How Obama compares to other presidents

gallup.com

The Gallup Approval Center shows that after 1738 days in office, approval ratings were: Obama 43%; George Bush 41%; Bill Clinton 59% and Ronald Reagan 62%.

Poll: Obama approval rating climbs (a little)
A new poll shows President Obama's approval rating is up over a previous low, but the overall numbers aren't so great.

The Washington Post-ABC News survey gives Obama an approval rating of 46%, over a poll low of 42% back in November.

Do you even know what a dividend is? It is a return on an investment and one has already paid taxes on the money once. You are foolish to consider it ordinary income that has not been taxed already.
Consider this; in Kentucky if you buy a car you pay a sales tax

<quoted text>I don't think we have any major disagreements so far. I have a little concern about your statement about people who want to hurt people with guns shouldn't have guns and every possible way to eliminate shooting first graders should be taken. I believe your sentiments which are expressed by many people leave quite a bit of room for restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Elaborate more on your point so I am clear about what you mean.
By the way, Hamilton expressed how difficult it was to maintain a well regulated militia because preparedness took away from other productive activities and concluded the best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.
"the best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."

What was true in 1787 sounds absurd in 2014,
Our right to keep and bear arms will not be infringed because a well regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free state.

My point is, simply...we HAVE TO come up with a way to keep our guns and protect little boys and girls at school, both.

For my home defense I have my Wetherby .338 as first line of defense, assuming I know they are coming. Then a good old Winchester ground hog gun. If they get past those two, I will go to the AK, then the 12 game pump. If they still keep coming it will be up to the Glock 10mm.

What was is true in 1787 is still true in 2014 whether it sounds absurd or not. The nature of man has not changed. I agree with you that we need to find a solution to protect people in schools, shopping malls, and cinemas. Maybe Hamilton's notion of the security of a free state is applicable to individual self defense, that is, the best we can hope for is that the people be properly armed. If not having guns in schools, malls, and cinemas, is not one of the responses among others, why do we call people with guns (police) to the scene after the fact? If guns beforehand should not be part of a response to these threats, why guns afterwards in response to these threats?

And by the way, our right to keep and bear arms is already being infringed by the very entity that the Founders distrusted to begin with - the federal government. The firearms today most suitable for use by a militia are machine guns which the federal government restricts ownership. The Second Amendment was written primarily with the notion of using arms against our government. The most effective arms for use against possible government tyranny are now controlled by the same government. I don't think our Founders wanted the federal government to have authority to restrict firearms.

You are taxed on soft drinks.
You are taxed on alcohol and cigarettes at an additional rate!
You are taxed on your property when you die (even when you paid those taxes all your life).
And why are you taxed?
