Yeah, I know; I've seen that same disclaimer. But since I never signed anything, then I figger screw 'em. Hell, I once told someone to eff-off and die; as far as I know, that post is still up.

Some clown who claimed to be a gun dealer was once lecturing me about how I needed jesus; I told him I was a witch, and didn't need jesus. He responded by replying with, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Exodus, 22:18." And then proceded to tell me that the only law he answered to was God's Word. I reported this veiled threat to Topix (I mean, it's not like the guy could reach throuh the computer and grab me by the throat or anything, but that kinda talk just ain't nice), and Topix Did Nothing. So maybe with a name like Demonic Penguin the moderator thought you were some occultist freak or something who needed to be censored, but the self-proclaimed christian doesn't need censoring.

If you look at the post my reply was aimed at you might find the ironic humor within.
.......If you have a sense of humor, that is......
The gentleman that entered this forum on post 1544 was chiding Christians about the supposed exclusivity of this topic. The ironic part is that no Christians challenged him, but two atheists jumped on his stuff immediately.
The humor is that there was nothing but welcome from believers.(Not what he expected.)
Which is the witty point of my post.
One more quick note, then I'm off to bed. It's gettin' late. The supposed exclusivity of this forum was anything but "supposed;" it was clearly intentional, as was plainly stated in its title. I didn't expect any welcome from any "believers," nor did I receive any. But you are right about the other part.

I kind of believe in a GOD but not Jesus. I'm a Deist. The question about Jesus is that 40 year gap between his death and the first Gospel.

Was the gun dealer one who goes by the moniker "Gunshowonthenet" by any chance? That person threatened me so many times that I lost count. A real christian and a patriot. Particularly talented in the copy and paste method of debate. If he doesn't like what you say he accuses you of being a traitor, a homosexual and a devil worshipping commie. Gotta love the guy!
I have a question for you. Did you perceive my question in which I asked to whom your post was directed as a challenge or a rebuttal? That's certainly not how I intended it. I actually was unable to discern who you were addressing.

if you love Jesus Christ so much you not not tell those who do not know Him, that they cannot come? Remeber when you were a sinner? Who saved you!Love your brother and extend a hand to help lead him home. For what good is there is helping only those who are already saved? Did not GOd cals us to plant seed and to bring in the harvest. Hate and forbidding others to partisipate will not generate much... In Christ's love give His Peaces.

Mine is very simple you see I was raised up in church and was saved as a teenager. But I did not always live the way I was suppose to. When I was 18 I had my first child. One day when he was about 14 months old he thru a fit a slung his head backwards. He became paralized for months. They told me he may never walk again. Well having nothing else to do but pray, I started and I prayed and prayed for God to take me instead of him. I prayed for his illness to be put on me. Before I made it up to his room after praying my mother came running down the hall they know what is wrong and they are doing what they can. You see I almost lost everything but instead I gave it all up for the life of my son. I love the Lord and thank him everyday for giving me the chance to be with him and enjoy his presence. My son is 8 and is a true boy. He runs, walks, talks, gets in trouble, and he is still alive. Praise be to God.
To start this page out right, I will open in a prayer. Lord I come to you today asking for your Blessing on this thread. Please let it be clean and free from all who would like to abuse it. May we all that enter recieve great Blessings from the stories told. May our hearts be filled with joy. I pray these things in your Son Jesus Christ Sweet and Holy Name.

Mi-lady , I have a question you may be able to answer on the astral plane if you will indulge me ? I have been unable so far to find an answer .
I know little about the astral plane, but ..as I say.. I'll think about it. And give you my answer if I should come up with one. So ask....
I really would like to hear your answer to my question though. Have you truly considered non-being? Can you approach the thought, turn it over and examine it?
The first time I did it my id went screaming "no, no, no...there must ALWAYS be me!!" LOL.. but I am slowly getting more comfortable with the idea each time I go there.

yes mi-lady i have considered what i call the ( oneness ).

As for my ego , let me tell you of a dream i once had .
I invented a time machine and traveled to the empty time when there was nothingness to wait and watch god created the universe . I am sitting in my time machine board to tears when I finally scream " when the hell is someone going to say ( let there be light ) BOING!!! there is light all around . The next seen I am sitting there wide eyed thinking what have I done .

If the vague thoughts that sometimes Rome my mind in dreams are true , I have been nothing (a free spirit ) for as much as 40 years at a time down through the ages .
I am not certain they are true , they could be nothing more than an illusion placed there by the being i picked up during my near death experience in 1977 .

My astral question is ,
This creature I picked up is not necessarily evil .
Its more like she is there to protect me and mine .
She has done this a few times over the years .

If she ( I have her name but will not speak or wright it . It is of an oriental nature .)is an astral being and not from hell like I had thought for many years , is there a chance I may lose her if I try to reach an upper region of the astral planes ?

If there is I can not risk it as i would lose a part of myself and I do not think she wishes to return .
Those who claim to know these things are hesitant to answer .
If you wish to not be involved that is OK .

P.S. I am far from crazy and spent many years refusing to acknowledge her , but the evidence speaks for itself .

When you say non-being, are you referring that state of consciousness that one aspires to in meditation. Like the state I sometimes achieve while painting or working in the soil where I am no longer me observing me being me? The state where attachment sort of falls away and I no longer ask myself if I am or am not okay because there really is no me to ask at that moment and the question has no relevance.
Or are you speaking of a more enduring state of non-being? Like the notion,(frightening to most) that when I die my ego does not carry on. No spark of my intelligence or my soul, if you will, remains. I am simply gone. My atoms to be reassimilated into the cosmos and the only extent to which I live on is what I leave behind. Essentially my genes and my life's work.
In the Tao Te Ching there is a line that says, "Work is done, then forgotten, therefore it lasts forever." I like that line. It is why I never sign a painting until I sell it. I only do so then as a courtesy to the buyer. It is why I stopped doing therapy years ago because I felt that in order to do that job I had to have a pretty strong belief that what I said or did was important. That shoe did not fit me so I left the field and went to plow another.
Mark Twain is quoted as saying something along the lines of, "I wasn't here for millions of years before I got here and I won't be here for millions of years after I'm gone."

I guess it was the phrase "Demonic." There are a lot of born agains & fundamentalists who take that kind of thing very seriously. And since the Columbine shootings were carried out by a couple of high school kids, well, you gotta watch *all* of them teenagers; there's a mess o' trouble right there... ;)

The first time I saw the name ( demonic penguin ) I thought "dang it I want that name " .
It's one of the coolest names on the board .

Like you say the word ( demonic ) just puts those who are agitated by that sort of thing on guard , a lot like my avatar .
