Can you put the author's name after your quote? It would be appreciated.

<quoted text>No lady, you are not only wrong, but woefully behind the times. Your science is outdated, come into the 21st Century.
Dr Sam Parnia, MD.
An assistant professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine and the director of resuscitation research in the Department of Medicine at the State University of NY in Stony Brook. He has his medical degree from the University of London. He is a specialist in pulmonary medicine and critical care obtained at the University of Southsampton in the UK and Weill Cornell Medical Center in the U.S. He also has a Ph.d in Cell Biology from the Uni.of Southhampton in the UK.
All his and hundreds of other Scientists involved in research into the psyche or soul being a separate entity, you can find in his latest book:[Erasing Death]
Just a quick observation. Neuroscientist Sir John Eccles, A nobel Prize winner, agreed with Dr Parnia and many more scientist that
[The human psyche or soul is a separate entity from the brain and body and believes that when you die, the psyche or soul continues...]
You can research the book for yourself. But I would respectfully like a genuine effort to answer the questions in this writing from earlier:
[[[
Since you the science buff on the billboard, I want to present this to you.
We will go into names, research and institutions later.
But now there are scientific evidence, that the mind and psyche of a person, what we know as the soul, is a separate and distinct entity from the brain.
What science says they have evidence of, is that when a person dies, and medical death really means Cardiac Arrest. Because when the heart stops, the brain cease to function in all capacity after that.
So NDE's or near death experiences are NOT hallucinations, but that is the soul in its own entity existing by itself.
This is all scientifically proven.
So let me ask you this as an atheist.
Does that evidence not render your belief. Dead? Because atheists always think when the body die, the person don't exist anymore.
SCIENCE is now saying that not true. Religion always knew that, but science saying it, is a game changer don't you think?
What you think that do to Atheism? has Science now effectively Killed Atheism? What do you think?
Will you remain an Atheist in view of this scientific discovery?
You should probably consider giving up the use of the word "science."

<quoted text>That comes through with many of them.

Le_le wrote, "yet, those that do not think as they do, aren't chosen and are products of satan."

Yeah, I get that, too.

Le_le wrote, "They believe they are doing something good for Jesus, that in the end will get them a ride to Heaven on a cloud made just for them."

That's the insidious part. That's what helps otherwise good people do bad.

It's a self-centered philosophy. All you can really save is yourself, so it's each soul for itself. You see it in much of their writing. Apparently, the main reason to be nice to people is to seduce them into religion, since nothing else really matters. Why else would so many post that life without hope of an afterlife or a god is meaningless and need not be lived morally?
Madness.

If you think so.

He dismissed the quote outright and proceeded to quote from another book.

Is one book better than another? I think that's subjective, don't you?

<quoted text>You really needed a statement of principles for a group consisting of 3 people?

Me and my brother formed our own country when we were kids. He was president and i was vice-president. Its fun to play make-believe as a child. Its a little weird to see adults do it

Can you name even one substantial change you have made to the status quo in real life? Anything your "movement" has accomplished? Anything it has done to try to realize its goal of limiting the "church's" influence?

If you were actually accomplishing anything you wouldn't spend so much time online and the only "followers" you have are people who already didn't like the "church" or had issues with it. All you did is make up a name for yourselves.

I can only imagine the hours you spent writing about your movement that pretty much exists in your head. And you call Christians delusional. You want to be known as the founder of 'secular humanism' don't you? Let me ask you this. How does a doctor who claims if his patients want people that care about their overall well-being they should get a social worker get it into his head that he has the slightest idea about humanism? Even when being paid you couldn't go the extra mile for your fellow human being.
Hhmmm interesting questions... Wait for it...

That's weird you mention that because I just saw like ten minutes of it on Tuesday as it came on after the Ultimate Fighter and I was home from work Tuesday. I almost never watch tv direct and download everything but because i was home i watched it live. I was about to turn the tv off when an adversary came on saying the next show had a warning for strong violence and language. So I was curious what kind of show it was. The first ten minutes were great but I had a bunch of crap I was trying to get done so stopped then but actually made a note to check it out. I just started watching season 1 of "Breaking Bad". I am on episode 4.
Looks like I have another show to add to the list!

I know, which was my point.

You're a faith-based thinker, meaning that you feel that you have no duty to be reasonable or consistent. You can have separate standards for Christians and others, and feel no burden to justify that. You just don't feel like explaining yourself, so you don't.

Your religion must be very comforting for you.
Why would anyone feel the need to explain themselves to you?

That's one of the ideas that will lead to your irrelevance. Add the pessimism toward mankind and your losing war with science to that list, and you can see how out of step with humanist values.
Unfortunately for you, we are the ones people are listening to, not you. The harder you resist, the faster you fade away.
Incidentally, by trying to keep gay marriage illegal, it is you that is attempting to impose your values on society. Permitting gay marriage forces nothing on you but tolerance.
You keep rebuking and rebuffing. Do it loudly and often. And adios to your church.
Delusions of grandeur

Nobody knows who you are let alone are they listening to YOU

People vote their conscience, it has nothing to do with you and your 3 friends on the Internet

And newsflash

"Christianity is the most popular religion in the United States, with around 73% of polled Americans identifying themselves as Christian in 2012."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_...

I even used your favorite source so it will sink it

Nothing gets passed without our say so

The less than 5% you represent doesn't affect anything compared to 73%. 73 is larger than 5

<quoted text>Who was vile to Trifecta? I've been the hardest on him, and I have hardly been vile.

On the other hand, he has had harsh words Wilderide in the last few hours, and I'm pretty sure he has zinged most of the rest of us as well in the last few days.

It's not a matter of the Christian being just as vile as the humanists. The Christian is the one calling others hypocrite, slave and whatever deprecatory comment he feels like making. His ethics don't prevent it. They encourage it:

"The fool says in his heart,'There is no God.' They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good" - Psalm 14:1

Of course he points his finger and wags it. He's trained to.
