How about that silly looking liberal with the wig. You know the ex governor of Illinois the one that is in jail for trying to buy a senate seat. He was a real intelligent one wasn't he.

It's the best way to get the full picture.
CNN, MSNBC, FOX, HNN, and even Current and Blaze
from time to time.
It amazes me that FOX is allowed to report lies
and call it news. It's also scary to know many
ppl watch only that and believe everything that
is said w/o checking up on the facts themselves.
I been burned out on news on TV for about three years and only watch it when a breaking news story comes out, then watch it until saturation on the story kicks in (where it gets kinda blah blah blah) and go elsewhere. I see more accuracy in news from reading some people's posts around the topix universe than on tv in general.

That's the problem, dummy. Republicans think it's news. I know this because they come on here every day repeating what they heard almost word for word.

You don't need to feel bad for me. You should feel bad for the idiots who watch it and don't know any better--you know--republicans.

Hell, that's why so many of you were surprised when Romney lost in 2012. If you had been watching anything other than opinion shows (the entire Fox News line-up), you would have known he didn't stand a chance in hell.
Brocko Bomma wrote:
<quoted text>those shows you mentioned are opinion shows. They reflect the views of the people on the show. For example, on hannitys show, it will reflect his opinion.
I'm sorry, honey, you thought those were news shows? No, no, they are expressing their opinion just like you do on here.
I feel bad for you, thought everyone knew those were opinion shows.
It's ok, don't worry about it, we understand.
Remember, though, blame bush.

We've had nothing but disaster porn on ever since the Oklahoma tornado. It seems to be switching gears a little bit now though. MSNBC is running stories about the republicans opposing aid. Fox is running stories about how the Red Cross money hasn't been used yet.

You have to admit it's a good deal for Fox News. First of all, their audience NEVER questions any of their bullshit. Secondly, their audience is dumb enough to believe everything they tell them. Hell, listen to them. They even quote Fox's advertizing slogan as if it is some kind of guarantee...."Fair And Balanced."

All Fox has to do is cater to the fear and stupidity of republicans and they have a formula for success.

I would say that I watch about two hours of TV news a week now. I can't even turn on Fox for even a second. CNN has become a joke. MSNBC has gotten ridiculous and almost as bad as Fox in their pandering. Network news in general is not much better.

I find myself getting more news on-line now (from legitimate sites) and going back to the old fashioned "Newspapers." Television news is little more than 30 second sound bytes taken totally out of context and usually meant to make a point more than inform.

Even disasters (like the Oklahoma tornado or New Jersey) quickly get turned into a left/right pissing contest.

I miss the days when the network news divisions were independent from the entertainment divisions and you could trust that the news had not been packaged to appeal to a certain demographic of "loyal viewers."

Chicago is the home of a lot of people. It's a very big city? Ever been there? Has a hell of a lot more to offer than Beckley.

Changing your name is not a crime, is it? He never hid the fact that he had changed his name, did he?

He changed his name to a "Muslim name" to make idiots like you spin in circles and piss their pants. It worked quite well.
