As I stated on the other site: In order to draw your own conclusion you need to know both sides. It helps to know something about the way the legal system works also. The Board doesn't seem to care. They do not educate themselves. They are just led around by their attorney and Winston Blazer.(Spending our money as they go).

What is Winston and the Board going to do when all the reserves are long gone? How will Winston pay his big wages and spend, spend spend with NO money? They are balancing the budget by pulling large amounts from the reserve accounts. Five years of this and Tellico Village will be broke.

Winston and his direct reports will be "long-gone" in a few years, before the reserves run out and it is impossible to raise the assessments any higher. By then they will have milked the cow dry, and it will be ready for sale to the highest bidder to go to the nearest slaughter house for dismemberment and resell. If you ain't got this figured out by now, shame on you, not the POA as they are only looking after the "company business and executive intrest", just like all companies do. What made you think this one was any different?

By then I'll be living in the Cayman Islands with my new girlfriend.

Is this a joke? Robert Coates running for the Board? Anyone who has had contact with this person can see he suffers from dementia. He cannot remember events or people. My personal contact with him regarded a conversation he said we had before I even knew him or moved here! Seriously, do not vote for this individual. he needs help, not an office. Try talking to him on the phone sometime, you will here over an over again, "I don't remember" or "I can't answer that" it's a bizzare experience.
He probably doesn't recall he used to be a Board member.

When have we met? I moved to the Village shortly after the Japs surrendered to Teddy Roosevelt. those were the days I'll tell ya. I had me a sweet little 34 Ford sedan with a V8 ... or was it a 32?? I can't emember it must have been ten years since i sold it, I think it was the Eisenhower administration..

People, let's keep it civil. I will not be voting for Bob Coates, but he does not deserve the above comments.

I agree, I won't be voting for Coates either. I've never seen so many rude, sad, angry, hurtful, and just plain mean posts. Can't we come together as Tellico Village residents and find a way to get the facts out about this Board and this Manager without going for each others throats? I will be voting for Anklin and Pilgrim just to make sure we have some checks and balances on the Board.

OK "Coates" (we all know that the name is phoney), you have had your rebuttal to the attack. Now can we return to being civil?

What are you all alleging about the POA Board and management? Specificity and proof would serve your cause more effectively than nuance and name-calling.

If the United States of America can change it's power base and elect people who will listen to what people want, then why can't we change the little ole POA Board in Tellico Village?
We could start a neighborhood watch in each neighborhood with appointed people each month to attend the POA Board Meetings and report back what is being done. Arklin and Pilgrim have been attending Board meetings and reporting what they see on this site, but not many people go to this site. The facts of the Board meetings need to be put out quickly to all the residents. No more secrets let out after the fact.
I'm surprised the HOA doesn't run a program like this. We the people need to attend these meetings and speak our mind and let it be known (web site, newspaper, or posting concerns) in one place.
Nothing will ever change unless we make it happen.

Don't count on the 5% limitation on dues hikes lasting. When that Amendment to the C and Rs, that was ilegally passed last year by counting inelligible votes, which makes it easier to amend the Covenants and Restrictions, goes into effect next year, the first order of business will be to cancel that 5% limit on dues hikes. The resulting unrestricted increase in dues will accelerate the number of developed property defaults and those seized properties will then be sold to Friends of POA at public auctions at reduced costs. These clowns have a gold mine and they aren't likely to let go until they have sucked evey last dime they can get out of TV Property Owners.

Look on the POA website or Facebook pages. Even the TV directory lists them.
