Even Though Company Offers To Put On Fireworks Display For Free For Marines, Government Still Cancelled
Two weekends of golf for Dear Leader would have paid for this.
Double-edged naah naah for Obama -blame sequestration and stick it to the military-as he is off spending millions in Africa.
Military members and their families at North Carolina’s Marine Corps base Camp Lejeune are scratching their heads after the base would not reverse its decision to cancel its fireworks display despite a Pennsylvania company offering to do it for free.
In early May, the government announced the fireworks would be cancelled at both Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg. Back then, budget cuts known as sequestration were blamed.
“During a period in which federal employees are scheduled to be furloughed due to sequestration, expending limited funds and paying personnel overtime to manage a non-mission essential event just didn’t seem a prudent use of finite government resources in [General Thomas Gorry]‘s mind,” Nat Fahy, a spokesperson with Camp Lejeune, said at the time.
But when the Zambelli Family from Pennsylvania, which has put on the display for the base before, heard about the cuts, it offered to do the show for free.
The government turned them down.
Why? Because there are too many other costs associated with putting on the display that don’t involve just the fireworks.
And that seems to be in line with other stories. WFAE-RADIO reported the same thing earlier this week, even saying that the city of Jacksonville, North Carolina (where Lejuene is located), offer to front the bill for the fireworks, too:
Fahy says the city of Jacksonville offered to cover the cost of fireworks – about $25,000. But that still left the base short $75,000 for other expenses like security, food and paying staff overtime to host 20,000 people.
Still, some military families aren’t happy.
“It’s a load of crap,” veteran Mark Bergman told KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh.“We sacrifice everything, our time with our families. We dedicate ourselves to our jobs, and we do it better than anybody else in the world.”

Do you REALLY not understand that $25,000 does not cover the additional $75,000 of expenses?

OBAMA BIN LYIN wrote:
Obama on This July 4: Americans Free to 'Worship'--But Not Freely Excercise Their Religion
In a special weekly address, celebrating the 4th of July, President Barack Obama said that Americans are free to "worship" as they please--which mirrors language in the Iraqi constitution, but contrasts with the First Amendment to our own constitution which denies government any power to prohibit "the free exercise" of religion.
Obama's reference to freedom of "worship" rather than "free exercise" of religion is not a new one--but it is a telling one.
Obama speaks of freedom of "worship" rather than the "free exercise" of religion because at this very moment--on this 4th of July--he is attacking the free exercise of religion and denying it to Christians of multiple denominations who insist that his administration has no right to issue regulations forcing them into complicity with the taking of innocent human lives.

I see the self proclaimed "Queen of England" Yellow Mutt's little stint in the psych ward did nothing to improve his grasp of reality, his rinse and repeat idiocy (at least we know where his son, the St Louis Princess, gets it from), or his delusions. He is still a gutless, delusional, moron that is as clueless as ever.

It's too bad he felt it more important to go to the drag show at his favorite "all guys bar" then it was to take his retarded son to see some 4th of July fireworks. But then again they are admitted America haters so they probably don't celebrate Independence Day.

Scary Obituary
In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the
University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the
Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always
temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until
the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy,(which is) always followed by a
dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the
beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200
years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."
The Obituary follows:

Born 1776, Died 2012
It doesn't hurt to read this several times.
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in
St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning
the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 Romney: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 Romney: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million Romney: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Obama: 13.2 Romney: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory
Romney won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low
income tenements and living off various forms of government
welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population
already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase..

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million
criminal invaders called illegal’s - and they vote - then we can say
goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Pray tell: What does "the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history" have to do with democracy? For example, many of those "greatest civilizations" were monarchies.

Another salient point: why must a nation have "spiritual faith" to have "great courage"? Your so-called "progression" is mainly bloviation.

"Professor Olson" could also have said, "The map of the territory Romney won was primarily agricultural and the farmers who cultivated that territory were heavily subsidized by the federal government."

"Obama territory" greatly encompassed large cities known for their being able to create knowledge, products, and wealth, thus allowing those from agricultural areas to migrate to find a job and better themselves through the advantages of technological advances.

If you want to find "welfare," look to those agricultural states like Mississippi -- states which receive far more federal support than they pay in taxes to the US government. Now THOSE are real "welfare states"! Here is what those states RECEIVED for each $1.00 they sent to the federal government:

New Mexico,$2.63; West Virginia,$2.57; Mississippi,$2.47; Alabama,$2.03; Montana,$1.92. The list goes on. EACH ONE OF THOSE "welfare states" got support from the federal government.

Did those states vote for Romney? YES! Romney LOVED welfare recipients!

GREAT POST!!

Aside from the fact it sent Queen Yellow Mutt into an hysterical meltdown it really does shed some light into how flawed the voting system really is.

I have heard Savage and Levin talk about how the government dependency numbers can forever effect out elections. The Democrats have done a good job of turning this nation into a cradle to grave system. Once that number becomes a higher majority then those with self respect, work ethic, and the self esteem to provide for themselves, you can kiss this country goodbye. The sad part is these people are too stupid to look at how this has destroyed several European economies. It doesn't work. It is not sustainable. We are already at 17 trillion in debt. We can't handle much more. ObamaCare will be what finally drives this economy over the fiscal cliff. Obama knows this. That is why they are trying to delay the implementation of it until after the 2014 midterms (and in Queen Dawgs mind, the. 2014 Presidential elections LOL!!!).

The time to fight is now. The best thing about the IRS scandal is it has breathed new life into the Tea Party. They are rising up again to fight this bogus amnesty crap. It is fixing to get real interesting around here.
