Dr Sam Parnia, MD.
An assistant professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine and the director of resuscitation research in the Department of Medicine at the State University of NY in Stony Brook. He has his medical degree from the University of London. He is a specialist in pulmonary medicine and critical care obtained at the University of Southsampton in the UK and Weill Cornell Medical Center in the U.S. He also has a Ph.d in Cell Biology from the Uni.of Southhampton in the UK.
All his and hundreds of other Scientists involved in research into the psyche or soul being a separate entity, you can find in his latest book:[Erasing Death]
Just a quick observation. Neuroscientist Sir John Eccles, A nobel Prize winner, agreed with Dr Parnia and many more scientist that
[The human psyche or soul is a separate entity from the brain and body and believes that when you die, the psyche or soul continues...]
You can research the book for yourself. But I would respectfully like a genuine effort to answer the questions in this writing from earlier:
[[[
Since you the science buff on the billboard, I want to present this to you.
We will go into names, research and institutions later.
But now there are scientific evidence, that the mind and psyche of a person, what we know as the soul, is a separate and distinct entity from the brain.
What science says they have evidence of, is that when a person dies, and medical death really means Cardiac Arrest. Because when the heart stops, the brain cease to function in all capacity after that.
So NDE's or near death experiences are NOT hallucinations, but that is the soul in its own entity existing by itself.
This is all scientifically proven.
So let me ask you this as an atheist.
Does that evidence not render your belief. Dead? Because atheists always think when the body die, the person don't exist anymore.
SCIENCE is now saying that not true. Religion always knew that, but science saying it, is a game changer don't you think?
What you think that do to Atheism? has Science now effectively Killed Atheism? What do you think?
Will you remain an Atheist in view of this scientific discovery?
And as you rage on in your quest to prove yourself right, I'm in a discussion showing scaritual the exact opposite, but according to what the bible says and not any scientists. Perhaps, you should read our posts.

What you believe in and are now preaching is called "Noetic Science." Noetic Science is a spiritual approach to what even science can't explain, but based on Christendom's teachings that were based on the ancient "mysteries."

Check it out.

Boo fncking hoo.

We've been dealing with weasly sh!t like this for a long time. I don't care.

What I do care about is it's changing.

Why won't everyone get on the same page at the same time is what I can't figure out.

I was mistaken earlier, it's 8-9 countries, it used to be 15 countries that an atheist got the death penalty for being an atheist.

So I guess we can all find something to support what we are looking for :)
hmmm. Wikepedia says only 1 to 2% are muslims.
Chinese Muslims have been in China for the last 1,400 years of continuous interaction with Chinese society.[1] Muslims live in every region in China.[2] Various sources estimate different number of Muslims in China, but some sources indicate they are about 1–2% of the total population in China are Muslims.

Fox news says its around 100 million Christians in China.
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/01/20/chris...
The population is about a billion.

So Christianity is 10%

Bigger even than the Communist party which has 78 million. and much bigger than Islam at 1 to 2%

Interesting only 15% of China is actually atheist. I would have thought that number to be bigger since officially its an atheistic state.

You've created more arguments for unbelievers.

Eve sinned. Eve was taught by Adam. Adam is called "Adam, which was the son of God," at Luke 3:38. Adam sinned and faced the ultimate penalty-- death.

QUESTION: Does this mean that Adam was never "the son of God," really and to begin with?

Scriptures say, "Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

QUESTION: Does this mean that Adam was never "the son of God," really and to begin with?

In a few verses, Adam is accredited for bringing death upon mankind.

QUESTION: Does this mean that Adam was never "the son of God," really and to begin with?

Answer wisely.

I was more curious what the atheist lady had to say about this latest scientific discovery which would deliver a serious blow to the philosophy of Atheism.

I'm a Christian, so of course I believe the soul live on and will be judged one day by God to be damned for eternity of life forever with the Christ.

The writings was just for discussions sake par the Atheist or Secular Humanist.

I don't need to carry a martyr complex. It serves me no purpose.
People in religion have that covered pretty good.
Not all wars are about religion ~ ooops, invasion probably didn't enter your thoughts while you were busy knocking religion.... Wonder why I am not surprised!!

You have a complex ... you just aren't aware of it, but you make it felt; you are leaving your mark; you are leaving your finger print.

Sounds like you have enough either way to keep you going well into 10 years, but, does one ever retire from this kind of work? >>>Smile<<< Art, writing, mmmmmm

Such is war... my trigger to the 'nuclear waste' problem.
My Islands became a rubbish tip of anything not wanted when this war was over then... with a military 'base' a stones throw away.
Vines – weeds – try to choke the jungles to cover their tracks, and the seas turn their wrecks into play-grounds. And we/they still find warheads washed up which are alive today... 2013!
But the damage of that 'bomb' still goes on, and the world is now full of those...
I can see the good in medicine etc of the nukes, but effects killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000–80,000 in Nagasaki, …They... were the innocent

The rest since then?
All war is tragic!

I almost forgot... you neglected to answer my questions, based on the scriptures I quoted. Here they are again.

Matthew 24:24 says, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

QUESTION: Do you consider yourself one of the elect?

QUESTION: Do you believe the elect consists of every believer?

Answer wisely.

2Corinthians 11:13-15 says, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

QUESTION: Do you believe that no believer can be deceived?

Matthew 7:21-23 says, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

QUESTION: How did these that were never known by our anointed Savior perform such miraculous works?

Please and if you will, provide scriptural evidence.

I have written many times that I do not believe that those who say they have walked away from Christianity never really knew JESUS ~ if they knew JESUS, why would they walk away? Religion and JESUS don't necessarily go hand in hand, neither does the Congregation. I learned that when I was very young that not all those who go to Church have GODly thoughts in mind, but that did not take my Faith away in GOD at all ~ in fact, it made it stronger.:)

I am. I'm within firing range. The gov't here has built bunkers capable of maintaining the gov't of Japan in two different locations that I know of - and some of the subways also serve as nuclear bomb shelters (they're deep enough).
It's unlikely they'll attack. That would be suicidal. They'd get a shot off, that might not hit its target (their tech isn't accurate or predictable), and while the missile was launching the US would obliterate their remaining wmd-weapons capacity. That would subsequently result in an attack on South Korea, which would be messy on both sides, but the end result is that the NK gov't wouldn't survive and the peninsula would be, in large areas, rendered uninhabitable.
Tis not so much what N Korea is capable of as what they have in other capable hands "Iran for instance"
