It's impossible for someone to be successful enough to gross 250k and stupid enough to think he pays 110k in taxes at the same time.

The problem with our tax system is that rich people don't pay their fair share. But it isn't their fault. Our taxes need to be based on wealth, not income. When you consider that the top one percent owns 90 percent of our wealth, you can see where it just isn't fair even for someone earning well over six figures to pay any taxes. That disparity is also the one statistic that has grown commensurate with the slide of middle class wealth.

You can't blame anyone for being savvy enough to avoid or reduce his tax burden. It's not a charity.
Who do you thinks pays 90 percent of the taxes in this country. It sure isn't the middle class. It is the top 10 percent income earners. It is not far for the top 10 percent to pay 90 percent of the taxes. Especially when the bottom 50 percent pay nearly nothing in taxes. You have to under stand that people making over $250,000 are considered rich in the presidents eyes. They are small business owners that employee people. They are not rich by no means. That is the people that the president wanted to raise taxes on. Please tell me how that helps the economy. These are people that run a plumbing business out of there garage, gas station owners, landscaping companies and some mom and pop shops that are going out of business because of government policies that run them out of business.

Well the fact is, what you are spewing are not economic facts. They are economic fallacies. So in a sense, you are correct. The source of your economic fallacies is irrelevant.

I don't get my economic facts from Liberal News Channels like MSNBC, CNN, ABC, or Headline News nor I get them from FNC or FBC. I read mines from a real source of economic news. Not some ex-Clinton or Bush hack. Grow some brain cells and read a little bit you might learn something. Also stay off the oped pages.

The difference is between the working class and millionaires.

Now if you think you have what it takes to argue with Nobel Prize winning economists, please feel free to make a complete ass of yourself.

But the fact is, so far all you have demonstrated is that you think making 250K puts you on par with millionaires and it does not.

True. Taking out Saddam destablized the area. That's why we are having problems with Iran and Syria. Bush Sr. knew that and that is why he didn't take out Saddam in the first Gulf War. Little Bush listened to Cheney and that was his undoing.

That war has cost us a fortune and we have nothing to show for it other than creating a nanny state where we are pumping in billions of dollars for nothing.

No you are not to smart are you. If you were such a working poor paying more than your far share, how are you on here at 10:11 am on a Tuesday morning? The religious right ruined it for everybody.

Barry Goldwater said it best:

On religious issues there can be little or no compromise. There is no position on which people are so immovable as their religious beliefs. There is no more powerful ally one can claim in a debate than Jesus Christ, or God, or Allah, or whatever one calls this supreme being. But like any powerful weapon, the use of God's name on one's behalf should be used sparingly. The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom. They are trying to force government leaders into following their position 100 percent. If you disagree with these religious groups on a particular moral issue, they complain, they threaten you with a loss of money or votes or both.
I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in "A," "B," "C" and "D." Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me?
