What you've witnessed is a cakewalk. It'll be okay.
Agreed.

A couple fist fights but nothing like the rumbles that have stained these walls red in the past.

Interesting.
What seems to be the major disconnect between most of us our focus on the issues.
You have a sociological interest, I have a historical interest, Hiding has a biological interest and we often misunderstand each other. How do we honestly expect those who have an emotional/spiritual interest to understand us... or us them ?
As an anthroplogist I am 'supposed to be' trained to remain an aloof observer yet find that all but impossible here. How much do I expect the 'untrained' to be unbiased when I can;t even do that ?
I am not condemning anyone I just think many of the arguements here a result of a clash of paradigms.
Perhaps it is because we are so alike that we tend to harp on the differences. When I read MAc's post about New Guinea cannibalism I was reminded of when I researched the Fore' tribes I found it sad that a horrible disease was transmitted by what was a very loving and respectful funeral ritual.
They were so different I could stand back and appreciate, understand and empathize with them as humans much more than if they wore suits and dresses and ate their loved one's remains at a Victrian dining table...'that' would have been perceived by me as repulsive.
Sorry to ramble.

How intelligent you are, mocking his writing. That's it? That's all you've got? Pathetic.
He was pointing out Trifecta's not citing a cut and paste article in perfect English as his own.

A perfectly valid attack, that was.
As for the rest, carry on. < hands JLu a balloon >

I've seen no evidence or proof suggesting you know much of anything. Seems you were a lousy deluded Christian and are now a lousier deluded 'secular humanist'. You just seem to love causing strife. As long as you agree with yourself...
I see him as someone disenchanted with the Christian faith..

Is it his ,IANS's job to stroke Christianity?

Is Christianity as weak as you people on wsjlm are making it seem to be?

Toughen up..

I find you silly..

Yes, it does have to do with morals and their correlation
What? I don't practice medicine or comment like I do. I comment like I know medicine and have practiced it. And I do speak for a group - everybody that agrees with me.
Do you really want to do battle, Dim? Stay down. Get back on the mat.
Wow your dementia is kicking in again huh? You claimed the other day people put their lives in your hands. And my post about your codependency has nothing to do with morals, try to follow along Doolittle! lol on your explanation for why you always speak in plural. it is your desperate need to think you speak for a group that motivates it. Other people make comments im sure others agree with and they dont have the need to refer to themselfs as plural. now you want me on a mat? Hey at least you went a post without mentioning my genitals! LOL Who is putting their lives in your hands?

I do not a see a reason for the people claiming a faith and
religion here on- wsjlm- to be judging another's walk here on this

sphere called earth..
I love reading your posts and am happy to make your acquaintance.
I am a Christian - yet according to many on this thread..
I am not..
Which is what is keeping me coming back here- lately.
:)
The word 'Christian' doesn't mean much any more. Do you follow your heart ? The heart knows few words.

I understand your point.
But I would be intellectually dishonest to attribute anything to a supernatural being. I just don't believe in the supernatural, that's just the way I am. I think gods, astrology, ghosts, hexes, witches, all that stuff is created by the brain but doesn't exist independently.
Ahhhh ~ you discount everyone else's experiences in these areas because you don't feel them? Don't worry, you are not alone..... you are a part of your forest, and I am a part of my forest, and they are on opposite sides of the fence. Thank GOD :)

We don't tease them, but we chuckle at some of their ways. They're the only ones who wear black socks with sandals. And they wear a lot of floppy canvas hats and like to walk with sticks that look like ski poles. I don't know what those are all about.
Probably to hit people, trying to own them, on the head.

Hello Trifecta..
G-O-D is a college professor though..What makes a good professor?
A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron.~Horace Mann
A teacher's purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.~Author Unknown
What the teacher is, is more important than what he teaches.~Karl Menninger
Teaching should be full of ideas instead of stuffed with facts.~Author Unknown
The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book.~Author Unknown
Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.~John Cotton Dana
Good quotes.

But professors do not have any authority on this billboard. We are not their students. I'm certainly not.

So when they make a claim on the billboard, its their basic duty to supply where it can be found. Just because they are a teacher or a college professor gives their words no more weight than anyone else on this billboard.

When I state a claim in a discussion, I either post a link or a book where those claims can be found.

When someone says the apostle paul was not a Jew or that he was an homosexual, or whatever their criticisms are of Christianity, they need to source where they read that info. If they are depending on the word "professor" before their name to give them any credibility, I laugh at them.

There are many Professor "Nuts" out there, professing falsehoods, lies, fantasies and illusions.

Actually anyone on an internet billboard using a title to generate respect of their words, need to be scrutinized more than those that simply write their thoughts and opinions without [title] dropping. That reeks of arrogance, insecurity, and they don't think they as smart as they claim to be.

First there´s no such thing as gay children.
Secondly there are many parents who can´t have own children for some reasons let them adopt children coz every child deserve to have mom + pop like 100% of the ppl here on this thread.
Scientists say it is not in their DNA, but they only understand such a small % of our DNA and how it activates that they are only guessing. Again.
