Of course those Repub Congressmen are losing nothing by closing government and could care less about government workers because their multi-MILLIONAIRES...

Health insurance for them...we're paying for...and the $175,000 that they make a year...especially for working less hours than any other House has in it's history...

And they are still getting paid....

And today we rack up another $50 million for simply closing the government...

Repubs and fiscal responsibility.......what a joke!

Gov. Failling said there was not enough money to build storm shelters in Oklahoma schools but she found the money to give the well off a tax cut.

Never fear, the Oklahoma Dems are collecting signatures to put a bond issue on the ballot to build the shelters. We Dems actually think that children living in tornado alley are more important than Republican do. Of course Gov Failing is against the bond issue as well...

i dont understand why yall think the obamacare is better... Isnt there a 1930s unfinished subway in new york? I would love to have that job! Thats a lifetime job security.... The subway was bought out by govt,(city, i presume) because the companies were gonna raise the price, people didnt want that. So govt took over and raised prices anyways, and started building a new subway, in thr 1930s that is still unfinished.... It may be a "blessing" now till they raise the price, or for some take your tax returns, for non payment :(

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Unaffordable Care Act wanted to start enrolling people, but could not without some problems in Oklahoma.

Bernae Richardson went to an event hosted by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oklahoma to get questions answered. When she tried to enroll at one of the set up computer stations, she was kicked offline. ROFLMAO...

By lunchtime Tuesday, the health center received several calls from people asking about Affordable Care Act, but nobody enrolled.

"The site is unavailable at the moment for an undetermined amount of time," said certified Counselor Nicole Alexander at Mary Mahoney about healthcare gov.

There are 600,000 uninsured Oklahomans of which 599,900 confirmed people that have zero interest in Obamacare.

By lunchtime Tuesday, the health center received several calls from people asking about Affordable Care Act, but nobody enrolled or was interested.

They want it because Obama said so and they can't go against him no matter what.

<quoted text>Funny that you two would mention this. When you sign up for health insurance on the exchanges, you can also register to vote as well. I'm also able to get a better policy with lower deductible at $200 a month cheaper. My husband also was able to lower his from the same company he uses now, Blue Cross. Buying health insurance from a company...or as Repubs call it Socialism....Laughing My Ass Off At Idiot Repubs.......
Karen, first let me say that is wonderful if you and Ray can save that much money, you are absolutely the exception that is as rare as a caveman. Signing up to vote is nothing new.

Before Progressive Democrats mount their brooms and stick-horses to start engaging in a vast left-wing celebration, lol, it’s worth noting this idea came from the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, better known as the “Motor Voter” law, because it allowed all Americans to register to vote while renewing their driver’s license and... because the law “requires states to offer voter registration at all offices that provide ‘public assistance’ including Medicaid applications.

But the impact of the voter registration option will also be limited by two key factors. Fully one in five of the nation’s uninsured are not U.S. citizens, making them ineligible to vote at all, a factor that helps explain why the Post-Kaiser poll found just 64 percent of uninsured respondents are already registered, 22 points below the national average.

Second, making voter registration easier doesn’t always result in a boost in turnout. The same law that accounts for why Obamacare now presents a voting registration opportunity had only mixed effects on turnout after it was enacted. Turnout increased by roughly five percentage points in states that used combined forms for the DMV and voter registration or actively encouraged registration, wrote Political Scientist Benjamin Highton in a 2004 article summarizing research about the law. But in states that made less of an effort, turnout hardly moved.

We are less concerned with the voter registration element of the enrollment application, and more concerned about defunding the law or at least getting a delay in the individual mandate just like Obama did for the Fat Cat Corporate Folks and all of the Politicians and their Staff while he figures out how he can exempt the Unions too and get around Congress. Regardless of what’s on the enrollment application, the greater point is that enrollment in ObamaCare should be voluntary. Give Americans a choice, something Democrats refuse to do yet refuse to participate.
Go figure...

Funny you mention Politicians get their healthcare because we pay for it. Perhaps your news sources are not broadcasting right now or you would have known this little tid-bit:
House Republicans, aided by nine Democrats, powered through a proposal to force members of Congress to forgo taxpayers’ contributions to their health plans and accept Obamacare.“This is not about me and it’s not about Republicans here in Congress. It’s about fairness for the American people,” Mr. Boehner said.
The 228-201 vote, though, was for naught.

The Senate Democrats defeated that idea in the Senate and refuse to participate in a law they are forcing down the throats of those that do not want it either, WHY? You complain about it yet you still vote for them. Oh'well... turn out the lights and send them home.

Great and then we the voters will show you liberals how to defeat it at the voting polls. There is a better idea in the works, more on that later as I may invest in it. I definately am in favor of everyone having a shelter, I will never agree to tack in on the backs of the taxpayer when their is a better way to git'r'done as Larry would say, lol. Perhaps your side would better spend their time trying to find someone for Mary to beat again or chance becoming an unknown party in this state and let Mary take care of the thinking about how best to spend our money.

Exactly, that is why they favor it and most have never sit down to see just how much they have to spend plus premiums before the insurance spends a dime, lol. I like my Doctors idea on his new plan that I post a few pages or so back. I will do that to help him get away from Obamacare insureds but don't really need that either, lol.

Well the tea party Republicans are engaged in a coup d'Etat of the Obama Administration and a Democratic Senate.

Frankly all members of the Democratic Party are pledging to hold firm against an attempted nullification of a Dem Majority in the Senate and the Presidency from the minority party.

This will not end well for Republicans.

The Republican Mother Teresa of Oklahoma, Mary Fallin has decided to spend a few million to figure out why we have a shortage of teachers, when all she has to do is look at the teachers pay scale.

Stupid is as stupid does. Cut the education budget some more Mary.
