We promise faithfully to:
"Punish the poor"
"Make it as difficult as we possibly can for any kind of social mobility"
"Make education expensive"
"Make it perfectly acceptible to tempt foreign workers into the country with visas who are equally as qualified as Americans but who will accept lower wages to drive down the US workers wage"
"Outsource as much as possible to Asia and the Indian Sub-continent...because that will trickle down......somewhere"
"Ensure that the only thing governing a childs destiny is the financial position of their parents"
"Deregulate the financial system(AGAIN) to ensure at least some folks prosper from the mess we'll leave behind"

Farah: Obama Proves He's Evil By Watching House Of Cards
Joseph Farah, the editor of WorldNetDaily, is outraged that President Obama is a fan of the Netflix series “House of Cards,” and is particularly scandalized by the president’s joking observation that the show’s ruthless lead character, House Majority Whip Francis Underwood, is “getting a lot of stuff done.”
Anyone who actually watched the president’s comments could tell that he was clearly joking, but Farah claims that Obama is “shamelessly promoting” Underwood’s corrupt behavior and sees him as a “role model.”
“Is it appropriate, responsible and thoughtful for a president of the United States to champion blackmail, extortion, threats, intimidation, lies, provocation and murder as the best way to do business in Washington?” Farah asks in his column today.“He’s not even the least bit self-conscious about proclaiming his admiration for a character who is rotten to the core.”
We can only imagine how much fun it is to watch TV with Farah.
You can tell a lot about people by what they watch on television.
They say you are what you eat. It’s also true that what you choose to consume with the eye says much about your soul.
It’s about how corruption is the key to getting things done in Washington.
It’s also explicitly pornographic. You won’t see a single episode that doesn’t include the most ridiculous examples of gratuitous sex, meant only to appeal to the prurient interest of voyeurs.
All that would be disturbing, given the occupant of the White House has become a public promoter of the show. But it’s much worse than that.
So I have to ask myself: What is Barack Obama doing promoting this show? Why is he giving interviews saying he wishes things could be done the way Frank Underwood does them? Is it appropriate, responsible and thoughtful for a president of the United States to champion blackmail, extortion, threats, intimidation, lies, provocation and murder as the best way to do business in Washington?
But Obama is shamelessly promoting it without any caveats whatsoever.
Worse yet, he is out there suggesting Frank Underwood – a murderer – is a role model for him.
Make no mistake about it if you haven’t watched the first season of “House of Cards”: Obama has expressed admiration for a character who is a ruthless thug – a godfather-style figure who will use any means necessary to get his way.
Of course, that character is a liberal Democrat – so it’s OK.
None of this surprises me.
Obama is not a virtuous man of character. We know that after five years in office. But he’s not even the least bit self-conscious about proclaiming his admiration for a character who is rotten to the core – a cheater, an adulterer, one who even plans and executes the murder of a fellow member of Congress.
He’s setting a great example for the nation, isn’t he? He’s really raising the bar on expectations of the next generation, isn’t he? Is he going to recommend the show to his own children, even as he publicly extols it to the entire nation without any reservations?
We’ve come a long way since George Washington, haven’t we?

oh absolutely, 12 celcius not a flake of snow on the west coast for 18 months.

they're growing olives and oranges in the open air just across the Bristol Channel from where I live, which was unheard of 5 years ago. It was possible under glass but never outside.

We have sharks and spanish man o' war jellyfish and all sorts of exotic critters turning up these days.

I found a live bee flying around in my garage only last week...

So yes, it appears that 10 years of hard science have been completely demolished by the one single current weather system affecting the only country which matters(the US) and the fact that I can walk around in shirt sleeves in Wales in early January is simply an isolated case...a fluke, of no significance. Funny how the naysayers are only quick to pounce when a Democrat is in office but march in lock step when a Republican says the same exact thing)

BUSH ADMINISTRATION LINKS EXTREME WEATHER TO GLOBAL WARMING
Droughts, heavy rain, heat waves, wildfires and intense hurricanes are more likely to affect North America because of global warming's effect on extreme weather, the Bush Administration's Climate Change Science Program said Thursday.
There's high confidence that the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events has already been influenced by global warming, and even greater confidence that more expensive, damaging and deadly weather is to come as temperatures continue to rise...

Now he must be patterning himself after Michael Scheuer, the wingnut RC posted about earlier:

|#143185
Last week, Scheuer called for the assassination of President Obama in his weekly column.

Oh yes, that’s right. He’s not a Koch-funded politician, he’s a Koch-funded PROFESSOR. Yes indeed, Scheuer’s department was one of the many at the Catholic Georgetown University to directly benefit from the Koch Brothers’ unexpected, million-dollar grant about three weeks ago.

http://aattp.org/foxs-benghazi-inquisitor-end ...

Btw, he's also declared himself to be, among other things, ex-military, ex-CIA, a millionaire, a farmer, an IT tech and a genius. That's why I call him ("I's either gonna be a brain surgeon or a fry cook") jethro.

Your assessment of his lack of character, therefore, is absolutely correct.
