I'll bet you pay her, too, don't you? Every month.

I guess what bothers me about the evolution of this thread is the change of the topic from the design of atonement to anything but the design of the atonement. Why should Jesus love me? Because I was given to Him by the father to be included in His eternal plan.
6 "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You; 8 for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me. 9 I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours; 10 and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. 11 I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are. 12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the [fn3] son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

mmmmmmmmmm ?
I'm sorry, Peace_Warrior.

that I didn't ignore you. I, just recently, got laid off from my job, so for a few days, I spent most of my time looking for more work. Then, I had to take on the full-time house-husband role, too. My time here (in Topix in general) was limited. So, I only posted, maybe, one or two posts a day if time permitted. I ended up falling so far behind that I decided to just skip the 20+ pages I had missed. I'd be glad to answer any questions that you might have asked if you can recall what they were. Likewise with posts you posted.

Again, I apologize.

Until next time...

huh oh
That condemns Modern Christianity right there.

Worship the book of a Roman Emperor as God's word and follow a false apostle instead of Jesus.

Wonder how much money she got outta cashing in on that one?

Take Care lil sister.

If Jesus was not married then he didn't live as a man and all the doctrines of Christianity are false.

There is nothing inconsistent with Judaism having a married Messiah. You must be thinking of Paul's hatred of women and marriage. One can easily postulate that Paul was a closet homosexual and chronic masturbator as well.(read Paul and Thecla)

Sorry, I don't follow Paul. I believe in Jesus.

Ja, thanx... I should have read the tag of the page which seemed to be the only thing which said so. So many branches today, it is hard to keep up!
...but here...
I shared a 'mission' with you Grace, as thought with your own interests with the homeless...?
http://www.topix.com/forum/topstories/T0N0LOR...
But that's OK if you can't - many feel challenged - but this was not intended, but a valid point of the journey, and very interesting.
I am yet to meet another who gives up all, and it would be nice to share experience with some-one.
It sue is a journey of an incredible kind.
God Bless you too Sister.
Take Care with all those studies!
Hi PW..
I read your "mission". If you don't mind, can you be a bit more specific. Did Christians treat you badly for helping the homeless or becuase you were homeless? I'm sorry, I am a little confused. Maybe I am just tired and need some sleep,:) You seem to be on an incredible journey. I would love to hear some of your stories. Thanks so much..You are an inspiration to me and I look forward to hearing more. My studies are going good. I do them 3 nights a week. I really enjoy learning. I just wished that I was this eager to learn when I was younger. Where are you from? I will be honored to listen to your experiences. I can't say that I give up all. I just do what I feel God is leading me to do. I do it for His Glory because He has done so much for me. God Bless You

So then men ought to regard us a servants of Christ and as thoses entrusted with the secret things of God.

Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court;indeed I do not even judge myself.

My conscience is clear but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges.

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time;wait til the Lord comes.

He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts

<quoted text>I have been hearing that message for a long time now that going to church is not that important anymore as well. Been hearing it from a pretty influential pastor to. But I agree with you that coming together as a group to worship is very important. And although there is so much churches now that mostly market and sell Christianity than to minister to the needs of the community, going to church either on a wednesday night, friday night or sat/sunday mornings or all of them still important.
The tribesman at a distinct disadvantage without the bible as far as growth is concern. But I truly think where the believer lack, God will pick up the slack. Before the hew testament was written down, many of the apostles did miracles, because that was needed for they to be credible. Now we have the new testament, you not see people do miracles like they do in Acts no more.
So even thought the tribesman can't read, cant go to church, and no have a bible. If the message of a personal savior can be relayed to him either by non verbals or they own language, if that tribesman or tribeswoman truly believe with they heart, YHWH will sustain them and grow them in His own way. If we say the bible must be present, then we limit YHWH. And there is no limit to what YHWH can do with a heart committed to Him.
Good evening Trifectal, I agree with your post about many alledged churches are trying to sell Christianity for profit, they can never sell the Lord Jesus Christ in reality because only HE can draw men and women unto him, and his sheep will hear his voice and respond, and I agree up to an extent about the tribesman but I still maintain that God will find a way to get the Word to an honest heart and sincere heart, be it by a pastor or servant in person or by multimedia i.e. television, radio, internet etc, so essentially we are saying the same thing but a little differently, I too believe that God can sustain that person to a point without the Word, but to truly grow in Christ and to be able to put on the whole armor of God.........then at some point they are going to have to receive the sincere milk of the Word, remember Jesus said that my people perish from a LACK of knowledge.

I've enjoyed corresponding with you, have a Blessed night.

sabbath according to me,is a part of ceremonial Law conected to OT.
also Mat 15;9
Jesus point to all those representants of worldwide churches who worship their own man -made teachings, holidays, sabbaths,bi rthdays, etc....
I PERSONALY DOESN'T SEE SABBATH AS SPECIAL HOLY DAY OF GOD
EVERYDAY OWN SPIRITUAL HOLINESS BEFORE GOD IS DAY OF HOLY LIFE,not every 7 days sunday or saturday
never forget, many times under tough shell exist vulnerable most meek and humble creature dependent only from Outside Divine Eniviroment and Divine life, Not OUTSIDE EARTHLY ENVIROMENT?
Well, yeah.

I mean that's the deal isn't it?

Whatever Christians or whatever variant it is that utilizes the OT as its source of origin just whittles and carves out what they like and tosses the rest.

So, sure, "you" don't "personally" see some portions of the mythical text applying to you.

Pretty convenient.

Your mythic deity decided the 7th day was special, holy, and sanctified it right after the "creation", rested, then decided it was so important to him, that it was included in the "commandments" later on.

Do as you like. I don't have a belief in any deity, but if I did, and I believed in that deity.

I'd sure wanna get my ducks in a row.

Agreed. If you believe in the myth and what is purported to be said.

Christianity has implemented all sorts of "man made doctrines".
