Nonsense. The reason you and the rest of the "other-kind" in here don't like this doctrine of destruction of sin is that you all know you're in the wrong, so you hate the truth and love a lie. Since you don't want to change, you decide to hate the doctrine of salvation and the destruction of sin. You don't want to part ways with evil thoughts and deeds, you very well have a choice to cling to them.
You're very quick to demean those who disagree with you. It would be easy to make up a similar narrative about your motivations based on presumed character flaws as well.
Have I mentioned how much I despise your church for teaching you to think like that? You make our lives more difficult and more dangerous because of it. You have no right. I'm pretty sure that you couldn't care less.
Your philosophy is not respectable, and there is nothing appealing about it.
Now it's my turn to discuss you and your decadent character. You are a coward.
Try standing up like the bipedal ape you were born to be, and look out into the universe, which may be almost empty, and which may contain no gods at all. Then face and accept the very real possibility that we may be all there is for light years.
Accept that you may be vulnerable and not watched over.
Accept the likelihood of your own mortality and finititude.
Accept the reality of your insignificance everywhere but earth, and that you might be unloved except by those who know you - people, and maybe a few animals.
Because as far as we know, that's how it is.
It's more difficult at first than the comforting swaddling of religion, but be brave! Religion's comfort comes at a great price. It's infantilizing, and costs you your only shot at a mature, authentic, self-actualized existence.
