Don Lemon is the latest journalist to come clean about Obamacare. They know they’ll need to stop lying, or risk losing their credibility with the public.

Don Lemon raised the ire of many when he played into Fox News and Bill O’Reilly’s blanket attack on minorities. Some believed he may have been auditioning for a new Fox News gig and adopting their faux news methodology more closely. Don Lemon was no different than most other traditional media journalists. He like others have been rolled over by a well-organized and orchestrated Right Wing, Tea Party, Republican machine that have allowed the use of the national airwaves to misinform, lie to, and confuse their listeners.

This week Don Lemon began his process of atonement. He used his Tuesday’s Tom Joyner radio segment to come clean. What is interesting is that he referenced many fact checks he should have known and every legitimate journalist should have known when Republicans were spewing their venomous lies into the American psyche. Don Lemon, Chuck Todd, and most traditional journalists are responsible for being the conduits Republicans used to misinform.

Don Lemon now admits that Republicans are holding Americans hostage instead of telling them the truth. He said it is hard for them to tell the citizens the truth after not being above-board (lying) to them for years. He said the three biggest whoppers (lies) are that it is a job killer, that it will raise insurance premiums, and that it would affect ones medical care. He fact checked them all and said they are lies. Now one would hope he will do the same on air when at CNN.

Good for Don Lemon. I knew there was a reason I liked him. Maybe we can get to a point where GOP liars are afraid to lie on mainstream media cause they could get

I like Don Lemon but he could never be on Fox as he is gay. The bigots that are on that station are constitutionally incapable of being honest or fair and he seems to be both.

I think so many are crazy now as many believe themselves to be Christians, but now recognize that they have lost their souls by giving up on Christian notion of loving thy neighbor and instead turning to modern GOPTP call to hate thy neighbor and worship the Golden Calf. When confronted with the loss of eternal salvation, most simply go stark raving mad, which more craven elements within the GOPTP then use to manipulate them further.

Sadly, as much as others may try to educate and help them, the choice of eternal damnation is their own.

Is it too much to hope that these dysfunctional, angry, reductionist, apocalyptic, God-invoking, fear-mongering dipshits will pass into oblivion come November, 2014?

And none of the Republicans are Christians. I don't believe their metaphysics, but their Jesus had some [some] sensible ideas, like helping the poor. Jesus's philosophy and the Republican platform are diametrically opposed, every single Republican is an "antichrist." There can no more be Republican Christians than there can be Jewish Nazis or black Ku Klux Klanners.

Privatization was the GOP's gift to its contributors and friends. Note that the GOP, all the way back to Reagan, is responsible for runaway debt, and the facts prove it. What the GOP excels in, is running up the debt, stealing the money then leaving a Democrat to clean up their mess, while they stand on the sideline and criticize.

The thing to always keep in mind is...the republicans’ don’t do anything for the benefit of the nation; that is not their primary concern. They only do things for the benefit of themselves and the grossly rich people the willingly whore themselves out to.
Everyone else are just useful idiots to them, to be used and thrown away when they are done.

The cost of the uninsured people who do not have the money to pay for medical care and end up in emergency rooms with things that could and should have been prevented or caught early is borne by the rest of the public through their insurance companies or out of their pocket, one way or another. Has no one ever seen the difference in a hospital bill for a cash-paying patient and an insured patient? Those who pay cash are soaked for a huge amount to attempt to cover the cost of taking in those who cannot pay at all. And the cost of emergency care would be reduced dramatically by simply giving everyone simple preventative care and early care of problems that cannot be prevented.

I do not believe you understand that everyone who wants and needs insurance will be covered under the Affordable Health Plan one way or another either by paying for a plan themselves or relying on their local state Medicaid program if they either do not have a job, or have a low-paying job that does not offer insurance coverage if they in fact meet
their State's Medicaid eligibility requirements. That is of course their state has accepted the Extended Medicaid coverage offered through the Affordable Care Act.
