Thx Hu. I appreciate u letting me go on for a bit and hope it did not come off as lecturing as Lord knows I am in no position to lecture anybody. And including the personal stuff wasnt intended to make it hard for someone to say how they feel cause I have personalized it. I guess just cause I have gone thru it I just cant help but to feel strongly about it. And I get it man I really do. I bust my butt each day and I am not giving my money to someone looking to play me for a chump. I just wish there was an easier way to know who is sincere. I wish less people were in need. I wish more people were honest. I am tired of the parasites and I am tired of the exploiters. From the very bottom to the very top it seems there comes pressure that is crushing the middle class. Most people should be middle class imo. The American dream aint what it used to be. Anyway, Peace brother and thx again

The decision to allow a transgender 45-year-old college student who identifies as a woman but has male genitalia to use the women’s locker room has raised a fracas among parents and faith-based organizations, who say children as young as 6 years old use the locker room.

The locker room at Evergreen College in Olympia, Wash., is shared with the Capital High School swim club and a children’s swim academy, along with the students at Evergreen.

A vote for Obama ...

When I was out of work in 2009 I did a few odd jobs. One was I drove an airport van. Here you lived on tips and the money was not good. One day I was working and had a bad run, the guy paid his bill but gave no tip and I was in a bad mood. The next thing I know a homeless dude comes to me and ask for some money. Sorry pal. In those days I couldn't pay my own bills and was doing all I could and had no money to spare. In the past during good times I've helped but what hit me was this guy was mad at me! Really?! I agree its too bad you don't know who is real or not but I can tell you this guy looked to be in good shape to me. Why wasn't he working 13 hr days to do something? God bless.

It is part of the plan friend. Even some so called Christian churches are in on it. Right here in Clearwater is a church where they won't spend much time on the gospel of Jesus Christ but will shove progressive teachings as the day is long. God is good and thankful He has the final word.

Things used to be a little easier to distinguish before the economy tanked. I know for my buddy all the jobs minimum wage or slightly better he was considered overqualified and too old and any job paying like even $12-$15 and higher per hour there was just hundreds of ppl going for the same job. He finally got a commission only job and has been struggling since. He played by the rules and still got screwed.I remember when I was out of work my brother gave $30 to go downtown with some friends to get dinner. I dont drink so I knew i had a few extra bucks and gave a panhandler $2 and he looked at it and said "that's it?". I started to go off on him to give it back then as i was barely ahead of being on the corner myself and then he was like "oh its good" But I wanted to punch him. And its ppl like that who ruin for ppl who played by the rules and need a hand. God Bless brother

Well the article said it was a state law not a federal law they going by. I can say for one liberal anyway being progressived isnt synonymous with wanting pre-op trans-sexuals in lockerrooms with children. But politics aside..how in the world does a law say a guy who still has male genitalia should be considered female? By that logic any guy could put a wig on and demand to be allowed in a women's locker-room. They need to change the law. If my nieces were 6 when that happened that guy would be on post-op life-support.

Yep. Its ugly and has been for some time. In fact just before I was let go (2009) and was working in Ca. one Sunday morning I was in San Diego. San Diego has a huge homeless problem. Most of accounts I went to was rooftop work and the access was in the back. Just about every stop had someone living in the back. Sad. This one Sunday I got some food and shared it with 2 people that were there. They started fighting over it! It breaks my heart.

I hear ya. Personally I think in part because the problems seem so overwhelming these days it can almost be discouarging in and of itself. It is like trying to blot up the ocean with a roll of paper towel.. It is why the burnout rate is so high in social work professions. That must have been a sad thing to see. But you gave some hungry people some food to eat..Jesus will remind us of this (Matthew 25:38-46..going from memory). Imagine if everybody just did something as simple as that? What a world it could be.(T) PEACE

Today's Prayer

Dear God, There is nothing like the feeling of being loved! You created us to love and be loved...and I thank you for all the love you have given me and shown me throughout all my days. Thank you for all the special touches and blessings that let me know you care about even the smallest details of my life and that you love me no matter what. Thank you for friends who are there for me...and that I can be there for...through the seasons of life. Thank you for the love of parents and children and extended family. I am grateful for the love in my life. I pray that every person will experience love...especially your unending, far-reaching, peace-bringing, merciful and unconditional love. I love you. In the name of Jesus I pray and offer my whole-hearted love and thankfulness. Amen.

Prime Time with God

I have learned not to carry any money because I was going broke fast. I live on a very tight budget and there is not a lot left over at the end of the month.

Last week a woman stuck her cup out at me and asked for money...happens all the time around here. If I take my walk through the market and then downtown I will be asked 4 or 5 times before I get back home.

I had my debit card with me and we were standing close to a Subway shop and I thought that I could feed her for 6-7 dollars...you know...6 inch sub/chips/drink. I took her in and told her to order her sandwhich...she did. The most expensive 12 inch that they sold and the largest drink that they had. Before I got out of there I had spent 13 dollars! More than I would have ever spent on my own lunch.

I was so disappointed that she took advantage. I tried to do something kind for her and...well...I was upset with her...then I became upset with myself. I knew...it wasn't about what she did...it was however all about that I wanted to help someone else. I just need to be a little smarter about how I do it!

I read most of the conversations that have gone on here about people on government assistance. I chose not to respond while it was so heated. I did do some research though.

During the campaign the figure got thrown about that around 49% of Americans were on some type of assistance. I was shocked...until I read further. That figure included people on Social Security...Medicare...etc. When you back those people out the figure was closer to 33%. Still too high but IMO more accurate.

I guess that we have to ask ourselves...does the solution lie with the government...with us as individuals...or a combination of the two.

Saturday as I came home from my walk I passed by an private agency that feeds those in need. There were literally hundreds of people wrapped around the block...some homeless...some just in need. I don't know what was going on that day because normally they are not open on weekends. I had a few spare minutes that I could have helped but this agency screens it's volunteers making it impossible to just drop in to help.

This same agency (funded totally by donations) also acts as an employment agency for the homeless. If you need someone to do some odd job for you such as yard work...help with moving...cleaning...you can call and they will send one of their clients out. They not only screen volunteers but also their clients that are on this work program.

I mention this agency because it is not federally funded.

Okay...I had more to say...you know me...never at a loss for words...but I am almost out of that 4000 character allotment! I am sure that you understand! LOL Maybe that is a sign that...I have said enough...

Just to let you know BTJ, I've been married 20 years so far so I do know what that is like... and you can tell me all you want that "20 years mariage doesn't cause any divisions or hates to each other" all you want but no matter how long one is married, if one doesn't stay up on that marriage, maintain it and complement one another's needs then that marriage could desolve even if they were married 37 years.

If you don't accept tolls then I'll just give alms:
