An interesting little wrinkle was announced today, Joe DiGenova, Partner of DiGenova & Toensing Law Firm has been interviewed concerning the Benghazi Hearings. Mr. DiGenova is representing a official who is also a whistleblower. Geraldo Rivera will be airing the interview this weekend. Yes very interesting development! Now we have 2 very experienced attorneys who both should be expedited through the security clearance process without a hitch due to their past clearance levels. This hearing is catching more and more of my attention as time goes by.

That is absolutely a fact and the best is yet to come. Just like WaterGate all over again. Joe Biden will play Gerald Ford, LOL.

House of Representatives Interim Report on Benghazi is available to read in full on foxnews.com if anyone would actually like to know what the summary of their findings are in full without networks "creative editing of content."

The first page has a Executive Summary which along with the future testimony of the whistleblowers should solidify the case against the administra-
tion's version of the "facts" they promoted as a truthful rendition of events.

MistyGirl's post adds weight to the evidence that there is much more to learn regarding Benghazi. From what I gather Mr. DiGenova has a sterling reputation and his partner Ms. Toensing is also representing a whistleblower. It will be enlightening to hear what these whistleblowers have to say about what really happened.

LOl, good old Joe always a laugh a minute! When I found this out I had to laugh because Victoria and Joe are married and law partners, so the whistleblowers will have not only their individual testimonies but the added advantage to corroborate each others testimonies in the best way possible since their attorneys can collaborate unimpeded. This has ramped up my personal interest level to the point I would like to clear my schedule to view the hearings live. My husband and I both have talked almost a hour about the coming hearing this afternoon! I hope that will be a possibility because I enjoy watching those hidden reactions that are so telling in hearings/court cases. The things that are often left out by the news media but so very important to understand the case.

Maddy's right about the House's Interim Report. The Executive Summary doesn't bode well for Hillary. I was secretly hoping that maybe Obama was the guilty party who gave orders and the rest of the administration followed. I didn't want to believe she was in any way responsible. The hearings should clarify in my mind any questions I have regarding complicity on her part.

Yuk the weather has changed cold again and snow is a possibility and I have masses of Spring flowers in full bloom. With the added wind I bet you will have a charming fire in the fireplace tonight because the wind chill coming off the lake will be uncomfortable. Of course you were used to Chicago and oh my goodness the wind off Lake Michigan is something else!

Belief in biblical end-times stifling climate change action in U.S.:

The United States has failed to take action to mitigate climate change thanks in part to the large number of religious Americans who believe the world has a set expiration date.

Research by David C. Barker of the University of Pittsburgh and David H. Bearce of the University of Colorado uncovered that belief in the biblical end-times was a motivating factor behind resistance to curbing climate change.

“[T]he fact that such an overwhelming percentage of Republican citizens profess a belief in the Second Coming (76 percent in 2006, according to our sample) suggests that governmental attempts to curb greenhouse emissions would encounter stiff resistance even if every Democrat in the country wanted to curb them,”

“It stands to reason that most nonbelievers would support preserving the Earth for future generations, but that end-times believers would rationally perceive such efforts to be ultimately futile, and hence ill-advised,”

That very sentiment has been expressed by federal legislators. Rep. John Shimkus (R-IL) said in 2010 that he opposed action on climate change because “the Earth will end only when God declares it to be over.” He is the chairman of the Subcommittee on Environment and the Economy.

These cult fools have no conscription of what the bible says. These teabaggers are not religious they care corporate suck ups. Their support for red state communism shows what their real agenda is. If they borrowed the terrorist Bush hotline to heaven they dialed the wrong number. They still think witch burnings are a holy cause.

Wish fulfillment. The "End Times" folks believed, ahem, religiously that Jesus was coming back, let's see, how many times over the past couple of decades, with the "Left Behind" books fueling a lot of this religious idiocy. So, wish fulfillment, related to stopping a global catastrophe from occurring due to man-made global warming (not god-made), with religious "Second Coming" wish-fulfillment helping block any attempt to mitigate this looming global disaster (on a, ahem, biblical scale) as if the "End Times" folks WANT this to happen. This is similar to certain Christians supporting Israel, but only as a prelude to Israel being destroyed, eradicated, to pave the way for the "Second Coming" (they believe). Wish fulfillment, which is just their wishing for death (no, not for them, just for everyone else). Saying they're insane is being too kind.

Absolutely hilarious.
A bunch of climate cargo cultists accusing a bunch of sky god worshipers of a cognitive disconnect.....too funny.
This actually comes across more as envy than anything else.
To wit.....
"How come these fools are stupid enough to fall for that crap and not stupid enough to fall for ours??"
Pot meet Kettle.....Kettle meet Pot.

Obviously religion makes people willfully ignorant, or in other words, stupid. Rather than the opiate of the masses, religion has become the hallucinagin of the masses.

Points Of Fascism

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend
to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are
persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common thr184eat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

I believe the real answer is the one you stated at the very end of your post--lawmakers acting in collusion with big players in the energy industry. I'm a
Christian, and I read my Bible. What I've never understood about Christians who are trying to bring about the end-times is their total disregard for the fact that, according to the Bible, there is nothing they can/will ever do that will cause the end-times to occur. It's God's decision. I'm sick of them pretending that decisions they're making are from God. They're not. They have an agenda, and it has nothing at all to do with what God really wants them to do, imo.

How come "minority interests often successfully block majority preferences" only when Democrats are in the majority? Most Americans didn't want the USA PATRIOT Act, the illegal invasion of Iraq, torture, warrantless surveillance etc. during the Bush administration but we got it all. The Dem minority failed to block anything.

We are extinct. People refusing to recognize science will destroy the world. They will die feverishly digging for more coal, even as they come up short of breath. They will take us all down with them, no matter how many times we tell them to pay attention to the solutions.

When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river
is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realize, too
late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.

Famous, although somewhat disputed Native American quote.

In almost every single projection of environmental problems, we see the planet going to crap even if we were to put our full efforts into remediation. The damage is irreversible and the cure doesn't exist.

I have zero faith in humanity at this point. I'm gonna live out my self and enjoy it while doing my best to reduc m y own footprint. But my conscience is clear either way. Earth won't last much longer as an inhabitable planet.
