Herbert Hoover was elected and a few months later the economy took a nose-dive into the Grand Canyon. He got chewed up and spit out for the Great Depression, even though the problems were NOT caused by his policies, but rather, were the result of a World of problems and Domestic politics. The first two years of almost ANY president's time in office is spent coasting along on those twin rails --- World problems, and Domestic issues --- begun before he'd taken office. It doesn't matter who the latest POTUS is, the problems with NOT clear up simply because this person or that person has been elected. Personally, I'd like to see EVERY person running for the highest office required to spend the first two years after election studying HISTORY. American History. World History. The History of Warfare. Including Foreign Policy. Including Tariffs and the World Market. Run the election two years before s/he is allowed to take office, then make sure that the POTUS-elect spends that forty-plus hours a week in that required study with the best teachers this Nation can supply. I'd love to see that requirement extended to everyone in Congress and Senate, as well. It's not enough to be a lawyer. Passing the Bar does not make that person competent to pass legislation. Some of the stuff being proposed, lately, is enough to make me scratch my head and wonder if the party proposing ever does anything but stuff his/her face and scratch his/her back-side. If asked, I wonder how many of them could actually PASS the tests required for Naturalization, as many do not appear to have any understanding of or appreciation for History.

LAST WORDS: Now I listen to the news and the President of America made the claim they need the Illegal’s, Migrants, and Immigrants out of America. How can anyone call themselves a loving person yet this world is so full of HATE and RACISM? HATERS, YOU WILL NEVER RESIDE IN GODS KINKDOM! WAVE THAT FLAG! I fear we can not dig ourselves out of this mess no matter who is in charge.

It realy doesn't matter what visions a president has for our country, as long as we have a 2 party system we will be mired down in bi-partisan politics, special interst influence, and pork-barrel legislation. Didn't know America had any problems. Seems we are the richest nation on Earth with more rights than we deserve. What real problems do we have? I got 3 TVs, 2 cars, Cable TV, furniture, food, clean water, a job, clothing, and money to spare. And I am just an average Joe. Seems Americans are becoming bigger whiners every day. That is our problem.

The president is only the poster boy/girl elected to absorb the slings and arrows and displeasure of the populace. There are bigger fish who control what goes on thruout the world. He/she has the bully pulpit to swing decisions one way or the other, but no matter which party is in office, things haven't changed much in the average citizens life (ups and downs) --- the struggle continues for everyone. Government always needs more money, and we always give it to them. They must have a master plan.
