectly explainable natural causes are behind the thunderstorm, that these storms do a lot of good to the earth (and many also do harm), and that no unseen super creature need be involved at all (though many would still argue why nature acts that way, and the why is God - an argument but not a logical one).
Mankind has always created his gods from that which he does not understand.

christians create their god in the first pool of ignorance they find.

No amount of ignorance is too small, in which to create a christian god.

<quoted text>No sir, there is no truth in your statement whatsoever, those who are redeemed by the Lord know so down in their spirit, and since you are not at this point in your life, you don't have any reference point to relate and understand is being said, you see that too comes from experience on a spiritual level of which you lack, with all due respect you are looking very foolish telling others what they do not have in the Lord and again that is the very height of arrogance and idiocy, the adversary has done a masterful job in blinding you.
1 Corinthians 1:18-28
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

Not assuming anything, just having fun with your words, as I was already in R and R when you said to get some! It is my enduring state of... no matter what I'm doing.

Sometimes it would be nice to see expressions, as more often than not my heart smiles, so maybe that would be seen in my eyes. That should tell you also 'how' I truly am... It's called light hearted. Not always understood because of it either, so must have something to do with that peace that passes all understanding.

Long days can be very long. Hard days hard. But holding joy in our hearts holds one above the ticking clocks of time.

Take Care my brother and enjoy your own well earned rest. I was playing also on yours and HFN's comments... like 'age related' aches. So added if you can walk then praise God - with the lightest spirit you can imagine - because not to be able to... is when one could easily give up.

Isaiah 5:24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
*
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
*
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
*
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
*
28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
*
29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.
*
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Matthew Henry’s Commentary:
Isaiah 5:24-30 Let not any expect to live easily who live wickedly. Sin weakens the strength, the root of a people; it defaces the beauty, the blossoms of a people. When God's word is despised, and his law cast away, what can men expect but that God should utterly abandon them? When God comes forth in wrath, the hills tremble, fear seizes even great men. When God designs the ruin of a provoking people, he can find instruments to be employed in it, as he sent for the Chaldeans, and afterwards the Romans, to destroy the Jews. Those who would not hear the voice of God speaking by his prophets, shall hear the voice of their enemies roaring against them. Let the distressed look which way they will, all appears dismal. If God frowns upon us, how can any creature smile? Let us diligently seek the well-grounded assurance, that when all earthly helps and comforts shall fail, God himself will be the strength of our hearts, and our portion for ever

God did make he first humans that way on earth. The presence of the Enemy of God, tempted the first humans. They knew it was not the voice of God, and they yielded to a fraud. Humans introduced sin into existence, not God. Humans are responsible for sin.
1/3 of Angels disagreed, because they was a WAR. Lucifer, was an extremely potent and powerful presence in heaven. Pride took him over, and he went after God. That just shows how powerful the enemy of God is. A Jesus Follower will not have lucifer in heaven to start a war, so I'm quite comfortable in that I will not want to rebel.
However that is the afterlife. For now the blessings is this life is good. When I get to Glory with the Christ, that is a whole another existence. I will be concerned with that existence, when it comes.
