As much as you and others might want to think we hate you Chris not all of us do. We just believe and think differently.
Maybe some that have left here has left because of the fighting that Christians do among themselves. I don't know why people left but can you honestly put all the blame upon those that are not of your faith? Look at how you treat each other at times.
It has become quite obvious on this thread exactly how most of you think about those that are not Christian. Most of you are just as vocal about expressing that as the non-Christians are.
I have backed off posting here much the last few days...this place is not healthy for me and I asked myself...why would I spend time with people that think so little of me...angel of darkness...satan's daughter...and all those other things.
I could go on but it is not in my best interest to continue...it is a beautiful day here today and I think I will enjoy it.
Do what you have to do. Said it before will say it till I die nobody can brag on anything but God. I get it. You reject the word of God. I don't. It states that once not so long ago I was a son of satan until I gave up and asked Christ to make me new.(John 3:3) Take it anyway you want but its not people that serve the devil thats my problem, its the devil. I don't think little of you or anyone because none of us know what we may do in the future. But its obvious for many this forum is an excuse in mocking Christ and Christians. What a waste.

I know you used it as a joke Sister Friend, just as I might use it as a spring board to share reasons around why some might fight over all things in discussion.
That is exactly what I had mentioned earlier to you... and how sometimes minds – and hearts – even connect. Face to face it would be easier, by looking one in the eye and speaking. My Faith is your Faith... that you can count on. It seems we just all have different callings when it comes to what is required of us.
Again... I know satan is as real as God... I just don’t give 'him' any credit. Am trying to express having overcome this beast which holds those bound. So then I refer to him as the big bad wolf – because I have fought him face to face in the spiritual realm, and he's VERY real – but was granted the victory through Jesus. I can't write it all here... but it is in my little book. Quite an astounding event! As amazing as having seen Jesus alive also...
So I trust you will forgive my child-like ways of finding the best English terms which might help even a child understand more fully... That even tho' I – the least – know for a certainty... I too am a daughter of my Father, as equally as any children of God. That through Faith alone I have come face to face with that truth.
The rest is no different to any stutter who would try and covey the result.
God Bless you HFN.
I’m sorry I don’t always understand what you are saying. I would not call it child like. No disrespect meant I just don’t know how to answer if I don’t ask. Sometimes I’m not sure if you are bouncing off of what I say or trying to tell me I’m wrong using an example. Yes it would be better to understand each other if we were talking face to face but we will manage.

I hope you did not think I was saying you were not a child of God because I was not.:)

I think granted the victory through Jesus is pretty much what I said too, at least meant. I’m glad God takes care of us in that way!:)

But I will say this. I am not bored at all. Yes, I have much to be thankful for, and I do my best to show my appreciation in the manner in which I live my life.
I leave you to your wondering about "you people," and I invite you to join the rest of us in the 21st Century.
Thanks for the response and hasta la vista, dude.
Indeed, a smog filled, acid rain, rain forest depleted 21st century. Marvelous!

If you do not suffer bigots, I sure wonder how you can stand yourself.

I have no problem with you living or with any being being alive, but it doesn't mean you should live your live contrary to Law and because Law doesn't agree with you that you should force to change it.

I will always be a bigot for truth, justice and light and against darkness, wickedness, evil practice and deception.

You sir don't have tyour priorities in order. You serve no master so your morals (or lack there of) are portrayed as loose on this thread, and you seem to support a free for all type of behavior.

You pretend not to know that man is its own worst enemy and that rules or Law not just protect us from others but equally and most importantly, from ourselves. You sir, hate teh Law of Yahweh so you say you do not believe in a Creator, all because He believes not it what you want and wish for others.

Then, that's too bad for you feller. I still wish you the best somehow.

If i may, i can agree with you to a point. As for the true followers of Jesus Christ who are rooted and grounded will endure to the end, they shall not be moved. I totally agree. The problem that we see and have today in this country/world is all the false teachers and preachers who have lead astray thousands of people from THE ''sound doctrine'' of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a famine in the land today and has been here for a while, and thats not a famine of bread and water, but for the ''hearing'' of the Word!!
Bible speaks of this in 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
This is very true. Its why some so called churches are thought well of and others are said to preach hate. Witness this very forum and anyone that stands on the word. No matter, the gates of hell shall not prevail. God bless you.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness how can it be made salty again. It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by men.

You are the light of the world.A city on a hill cannot be hidden.Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Matthew 26
13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
***

mmmmmmmmm
They're still talking!

***

John 20:14-16:
At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. "Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?"
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."
Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).

According to this gospel, Mary Magdalene was the first person to see the risen Jesus. She didn't recognize him initially and thought he was a gardener. But when he spoke her name, she immediately knew who he was.

***

Well it's true.
When I saw him, no-one - and I mean NO-one - can imitate his voice!

***
John 20
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

18 Mary Mag'dalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

***

Oh Mary... looks like many Christians did't note what Jesus said... "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."

He did not call himself God...
He said Mary's God was his...
And he said he 'went up'...

One thing is for certain he is not still floating on that while cloud either.

What is it that so many truth seekers are so afraid of reality?

So what should I say again that I haven't already shared in here? That he's alive and I have seen him! That he's as real as you and me! That... OK... it's all a bit much like it was for the folk then, but you'll see when you least expect it. I want to see any faces who don't believe like doubting Thomas then...

There is nothing left that I can be called in your language. But it's all in my little book. Every experience reported... and the rest of sharing called respect.

Therefore everyone who hears theses words of mine and put them in practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

The rains came down the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall, because it had it foundation on the rock.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who builds his house on sand.

The rain came down and streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell with a great crash.

When Jesus had finished saying theses things the crowds were amazed at his teachings because he taught as one who had authority and not as their teachers of the law.

<quoted text>Not knowing you personally
Peace.
I suppose your intent is good, if we can forget about the obvious compulsion to claim some sort of higher knowledge of something that as yet no man knows to exist (that is the absolute truth) based on "revelation" as you state, however I have been close enough and involved enough throughout life with the 'things of God' to know that those who make that claim are only 'thinking' they have some greater knowledge. I suppose some have been duped into actually believing that they have gained some insight which the masses do not have, but I know that is a crock.

God either exists or does not exist. The burden of proof is on those who claim he exists, and especially those, like yourself, who claim that God has been revealed to them. Though many men have made such a claim over the history of the current God which we are speaking of (I assume), as of yet not one of these men has shown that proof to others, so that all can then be satisfied that yes God does exist, and from here on 'belief' that God exists is no longer a necessity because now we "know" that God exists.

As stated hundreds, if not thousands, of times on Topix, non-believers cannot prove their side of the subject, because that is a logical impossibility. The only thing we have is to be shown the proof by those who 'know' or to refute claims of 'proof' which man has proved are false, and there are actually many claims of proof of God that have been totally proved to be false.

I see 3 possible situations: 1) God exists and he has been seen by man and that is now accepted universally as the truth because the evidence is clear, 2) God exists but no man has ever seen the evidence of this God, because this God cannot be seen by man, or is in a place where man as of yet cannot reach with his various abilities, or 3) God is a myth created by man as were all of the previous gods of ancient men, which we know historically that man once worshiped but now these gods are accepted universally as being mythical.

What we know today makes me think that #3 is the most likely truth, though #2 cannot ever be completely tossed out because we know that existence is way beyond our current capabilities of seeing or recording (example - we are discovering by more recent means that the universes are much larger and there are many more of them than man ever imagined before.

#1 cannot be accepted because it has not nor does not happen. No man has proved the existence of a god, and can show the rest of the world this proof so that the question is settled. Unlike the ancient belief that the earth was flat, which became entirely redundant when the earth was proved to not be flat, as of yet we still have beliefs in a god or gods, because no one as of yet has ever proved otherwise, nor that there is a god.

We can argue until the cows come home about whose beliefs are true and whose are false, and who has had a revelation and who hasn't, but until God has been proved to exist, it is still an open question, and only a belief.
