I can't believe how ignorant some people can be.Unless you have and live with a child in day to day life who have adhd, you have no idea what you are talking about.I am a responsible parent who has looked into every possible avenue and as a last resort given my son medication after researching. He is being closely monitored and he is a much happier boy, slowly getting his self asteem back.So again,I say if you have not dealt with this you HAVE NO SAY!!!!!!
I'm not heartless.

Just to prove it, I'll help you cure your Young'un.

*Don't worry so much about his self-esteem.
*Just turn off all the electricity in his room.
*Sit with him for 2 hours every night at the kitchen table and help him with homework.
*No TV -ever
*No Computer -except with you - doing schoolwork
*No IPOD, etc.
*No cell-phone
*Fireplace OK
*Don't spare the rod.
* Most important: STOP FEEDING HIM CRAP. Read labels. If it has more than six ingrediants, or any with chemical names, throw it out and make it yourself.

Hint: when is the last time he had a soda-pop?

You're welcome

I do agree with Michelle. My daughter does have ADD, I would like to know more about the meds. It scares the hell out of me to think that some could be deadly. She does have low-self asteem & is a very angry child. I could use some good advice.
Hi there, yes it is a scarey thought giving your children this type of medication, especially when you hear some of the horror stories. My son is 7 and I started seeing problems from as early as 2 but at the time put it down to those terrible 2 ages.ADHD is a neurological problem as I eventually found out and had the same problems as any other child but to a much larger extent. He wouldn't take turns, not share, constantly argue, you could not reason with him, would burst into tears over the silliest things and over a four year period,he gradually became more hyperactive, aggressive, impulsi ve, violent and did what he wanted to do.On the bright side he is extremely bright, his maths and reading is at the same age rate of his 10 year old brother.

Anyway, hes taken many different herbal remedies, seen a pshycologist, iridolgist, naturo path, behavioural therapy, diet change and nothing worked. As his main problem was at school, the last straw being when he destroyed the classroom and through a chair hitting a child,I took him to the Sydney Developmental clinic. They did a number of tests

1.Initial assessment with a developmental pediatrican
2.phsycological assessment
3.edu cational assessment
4.brain scan(harmless)
5.if needed a medication response test

After everything was done with the brain scan taken into a large consideration, pointed to adhd.

After the medication response test he had responded to the ritalin. He only takes it on school days and has 3/4 tablet after breakfast and thats it.We were told of the side affects and basically the more serious ones were if you abused the drug. He's been on it for 3 weeks and still has a good appetite, sleeps well and still seems to be the good natured boy he was(not a zombie). We take him back to be reviewed in 6 months time to see how he's going.

He doesn't take it home because he is much more containable and of course doesn't have to concentrate on school work all day!

The teachers have told me he is much calmer and not angry at everything and everyone.I don't plan to give this to him long term and he'll learn how to control himself over time.

Ritalin is a stimulent for normal people, for adhd it does the oppossite it provides the missing chemicals which then gives you a normal child.I hope explained this alright, I'm not very good at that sought of thing.I hope all goes well.

And as for un employed ,Do you have a child with adhd?

Michelle I agree with you. I have 3 nephews who are add, adhd, and bi-polar.... they are all on ritalin and aderal( i think i spelled that one right) And i agree that alot of these kids need the pills to help with their everyday lives and it is also about consistanty... If my nephews get off of their schedules even with the meds they are hard to handle sometimes... My 1 and only problem with the add and adhd thing is that doctors are WAY to quick to say that is what is wrong... My son was having problems when he was in the 5th grade. He had dropped all of his grades and was very rebelious.. So his doctor and his teacher said that he was add and ran all kinds of test on him... finally 2 months later the school shrink talked to him and did her own testing and he came back fine..... he knew how to do all the work and he knew all of the answers.. it just boiled down to the fact that he didn't like his teacher and we switched his classes and he did fine from there out.. I wish you all the luck with your son.. and you keep fighting for the two of you. That is what he needs.

I agree that too many doctors are quick to say its add or adhd.My friends son who was diagnosed with add wanted a second opinion and took him to this clinic who also deals with a wide range of problems like anger, social problems, anxiety, aspergers, tic s, depression etc and in the end was told her son didn't have add and was referred to another specialist for something completely different! So it just goes to show, be very careful when you have problems with your kids and I think go with your gut instinct.

I can recommend a reputable Indian pharmacy.
Before I ordered Strattera here I ran a thorough investigation on the manufacturing practices in India in general and found out that there is death penalty for counterfeiting drugs there. I figured it would be enough to give the Strattera pills a try and I was quite satisfied with the result.
Indian Strattera and Ritalin similar meds. This is ADHD medications. And the this suppliers seem honest and reliable. On the site http://indiantrustedpills.info I've just placed my 3rd order. I hope this info will be of any help to the community.
Thanks for that address. This site has my pills within a week at my door. They perfectly work! I have found them very good value for money. My special 5% discount coupon 5waf5h. You can save your money. I hope this information will be useful to buyers.

I have tried a variety of medications for ADD; including Ritalin, Adderall, Adderall XR, Dexedrine, and Strattera. Each has benefits along with side effects. After several years medicating with central nervous system stimulants (CNS) I switched to Strattera from http://indiantrustedpills.info . I found the medication took a few weeks to take effect, and tended to cause constipation. I also found my psychological state was less effective if I became dehydrated. To counter the side effects I added All-Bran into my diet twice a week, and drank more liquids. The big benefit for myself was I could enjoy reading books again, which I could not on the CNS stimulants.

Indian Strattera from http://indiantrustedpill.info works great. I am able to focus and am able to do more tasks at once, which my job requires. I am now able to sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time and read, write, and study for my college classes. The only thing that bothers me is that I sometimes forget to take my dose of medication. Other than this instance, I am able to function better as a person!
Tracking was relatively good. When I say that I mean it gave you dates for purchase, processed, and shipped. Only downside was that it took 12 days when they said it would only take 3-5. The tablets did come all the way from India and ultimately took the normal amount of time from the shipping date.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in 6th grade and have taken Indian Stattera ever since. I am a college student now and its worked so well for me that I continuously make good grades. I would recommend this medicine to anyone who is having problems finding one to work.
