But on the other hand, I don't see why a troll should constrict my right to expression. And their hateful cries for attention can sometimes be spun into a lighthearted joke.

This is OUR thread now, I hope you realize it.
You are no more than an interloper.
So sayeth Pastor Catcher.
???
When did you and your village neanderthals get the deed of ownership to this website? lol.

Your thread? poor you. that like a few misguided slow brained atheists storming the Vatican and screaming this out property now haha.

Religion OWNS you. We OWN you. You're a Slave to the Christian Religion and we will speak to you as we please, reprimand you when we please and throw you a few pieces of crumbs so you can lather up an argument when we so please.

Your philosophy otherwise is of no use for Christianity. Your beliefs are inferior and getting run out of the intellectual and scientific arena as we speak.

So hunker down slave.

You are missing out IMHO in regards to Shrink. It's like trying to debug a malfunctioning software program. I find it both interesting and fun to see how it works. And actually in our last exchange he was almost civil. Well, comparatively.

That being said, I do not know if you are aware but there have been several comments made by non-Christians on here over the last few days that have been disrespectful towards Christians. I am not saying that you do not step forward when you see such a thing either, as I have read you to do just that. I personally question the reasoning that someone not saying something to another -on here- means that they are in agreement with a statement, at times I think it actually makes things worse. Example: do you think that I should line up for a firing squad with a simile on my face because I am a Christian? I simply pulled this one example, I am not trying to drag anyone through the coals. Just trying to personally understand where the line is (if there is one) when it comes to me not saying anything to a post that I don’t agree with.

There are so many ways that this post can be taken, but not one non-Christian questioned him for clarification. So should I take that to mean that you are all in tact agreement with him, and if so what exactly are you agreeing to? I should just take what is dished out regardless of how offensive or harmful it is because I am a Christian?- or - The darker end of the spectrum, we as Christians should simply line up and be killed, so that we can be with our God since we don’t belong amongst non-believers?(I understand the killed question is extreme, but there are people out there that wish just that.) The comment was simply not questioned. I personally do not correlate that with all non-Christians on here agreeing with him. I don’t even know if people that do not share my faith even see a problem with this statement. I understand what you are getting at - I do, but do you honestly think that I agree with everything I don’t respond to?
K - now I am really confused (no joke)….I went to post the above and see this:

LOL It is confusing isn't it!!!

About non-believers speaking up about Mike...

I have on numerous occasions...it did no good...I think in a way it might have made it worse...hard to tell. I now just scroll past his posts and don't read them.

I think that is what happens sometimes. People such as Mike, DR, Shrinky Dink have been at it so long that everyone has just given up.

My scroll by list gets longer and longer. The criteria for making that list seems to be growing also.

There was this one time...(don't know if you remember him or not) that Bobb-aka-Bobb said some awful things to "G". I stood used my voice and spoke up against it. Bobb then turned on me...which was okay...until...

I turned around and "G" was saying some awful things to Bobb...I had to use my voice and speak up again...to "G". Then they were both mad at me. LOL

I honestly believe that is why some people don't speak up...they know...they will be the next target.

One's an innie, on'es an outtie.

Sorry.
Not trying to bring this up again my friend but by now, they know our position and they don't plan on changing, don't plan on viewing our stand-point as moral and they certainly don't plan on at least looking at their lives to possibly change. Frankly speaking, they just pretty much came in here to waste everyone's time. If you notice, most of them don't add anything of susbtance to the thread. all they do is come here to socialize and as a bonus, make a mockery of everyone carrying on this charade. Now I ask you brother, take a look at the below passage of scripture.

1 Corinthians 11:1-16 (KJV)

11 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
*******

Now we know this is a most overlooked passage in scripture. For one thing, there were no churches back in the day and next, the women care not about wearing a covering especially when they go to worship or teach scripture. When it says women should cover also not just out of respect for man (their husband) and for The Most High One, but also that the Angels, even the fallen ones don't seduce them like in teh days of old when their were giants on the land. Here's the big thing. Paul is not saying men should not have long hair as he would also be directly going against Numbers 6.

However, not 2 things.
1. He was speaking to the people of Corinth where many of the men were effeminate in behavior.
2. They used to tie their hair, covering it with like a rag, but also they used to style their hairs growing it long with styles like the women. Effeminacy was rampant and a part of Greek society. Paul was having none of it. So some poeple would think only the OT speaks out against same sex relations, but the NT does it too.
Just pointing something out.

Shalom!

Andrew (CS).

Dear God, There are people in this world that I can learn so much from; people who have gone through hard things that have strengthened their faith, people who have been Christians for years and are so much more spiritually mature than I am. On the other hand, there are people in this world who can learn from me. Please show me if there is someone you would have me be a mentor to or someone who should be my mentor. And please, keep working on me so that I might be the witness in the world that you want me to be. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Hello HFN
I understood the question was around my own experience when I made report of my 10 years on the streets - by choice - in Africa
I wouldn't change my experience for anything on the planet with what I got out of it.
The earth has truly helped me understand so much of what Jesus said. And I am the richer for having loved what others call,'the sinners' with his same unconditional Love.
I know that some Christians do help more - I have been with the Salvos and others etc - but overall I found it incredible at that time in that experiment...
...That the average folk who helped 'me'... were all of what I wrote. Non-believes who held nothing against me but invited me into their homes. Who clothed, fed, visited me in prison, and in hospital, and gave me some-where to sleep.
Yet those who I know who were in higher places in their own Christian set-up's were a crying shame.
I can fully understand what Jesus meant, when he said... "in as much as you did it unto one of the least of these my brethren... you did it for me."
I was the least in the Christians eyes in that experiment, and continue to be the least even today.
This is not a complaint. I come from a higher place called my Father's house. It is a choice.
Folk are more grateful at the bottom of the ladder of Christianity, than on a wrung so high, they fail to see themselves as they cannot.
It is understandable also that such a report as this would spike a Christian's ideals, but not all would even stoop to enter a bar or even a gutter... then or there.
I could write another book on how they - Christians - too have treated me, and am no less and outcast today then I was then. If anyone should be anti-Christian it should be me/us who have been treated badly by - but instead our faith too has remained steadfast throughout any ordeal.
I too am witness as much as anyone else to their own story. But I cannot change the truth of my report which I wrote - despite being Christian then myself also - any more than I could change any Christian's attitude who is holler-than-thou.
Only life could teach that.
It seems to be many forget where they came from before their Christianity, in the way that they are too quick to throw the Bible right back at the very one's they left behind.
Jesus did not do that, but rather he used the Law against the Scribes and Pharisees.
This was not a personal attack, but a statement of fact based on the whole... born out of a report.
Peace be with you - PW/Irrira
Her PW,
Not an attack??? Maybe, maybe not. Is this an attack PW?

My statement was not attacking you.

IANS was using what you said to down Christians. I was, out of my on experiences, letting it be known that Christians were good people. My statement was also a fact based on my experienced. Experience of Christian people who though they didn’t know me, out of the love in their hearts help me.

Yes there are holler-than-thou attitudes and not just from Christians either.

Peace back at ya
HFN

He also came out strongly against homosexual marriage. So there won't be no liberal pope with pope francis. I like the guy and his humility. I pray he does well.
As an individual I can say that I admire anyone who takes a stand against sexual immorality and abortion, but that is as far as my respect for him will go as I too am not catholic and it doesn't mean anything to me personally one way or another.
