Senator McCain Says "No Amnesty!"

Just days from a month-long congressional recess on August 5, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is urging the House to vote on immigration reform. Speaking to Bloomberg TV, the "Gang of Eight" member, and a chief architect of the "Amnesty First" bill that sailed through the Senate, McCain predicts "terrible political consequences for the Republican Party if the House kills immigration reform." "Dont we agree that 11 million people in the shadows is de facto amnesty? Dont you think we ought to act?" McCain asked. "Please, members of Congress, not in a negative fashion, but, please, members of Congress, pass a bill. Just get together and pass a bill." Pressure is also mounting from Latinos, who are urging the House to "look at the future of the party and the country" when considering immigration reform legislation. A failure to vote risks "permanently alienating Hispanics," says Hector Figueroa, a New York-based activist with the Service Employees International Union. Conservative Voices Must Remain Strong! Up to this point in the immigration reform debate, House Speaker John Boehner has been able to weather the "amnesty" storm -- no doubt buoyed by wave after wave of grassroots support. But is it enough? Your voice is critical in this debate. And not taking action only strengthens those seeking to "legalize" the illegals -- not just the 11 million that the media and pro-amnesty lawmakers reference -- but the 20-30 million more who will arrive on the coattails of those already here! Go here now to add your name to the national "NO AMNESTY" petition. Join the fight to protect and preserve America's economy and sovereignty: www.grassfirehq.com/985/petition.asp Grassfire is finalizing a massive "NO AMNESTY" petition delivery to John Boehner this Thursday (August 1), and we want to make certain your petition is among those hand-delivered to his office on Capitol Hill. We're only about 2,000 signatures shy of the important 100,000-petition delivery plateau. If you sign right now, your petition could be the one that pushes this grassroots initiative over the top! Adding your name to the "No Amnesty" petition is critical to bolstering the resolve of Speaker Boehner and other House Republicans who are under intense pressure to cave to President Obama, his allies on the Left and even Republicans like John McCain in the Senate! Ensure that your petition is among those hand-delivered to John Boehner and other House leaders this Thursday. Go here now to sign the "No Amnesty" petition: www.grassfirehq.com/985/petition.asp
We've said this before, but the House of Representatives truly is the last line of defense conservatives have to protect our national security, our economy and our way of life. Your voice in this debate has never been more important!
Thank you, in advance, for answering this call to action.
