Will someone in the know tell me when the elections are, who is running, and what they are willing to do for the citizens of Tellico village. I don't want to go back over all that trash talk of previous topics. They have gotten to long.

Can anyone tell me how we can get rid of Blazer. Who hired him and since Cooper is gone how can we fire him. This is our Village and we deserve to be able to evaluate the job he is doing. Who gets paid what, why did employees get pay increases and incentives when most employees in this area don't get increases or don't even have a job.

How much idoes Blazer get paid and how does it compare to other POA associations in retirement areas?

Is the hiring policy open to the public and the villagers or is it who knows who on the Board? I have heard that the employees are called the Sweetwater Mafia.

Why don't the Villagers get a vote or opinion on how the Yacht Club is run and who is hired to run the Yacht Club Restaurant. What we want to eat, what we want to pay for a meal, and how it's run.

Maybe this has already been answered. Can we have a business dialog without name calling and trash talking. Just the facts.
What can we do to help ourselves run our own Village?

Well, this has ALL been answered already. Why dont you go through the forum and actually read what has been posted. Better yet, why dont you get your head out of your ass and read the covenants, restrictions, new owners information. Quit being lazy and asking perfect strangers to answer your weak questions.

No one got raises in two years at the POA. The Board of Directors dictates who is hired as contractors for the Yacht Club. The Board of Directors also hires the GM. Geez, don't you understand anything about business and how it works? Blazer got paid $1,500,000 last year. THis is 10% less then most GM in similar industries. What a complete dip shit you are.

So you dont want to trash talk or call names but you find it appropriate to call staff the "Sweetwater Mafia"? What a total ass you are. Just like the Democrats in Congress your agenda is showing. Why dont you go back to your liberal loving, tax spending New York or Ohio. You make me sick pig.

First of all I am sorry for the initial response you received. I will not address that persons caracter. And to Duhhh, TV Resident did NOT engage in name calling and trash talk and did not call employees Sweetwater Mafia, but mearly said that he/she has hear they are called that, which I believe all resident have heard. While this is an undeserved label, we have all heard that term used.

Now to your concerns TV Resident - TV is a democratic form of management in that we elect the board who acts on our behalf, just as the government is supposed to do for us. If you don't like what the board is doing (you think they should fire Blazer and they dont), then you should vote to replace the board.

This year there are 6 candidates, two of whom are now on the board - Marlette and Willis. Another, Bob Coates, is not currently on the Board but has a recent history of serving on the Board. If you don't like what the Board has been doing in recent years, I suggest you don't vote for them.

The other candidates are Cap Purvis, Richard Anklin and Jeannie Pilgrim. Anklin and Pilgrim are the only two who have spoken out against recent board actions. You might want to consider voting for them.

The election process starts in November and ends in December. You will get a voting notice sent to you. Please vote.

Duhhhhh, it appears you have given a person advice on getting his/her head out of his/her ass, yet you state that Blazer was paid 1,500,000. Are you sure that we are paying this person one and half millions per year? And ten per cent less than other GM's. You are one stupid person and very rude on top of that.

Thank you for your kind and informative response to my question.
I will spread the word to everyone I know and meet. I am not retired and both my husband and I work so it is hard to keep informed. I read the blogs here but can't spend the time wading through all the trash talk. Most of my friends won't go to this site because of all the trash talk.
Now that I know how the system works, I will be writing letters and informing Board members of what I would like to see done in the village. Thanks again

Owners of multiple properties/lots get seperate ID & PIN numbers for each of their properties to vote.

Those properties/lots that are delinquent in their monthly assessments are excluded from voting.

Thanks, I'll pass this information on to everyone I know. I knew the information was out there somewhere. This site was very helpful.

Unfortunately, you are wrong about the delinquent property owner voting rights. Although most HOA/POA associations exclude delinquent property owners from voting in elections, the covenants and restrictions for Tellico Village specifically allow voting by delinquent owners "at the desecration of the Board of Directors". Sad but true! And since voting has been changed to an electronic format where the General Manager holds a book containing both the log-on codes and the password for all property owners -- well, you figure it out. A rigged election, some might call it. Now you know why the Board PUSHED so hard for the format to be changed from paper to electronic. It's all about full control.

I got my Vote! card today and went to the Wed site www.tvpoa.net
and couldn't find anything on the new people running or anything about the voting.

Anyone who thinks that a change in the Board is needed should vote for Richard Anklin and Jeannie Pilgrim

I'm sick of listening to the fools on the POA. I'm voting for Richard Anklin because he's the only one in the village with enough guts to stand up to me.

The only vote that counts for you is the ones to be cast by Joe Marlette and the new Vice President Elect after the election in November. If they have any clue to the future, they will cut you loose and seek a change in direction for the Village by seeking out a professional in management and restructuring of companies in the property management business, somebody with the capability to exercise vision.

My vision is 20/20. I'll be seeing your money in my bank account for another 20 years and if you don't like it that's too bad cause there's only 20 people's got a say in what happens at the Village anyhow and you're not one of them

Well now, I guess you told me. Your statement says more about you than it does me, and I happen to think that you are right. It is just that your attitude is "self serving", and as long as you are empowered by the Board to choose those 20 people that make up the elite of the Village, you are in good shape.

I call it: keeping my friends close and my enemies even closer. Which sounds like it might be hard to do except I haven't got any friends and I dont let anyone get close.

I think you and Joe Marlette are joined at the hip. How much closer can you get than that. However, he is not a friend of yours. You know something that nobody else knows, like where his girlfriend lives in the Village and some things about his personals, something like those other business relationships through family that he does not want known.
