I would have preferred Mollohan to both of these clowns, but Oliverio is the lesser of the two evils.

I am terrified by the thought of the psycho right regaining power in this country. Almost every person in our area of WV should be a democrat, but instead of looking out for their own self interests they vote for the greatest propagandists since Nazi Germany. Republicans want to lower the federal minimum wage. They want tax breaks to continue for companies that ship jobs overseas. They want to end Social Security. Are those not bad ideas?

Repubs and tea-baggers say that we need to cut the budget of the government. Yet they say we cannot cut the budget for the military, our vets, or our seniors, but that is 7-% of the budget. Anyone capable of logic can see the nuts on the right are full of it.

And to any tea-baggers out there, I hear all the complaining of personal freedoms, and smaller government that you have. My question then is why not have less laws and less police?

I'm not very familiar with either candidate, but my vote will go to Mr. McKinley in part because I'm fed up with the decades of Democrat representation from WV, not only in State government but in our Federal representatives. Frankly, anyone who might even consider siding with Obama on anything at this point, I would be against!

What will the republican party do for you? They screwed us over and over again. It is the party of the rich. You are not rich. You are the problem. You will bring this country down. When you are living on the street and your child is dying because you cant afford health care, you will see how dumb you are.

I miss President Bush Every time I see the Anointed One. He was a strong leader, and he did what he thought was right for our country. More than I can say for the wackjobs in the Whitehouse and congress now.

I also can't believe any West Virginian (or any woman) would vote for the party that wants to abolish Social Security, Medicare, and Unemployment Insurance; or the also hard fought-for minimum wage, Public Education, Union Rights (VERY dear to WV;) etc.

Or who sides with the abusive coal companies, who regardless of the regulations they ignore and thus kill miners, do and WILL continue to substitute raping the beautiful mountains in order to do their mining with much FEWER jobs.

Only the EPA could stop them - if we actually made them do their job and funded that regulation..(and Manchin fights FOR the companies who killed miners in the past, and by greedy neglect of safety, even continue to kill them today. Suing the EPA in favor of the companies that abused miners for decades is WRONG - and they certainly shouldn't have his help in the Senate!)

Re: abortion: I believe one has the right to believe, and do, as s/he wishes with his/her own body. If you think "X" is wrong - don't do it. No law can stop you.

BUT - S/he does NOT have the right to tell anyone else what to do -OR NOT DO- with theirs.

The answer I and the wife are left with, is - Mountain Party.
Jesse is even for the Public Option, the only way the ACA (Health Care) Bill can work to actually CUT PRICES IN HALF and control the protection racket that is for-profit health insurance. Perfect. He's even for doing away with the derivatives market that caused the recession on Wall Street, and for STOPPING the offshoring of American Jobs to China.
