You just want to twist you brain into thinking all Christians have more against homosexuality than other sins. That might be some christians, but not me. Homosexuality just as immoral as drug use, fornication lying stealing adultery etc etc.

And they should have full rights like any other citizens. But what homosexuals want is their lifestyle viewed as normal. Brother Lee Love wrote:
<quoted text>You're right. He wasn't.
You see, what a lot of people don't know is that there's been an ongoing, internal argument, since the conception of the Roman Catholic religion, as to who that actual so-called "successor" of Peter was. Some say Linus. Others say Clement I. Now, here's one interesting point. Both names, "Linus" and "Clement," appear in the bible. So, it's no wonder, to me, that these would be the men that they argue about. The supposed third "pope's" name doesn't appear in the bible, so nobody argues about him. His name was Anacletus. But, in the so-called "official" list of "popes," which is even disagreed upon within the Roman Catholic hierarchy, Linus is believed to be Peter's successor. Then, Anacletus. Then, Clement I.
The greatest opposition the Roman Catholic religion has is the Greek Orthodox religion. Some might say that the Greek Orthodox has been around from even before the Roman Catholic religion's conception. The Greek orthodox has been keeping records, too. And it's the Greek Orthodox that began the argument, contending that Linus wasn't Peter's successor, after all. And because of the Romans Catholic religion's interest in political affairs including wickedness that, even then, the Roman Catholic religion was being accused of, some might say that the Greek Orthodox religion was the first to disassociate themselves from the Roman Catholic religion. This disassociation has been the cause of many "wars" between the two.
It's the Greek Orthodox religion that also exposes that the first official "pope" of the Roman Catholic religion is, actually, Sylvester I. Sylvester I was the man that was appointed leader of the newly-founded religion during the council at Nicaea. It's also the Greek Orthodox religion that made it known that the title "pope" wasn't used before 304 AD, by Marcellinus. In the meantime, many don't realize that according to Christendom history, there's always been two "popes." One "pope," which the world recognizes, is the so-called "bishop of Rome," while the other and according to "Eastern Christianity," is the so-called "bishop of Alexandria."
My question is this: If the Israelite priesthood lost the kingdom of "God" due to unrighteousness, then why shouldn't we believe the same happened to the Roman Catholic religion considering her tumultuous history? I mean, if anything, wouldn't this explain the conception of the so-called "Reformation" and "Protestant" movement?
Sylvester huh? I didn't know that was record in the first council. Interesting.
I think that was the reason for moving the ruling center to the western capital. Much easier for the theocracy to "reforge" the history and maintain absolute control of a fledgling empire through combining both religion and government. I also believe it is the cause of errant doctrine which causes so much discourse among those trying desperately to justify those forgeries which were imposed by a less than honest organization of aristocrats upon an entire society under threat of torture and death for hundreds of years.
The history and methods alone should cause one to inspect the viability and purpose of the organization that perpetrated such atrocities in society.

Jesus follower Skombolis even if he thought homosexuality is moral won't say it on here. That is not bullying, that common sense. What real Jesus follower can ever think Jesus would think man to man or woman to woman is ok when the book God use people to write God own views clearly state it is not ok?

The civil laws are based on the 10 commandments.

*
Show me where in the civil laws of the US is homosexuality a crime.

The Ten Commandments

1. You shall have no other gods before me.

Where do our civil laws prohibit NOT worshiping the Christian god?

2. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

I am not aware of it being a civil law that we can not have whatever image that we want or don't want.

3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

Is there a civil law that says it is a crime for someone to take the Lord's name in vain?

4. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

No civil law that requires us to keep any day of the week holy.

5.Honor your father and your mother,

Now a days it is legal in some cases for children to divorce their parents. There are no civil laws that demand us to love our parents.

6. You shall not murder.

Okay...here is one that is not only a commandment but a civil law.

7. You shall not commit adultery.

Nope...they won't throw you in jail for this one either.

8. You shall not steal.

Okay...you are up to two that are both commandments and civil law.

9. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

As far as I know...it is only against civil law to lie when it applies to legal matters. I think Catcher is a lawyer so he might can elaborate. I will tell you though...

If I tell you that you are just really cute and I lied about it...I broke a commandment...but I broke no civil law...they ain't comin' after me.

So...I will give you a 1/4 point on this one. You're up to 2 1/4.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

This one is about jealousy...not a civil crime. You can want all day long until you turn green and they won't arrest you.

So out of 10 commandments only 2 1/4 have any similarities to our civil laws...yet you think our laws are based off of those 10 commandments.

GOD needs ta step out of the closet so the bicker'n o' biddies can end.
It is up to each of us to see it the way we believe GOD will be seeing it ~ some things just do not add up;

Thou shalt not kill....

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart....

These are the messages and Statutes we have received from GOD and there is indeed conflict between word and word. It is my honest opinion that this is why GOD & JESUS decided, between them, that a human being sent by GOD was needed, a Son of GOD, one that has never been before nor been since.

Let the Angels win the wars and let man(kind) put down their weapons of destruction, sit back and enjoy life as it is to be enjoyed.... IMHO :)

<quoted text>Are we going to distribute levels, now, to willful sin in order to determine what's turning our backs on "God" and what's not? Adam and Eve were warned that if they turned their backs on "God," that they would die. And guess what? They did.
If I choose to commit adultery while knowing that such behavior is prohibited by "God," then even if but for a moment, I turned my back on "God." I believe it's even worse if I choose to commit such a heinous act with the intention of asking for forgiveness afterward, believing that I'm guaranteed salvation.
It's written, "The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?"
It's also written, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."
And finally, it's written, "For the wages of sin is death."
You seem, to me Serah, to be a sensitive soul. And I can appreciate that. But, regardless of how sensitive we might be, our sensitivity isn't going to change "God."
I am going to agree with you as in fact, our sensitivity will never change GOD, but I am surely hoping that HIS will change mine :)

<quoted text>Luke 18:11-12
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
I don't mean to be argumentative, but I find it difficult accepting Eve's comment as anything that validates your assertion. If anything, Eve's comment only proves that she still believed in "God" and still trusted that all that occurs occurs only because it was allowed by "God." And why wouldn't she? Such thoughts, beliefs, and glorification, though, was quite common among the Israelites. Case in point...
When we read the story of Job, we read of Job saying, "..the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away." He said this because just prior to his saying this, he had just lost almost everything. It's written, "And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."
Now, if we read what's recorded before this, we read of the conversation between "God" and Satan. And at the end of this discussion, we read: "Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD."
Examine these things, Serah. As we can see, Job accredited the most High for the disasters that took place and for what he had lost. But, as we can see, the most High only allowed for Job to lose what he did. It was actually Satan that took everything from Job and not the most High, after all.
In the end, Adam and Eve did, indeed, die. And as it's written, the wage for sin is death. I'm not saying Eve didn't repent, but to die, she had to have turned her back on "God" in order to be punished so severely.
JOB is my favorite Chapter; it appears many times that the circumstances of life have been similar, and indeed I understand it is the adversary who interferes. I have made mistakes in my life, BLL; when I was young I stole make up ~ but I did not turn my back on GOD, although I allowed being human to intervene.

The conscious that drove me nuts (and still does even though it is over 40 years ago as such) was GOD. I also understand Repent as in my interpretation of it; each time I recall one of those circumstances I Pray for forgiveness, and the times I recall them are few and fart between, these days. I do not wrack myself with guilt, in other words, but I surely don't make those old mistakes, as I have learned through experience and experiences.

At the time I faltered, I needed HIM most :)
