You know I didn't actually go to medical school,RIGHT??:) But I AM a REAL 'Doctor'. I'm a 'doctor' for the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'm going to use the internet to tell as many people about Him as I can before I leave this world, because I know when my 'work' is done here,I'll never be able to come back and tell anyone else about what the Saviour did for ME,YOU,and the entire human race at the Holy Cross of Calvary. Ya' know what I mean?? Have a good day,Epi. Bye!

Aaaaand here we go again. Grace Walker claiming someone cant understand the grace gospel unless God open their eyes! And this from one of the most scriprtually ignorant people I have ever run across that literally just ignored dozens upon dozens of verses that contradict her. If you dont know the Bible well enought o debate it and if you arent even capable of giving so much as an interpretation then maybe Grace you ought to stop telling other people that it is you that has the truth from God while anyone who believes different is blind. And if anyone wants to pretend it isnt these kind of statements made day after day that is the problem then they need a good long stare in the mirror because regardless of what you believe..this is what the problem is
Another spot on post Skom, I too could respect her argument a little better IF she would at least attempt to address many of the scriptures aimed at her, but she disavows those scriptures that doesn't fit into her self made doctrine and have made many off key remarks that do not jive with the written Word.

Peace.

You know,I never met the man,I never talked to him on the phone, but there was just something about him on the radio that caused me to gravitate towards his radio broadcasts. I've always liked going to small churches in little towns out in the country, and listening to J.Vernon McGee on the radio always gave me that feeling like I was in the pews at some little small church out in the country. I don't want to say he had that 'ol country boy' sound about him, because I'm not sure what it was. All I know is that I really enjoyed listening to him,and to this day,I STILL listen to him on the radio.

<quoted text>It makes sense people that tell others their beliefs are of the devil and call other people blind while refusing to interpret scripture would stick together. She actually started saying that when you did John. Dont you think its about time to go a different route? Your beliefs couldnt be more different than everybody in here when it comes to Jesus yet you still are first in line to tell people their beliefs are of the devil. And what people see as a pattern is your hypocritical defense of anyone who sides with your beliefs because you were sure in true form when you were being told your beliefs were of the devil. Get honest with yourself John and for God's sake I dont know how old you are but grow up when it comes to talking about scripture. She followed your lead on the whole "of the devil" nonsense. You want to know where the division starts? Look in the mirror. Trust me, others can see that
Skom..........I hope that you and others don't believe that I am responding to your posts because I am seeking an ally or trying to escalate a disagreement but I say this from honest conviction that I truly believe you to be the most honest person posting here on this thread, you don't play favorites and may God richly Bless you for that.

Set Boundaries (2)
Ex 20:4-6, Deut 7:17-8:2, Is 40:18-31, Col 3:5-10
'...Its parts should have equal concern for each other.' 1 Corinthians 12:25

When you buy a house, you need clearly marked boundary lines to let you know what's yours and what's not. Good boundaries make good neighbours. The Bible says,'Seldom set foot in your neighbour's house--too much of you, and you will be hated.'(Proverbs 25:17) So, how close is too close? Let's look at three kinds of boundaries we establish between ourselves and others. Rigid boundaries. These are designed to keep others at arms' length and protect our private, self-absorbed world. Without saying a word, your attitude says:'Keep out, trespassers will be prosecuted!' Why do we create such boundaries? Fear! We fear being known, controlled, hurt, or feeling inadequate and inferior. And our rigidity prevents intimacy. Our unwillingness to be vulnerable or to compromise leaves us defensive, isolated and lonely. Closeness and intimacy are things we long for, yet fear and avoid. We think,'You can't hurt me if I keep you at a safe distance.' But it doesn't work. God designed us to share life's victories and defeats, not to live in isolation. We are to'...have equal concern for each other. If one part [person] suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.'(1 Corinthians 12:25-26) Rigid boundaries rob you of life-enriching relationships.'So what's the answer?' you ask. Reach out! Your were created to give to others, and to receive what they have to give back to you. In giving you are fulfilled, and in receiving you are made complete. Anything less is just existing.
The Word for Today
**********
Easier said than done, for me anyway. I went from having no boundaries and getting hurt a lot. To having rigid boundaries and hurting myself.
Something for me to think about.

Hummm,Below zero and huge flakes of snow falling from the sky.
God lays that snow all over the earth much like a king size blanket on earths bed.It hangs itself to everything tops of houses, trees, scrubs, fenses.Cri tter prints in the snow show small foot prints of time and place where they scampered to hide away.
Then it freezes like a ice cube as if suppended in time.God bless.

I live up high in the moutains here,it is little over six thousand feet above sea level.Today the high will be in the 20's.My dad used to take me outside when it would snow and take off my shoes and let me walk in the snow barefooted. That how it started as was a small tike of about three at the time and I been doin it every since. The old timers here beleived if you walked in the snow barefooted you stay well all winter.Might be something to that and may not only God knows. But can tell you I never get sick for some reaon. Here is another one that know for sure always happens. When you go outside at night and look at the moon and a large ring is around it then you shall know a storm is in the makings.

When the snow falls and clings to everything and it is cold large icecyles cling to the eves of the roof of the house. The mail box on the post standing in the yard has a small hump of snow too.I often think of it as God come to visit and make his present known.
Almost as if to say never forget me I am your creator.God bless.

<quoted text>And now, we have certain individuals suggesting that Grace Walker just ignore us, as she's not obligated to answer to any of us. And as true as this is, I would think she'd be more than willing to share any and everything with us, as such boldness would surely give glory to "God!" But, most likely, she'll listen to him.
I think I'll take a stroll through the "Dave and Gary Show" for a little while, to see if at any time, certain contributors expected an answer from any one of Harold Camping's disciples.
BLL... don't be downcast. RA had come from the Way International cult so it's not totally his fault. This cult believed in a strict practice called "mark, purge and avoid..." (hence the ignore advice)... so that's what this particular cult does and is infamous for. I don't believe he is in that particular cult any longer, I believe some views have changed but there are still some traces of loyalty and affinity to it. Here is some info on the matter.

Regarding the study on Revelation 2 regarding the church at Ephesus is that one could go too far with "works" and forget the "first works". The very first of the first works is to love God WITH ALL YOUR HEART.... then it goes on to say with all your soul, then mind and the last of it is "with all your strength" Mark 12:30. It seems like they were focusing too much on the last part (the strength) when they should of been focused on the first parts... heart and soul and then the rest of it.

Jesus: "For where your treasure is, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO." Mt 6:21

So rather than treasuring God in their hearts, they were treasuring God with their deeds.

----------

And the pendulum could swing to the other extreme also when it comes to just a message of Grace... as such was the case with the Nicolatians. They felt like they were already saved so they could do whatever they liked. So that is what they did. Now though Jesus rebuked the church at Ephesus for leaving their first love... He gave them credit for hating "the deeds" of the Nicolatians. Look at what Jesus said:

Jesus (to Ephesus): "But you have this in your favor - You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate."

Though the term "antinomianism" was coined much later, in deed, this is what they believed in. It was just a message of salvation through grace and faith alone. A lot of the antinomianists (which I was one myself) quote Ephesians 2:8,9 often but they forsake to go further into verses 10 and 11 of the same chapter where Paul refers to "good works'. And James complete the circle also by saying that Faith without works is dead. Just like the body without the spirit is dead. They go hand in hand.

So again, works only is one extreme and is wrong... but it seems to be more preferable than the other extreme message of Grace only. There has to be a balance of both.

Okay, done with Ephesus... good lessons for me. Moving on to Smyrna. Jesus is Lord.

:)
