Your two faced and multiple forked tongue hypocrisy knows no bounds Ms. Walker. You only side with this clown Mr. 42 because he's against me but you forget one thing, his utter disdain for your religion, and when I start ignoring him and his lack of proper ambition, he will get bored and turn on you. I see it too often in Topix. It's just a matter of time before you stand up for your religion and say something that offends him, and then he will verbally cleave you like a plump dog in a Chinese meat mart.
Counter_Strike: As it is written....
Actually, I have to disagree with you. I have been a Christian mostly all of my life. I was as you, trying to save everyone that I could, even if I had to beat my Bible upon their heads so to speak. Black Thunder and I met on Why I am No Longer A Christian. We argued for months continuously about God's Word as you and him . I found that when you beat an old dog, so to speak, he will eventually bite back. It really got bad, but fortunately we started being a little more civil, and I have found out that he is a good man, he is not homosexual, and neither is G_O_D but no one has actually took the time to get to know them, or anything about their lives...If you knew BT's life, you would be asking his forgiveness. He and G-O-D is searching for the truth, as most folks are in this world. They just choose their lives from the things they have read and studied, and they choose not to hit at homosexuals, that is their choice... I find that gossiping is the worst sin, "in my book" than any other besides blasphemy, the domino affect... But, as I said, that is my opinion, people judge what sin is more worse than the other. There is no where in the Bible that I have found that homosexuality is the worst. It is just the worst for some people. You see, Sodam and Gomorrah was not destroyed for only homosexuality, every sexual sin was going on in those cities, actually I believe every sin was going on. But we tell ourselves it was because of homosexuality. The Bible says the laying with man and man woman and woman, they are turned into a reprobate mind, that means away from God. But, that is how that is written, but when you read on and study, you find that all sin is you are away from God. Just because someone takes up for a homosexual doesn't make they're one, maybe they have friends or family that is one. That doesn't mean that they do, or do not condone it. I myself, have two sons, I could not imagine my sons telling me they were, but my love for them would not change. My heart would burst because I would know what hate and mockery they would have in their lives. As I have come to know Grace on the other site, she and I too bumped heads some. I realize she is for the underdog, that by my meaning anyone who she, might feel is being picked on. She is not an evil person, she has a big heart, and leaves none behind.....including ALL nonbelievers. We could all learn much from her, I think of the scripture of the 99 sheep, and the one who left the fold Jesus left the 99 to go after the one..... I will say, Black Thunder and G_O_D has a sense of humor, and unless you took the time to know them, you would understand how they deal with individuals who they feel are attacking them, or others. Many Christians are not able to deal with being outside the box, so to speak. Having a strong back when counter attacked as a Christian. Jesus met everyone as a friend, did he not? I am not getting on to you, please don't feel that way, I am talking to my self probably more than you. Just a little food for thought, we are all in this world, the same before God, he is no respecter of persons. Sometimes, from one Christian to another, it is best to let things go, and keep peace between Christians not to offend another. She loves God, and so do you and so do I......Black Thunder and G-O-D are searching for the truth. I am glad they are searching....and studying.

No, you did not - as you can read above. I was going to leave this alone, but in catching up today I see that the discussion is still ongoing.
So let me ask it again:
What if we discover that ones sexuality, is as changeable as ones skin color....what then?
You're dealing in "what if's" and hypotheticals, If that person was meant to be anything other than what God intended for them to be than they would have been born as that, a man or a women, you can have a sex change from a man into a woman and vice versa but you are still what God intended for you to be and you will be judged by him as such.

You stated that gays have the same rights that you have.

Do you have the right to marry the person that you love? Does a gay person have the right to marry the person that he/she loves.

I guess we would have to consider the implications at that time

But is there any reason you have to think that would be the case?

You know I like you NS so this isn't asked in a challenging way but did you ever decide to be "straight"? Did you weigh the pros and cons, look at what your friends were doing, decide what would be the best societal move for you and then decided you would be straight or did one day you simply realize you were attracted to the opposite sex?

And if the latter, why would you think it is different for those attracted to the same sex?

I am simply curious

<quoted text>I'm not even sure they are going to win the marriage fight either.
There is a country in europe that I was absolutely shocked to see came out in in mass demonstration against gay marriage. That country is france. One of the most liberal countries in the world.
Me being country guy fox watching person, I thought for sure gay marriage was readily accepted in europe. Seeing what happened in france. I could be wrong.
What gays do not seem to understand is that they may get laws to protect them and get their civil rights, but no law can govern disgust and hate.
And with black people, white folks have mostly realized that these people are just as smart as any white person. plus black people excel in sports and music and we like watching them because they are the best. There is still animosity, but for the most part the reason blacks were hated have been proven wrong.
I don't think what happen with blacks will happen with homosexuals. Because we know the main reason behind a homosexual wanting their rights is men to have anal sex and women wanting to have sex with each other.
Homosexuals will never be accepted as blacks are because of some civil right. And what is likely to happen is that there will be a terrible backlash against homosexuals. some of it violent, some will be people shaming them and scorning them.
Accepting a person based on the content of their character, and accepting a person because they want to do unnatural sexual acts are different things.
eh?

some interesting points I not consider writer.

I think they will succeed with the worldwide gay marriage agenda though. no much can be dome about that, because I see gay marriage like legalize marijuana. is a worldwide thing. some parts of europe already do it, parts of the u.s now legalize drug use. so I think is only a matter of time before gay marriage legalize worldwide. because the world more liberal, more secular, and more sensual. Pleasure is a big deal to the world. so I think two pleasures drug legalization and gay marriage will become more mainstream as far as laws.

But you point about backlash is very interesting. I never thought of that, but the way you put it, you may have a point. because what you say about the reasons whites accept blacks is one thing. people won't accept homosexuality for the same reasons they accept blacks.

that deep thought writer. something for me to think about. excellent point on your part.

We are both passionate about this subject and others...we wear our hearts on our sleeves and do not mind others seeing that.

You know Lele...I bare my soul here at times...I wish I didn't have to...I wish that there was no reason to.

One of the things that I like about you...

You stand up for what you believe to be right knowing that there will be those that condemn you and question your beliefs.

There are some of you that take stances that are not very popular amongst your peers...I admire the courage that must take.

<quoted text>Yes... Jesus did mention homosexuality in his own language and the word 'porneia" is all inclusive. You probaly already know this as I have stated it before on here or perhaps you already knew... but English is a very new language when compared to the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic so that is what I meant by the language conflict in my previous post.. we usually think about it a western civilization sense when that culture was different.
Porneia some believe has been mistranslated and was referring to homosexual prostitutes as was common in that culture. Others say it means all sexual immorality. Jesus never directly addressed the subject. Whether that has any implications i don't know. I do know that all sins of the flesh are equal though.

Do you agree your sins in the eyes of God are no better than the sin of homosexuality?

I would very much like an answer to this. And don't take this the wrong way as I have no reason to think you wouldn't be honest but rather i am suggesting just to really think about it before answering because I think sometimes it requires some soul-searching for each individual. It may not for you, I don't know. Just saying give it some serious consideration before answering

Bonsoir Madame, we have been to all of these places. Ironically, the Frenchness within me is cultural and not ethnic my father is Senegalse/Egyptian and my mother is Greek although according to her family history she is also of partial Turkish ancestry. Kansas was a mecca for Jazz starting with Charlie "Bird" Parker. A native son, we appreciate Jazz as well but our preference is in Classical music and Opera as well as Ballet (Which my sister also studied). In regards to your inadequecy it is not so, an inadequate person to me is one who is deviod of compassion and love for their fellow human beings and animals as well. The languages came naturally to us due to our multi-ethnic families. Seraphine is fluent in Bosnian I am not, however I speak Serbian, she does not. The differences between us balance themselves out well. I also compose and play Classical guitar. I need the music as does she it is our lifeblood and we are descended from musical families. It is an honor and a priviledge to coorespond with you as well. Seraphine and I are looking foward to learning more about you. In regards to this topic I believe Jesus loved all of humanity equally and died for all people irregardless of sexual orientation or anything of the like, some may find our liberal ideals offensive particularly the more conservative Christians but as we are taught judge not lest ye be judged and for whatsoever you measure it shall be measured back to you. It is only human beings who distort His message to suit their stylized bigotry.
Thank you for your kind words... A little about myself, I lead the song service at my church, at least I did until I fell on the ice. They are waiting upon my healing to return, to my position. I believe I love all types of music. I literally stand in an awe watching others play any instrument that I can not tackle. LOL I love to listen to Classical, Jazz and the Blues, when I want to relax. But, I will tell you I love to listen to Bluegrass also. Many do not like it, and it is one that I find fading away, but I love to go to their Bluegrass Festivals and stay for days just to watch them play their instruments. I found that many of those artists could not read any music, but if the heard it, they could play it and not miss a note. I find that so fascinating. Have you ever composed any Christian songs? So long for now, have a wonderful day.
