<quoted text>Ditto Lawest100, I am adding my Happy Birthday wishes for Drew to yours and everyone else's :)
This morning is one of those reflective, GOD mornings; one where I revel in memories instilled with love. In other words, I am 'tripping down memory lane' and have the luxury of time on my side.
Thinking of writing of my Step father; and the message I received from him when he had passed to his new realm. I have since heard of him too ~ but then again, when one seeks those who 'feel' Angels, or Souls of our beloved, one expects to receive these messages.
'Tis usually only those that have strong Spiritual depth (for one way of putting it and not a slur against those who don't) that seek the Spiritual..
My understanding comprehends those who have these feelings, as I know from personal (and many) experiences that we do have links with the Spiritual Realm, and I find it hard to consider that there are some who do not have these links and experiences.
I am not talking about GOD, or JESUS, I am talking about our own loved ones; how does one live a lifetime without connection to them?
Now, I am talking about GOD and JESUS ~ how can one not heed their messages? Like caterpillars in the making..... we are nourishing our vessels in preparation of moving into the next Realm ~ one where our bodies are useless but our Soul is vital? We are taking with us that which we have etched into our DNA, our game plan, and it is this game plan that we will be presenting to our Heavenly Father.
***Some people are born a success, scientists believe.
Research shows that much of our predisposition towards determination, sociability and self-control and sense of purpose is in our genes.
In fact, our DNA plays a bigger role in influencing these traits than our upbringing and the company we keep.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/articl... ***
Could it possibly be that some do not have GOD in their DNA? Is this why there is dead thought instead? Is this perhaps why some can think death simply means shutting everything down and others cannot comprehend that thought at all?
Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank you for this day and for the instruction you provide through your Word. Please help me to always have a soft answer to turn away wrath, not harsh words that stir up anger; help me to use knowledge rightly, not to speak foolishness. I pray that my tongue would build up others as a tree of life giving shade and shelter and never speak perverseness that would break the spirit. Let me always receive your instruction and correction with an ear to hear, a mind to accept, and a heart that is humble.(Based on Proverbs 15:1.) I thank you and offer this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Prime Time with God
Amen.

Hello Tri,
I did Google it , here's from the 'Urban Dictionary':
The phenomenon of internet predators that fabricate online identities and entire social circles to trick people into emotional/romantic relationships (over a long period of time).
Possible motivations: revenge, loneliness, curiosity, boredom
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php...
Thanks for that heads up on the term, didn't know there was one for such behaviour.
I have suspicions Topix is replete with such. I've known of a whole thread started and occupied by a single person posing as a dozen other profiles, and convincing many each was an individual.
Those with delusions of grandeur and super-sized egos seem to reign supreme on Topix. It's become a lark for most, a way to blow steam for others. Substance is lacking. I liken it to what graffiti artists call a 'toy', a quickly scrawled or sprayed word that is generally cheesy, has no real impact(statement).
You have a good night.
The term catfishing was inspired by the 2010 documentary "Catfish."
yes topix is loaded with people like that as you say.

the thing I notice about this billboard especially when it comes to Christians, is that they come on the billboard, and they actually use the writers on here to measure they holiness. is like they insecure about they life with Jesus, so they come on this billboard and when they see another christian that they no like what they write they say to themselves [at least I not as bad as that christian writer]and then they go place a good little christian badge on they chest. me laughing!

as you say is mostly delusions of grandeur.

although that what you say about one person posing as 12 people on one website??!! iyai!!, that scary thing. That person not living in reality. if you go through all that throuble to deceive people with multiple personalities, for one thing that is a lot of work to imitate 12 people, plus the amount of time it take. that person must be crazy when they not on the internet

But on a serious note, these things about CATFISHING- revenge, loneliness, curiosity, boredom. then is some really powerful emotions. powerful enough that some people totally give up they life behind the billboard.

I find myself careful though. I have a wife and children that if I spending too much time online they cuss me out LOL.

But it becoming a bad bad problem. And I think it will be a whole new area of psychological studies in the universities of the internet being another existence and what happen to people brain when they lose themselves in that existence.

He was not saying this to the sinners, he was saying it to the churches/Christians.
Good Morning Mrs. K. Thank you for reaching out? Well <<<sigh>>> Out of a flash of Christian anger you've misread my post because I never said non-christians were lukewarm christians. You're free to read again at a calmer pace if you wish.. if not, no prob. Nevertheless, you help to expound on what Jesus says about lukewarm Christians and that is appreciated.

Actually the link to overcome porn obsession was meant as a help for those interested but more specifically it was directed toward Christians as the speaker is mostly talking to Christians who struggle in that area. If they want to open it and view it anonymously than they can. If you have a problem with that, so noted. It's going to be a Rocky Road for you and I because I've been doing the same thing for years on Topix. Just remember that I'm not one of your incarcerated inmates in the past that you can censor and control. Actually, I can be excommunicated and I'm expecting that some day but other than that you can try to win some brownie points with the nons, you can disapprove, disagree, fret, fuss, growl, slip, have a tantrum or continue to bellyache like a yellowbelly... but to no avail. Not with THAT attitude anyways.

Actually, I based my statement on "not caring what the non-christians do because they do not adhere to Christ" (paraphrasing) based on I Corinthians 5:9-11. You read your own Bible and I'll read mine.

Thanks Skombolis

The problem with u's folks, you spend so much time saying what you believe never the exhibition of your belief.

"To each his own"?...then why speak inclusive?
Can you be a christian without saying you're a christian?

Why isn't there unity within christianity,...big problem don't you think?

They don't merely believe that. They teach that doctrine. And the consequence are both devastating and predictable. My cousin's two children aren't speaking because he's gay and she's born again. She doesn't approve of her brother's life. I don't approve of her church teaching her that.
I understand this first hand...my empathy goes out to your cousin...her pain...suffering...not being able to do anything about it...feeling the need to try.

I hope for her that the outcome is different than it has been for me. Sometimes though you have to make choices that you don't want to make. Choices that break your heart...choices that you had hoped you would never have to make.

As a mother who understands...my heart goes out to your cousin.

So what does "hell" mean. Eternal fire and torture, or merely "separation" from God, or just annihilation. You see to me its a big Q, as I figure, if xians are right, myself, my wife, and pretty much all my friends and family and everyone I know will go there.
There are varying opinions about hell, the lake of fire and such. I believe you already know my views and I don't agree with some of my other brethren views on this area. I'll just give you what I believe concerning the Lake of Fire which will be meant for those who opposed Christ whether Christian or Non. I say Christian because oftentimes "Christian" is used as a title rather than a way of living:

1. "He who has an ear, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death." Revelations 2:11 (It's not just referring to the beast and the false prophet that will be cast into the lake of fire)

2. The 2nd death is the lake of fire.

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14

3. "Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over THEM,"

Here again, the word "them" is not talking about the beast and false prophet but also refering to human beings.

* Let me say again as I have said in time's past... that it is not God's Will that any should go to this horrible place but come to repentance through Christ so that you and they might be saved.

I think that I too misread your intent.

While I was doing searches about how the states dealt with social issues I ran across the pornography stats. There are many churches that are now recognizing the problem and are making attempts to address it.

There was one site the I read that I thought did a great job in putting it out there but sadly I didn't bookmark it.

It addressed one issue though that I specifically remember...one that I hadn't really thought about.

Not only does the Christian have to deal with the addiction to porn...they also have to deal with feeling that they are committing the sin. It went in to depth on that issue...it was good reading.

Mike...you remind me of my son when he was small. One morning while taking him to school he asked me can a bird fly as fast as a car can go. I gave him my best answer.

The next morning he asked the same question...so I tried again to answer him. This went on for a week...I finally knew that I was not giving him the answer that he wanted.

So...I asked him to give me the answer that he wanted to hear.

He did...I said okay...he never asked me the question again.
