it would never have happened with illegal marijuana, right?Look at just how progressive this is!
Colorado toddler hospitalized after ingesting marijuana
Published January 05, 2014 /
Days after Colorado became the first state to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, police in a town just north of Denver are investigating how a toddler was hospitalized after ingesting the drug.
CBS4 reports Aida Hernandez – the 2-year-old girl’s mother -- doesn’t know how her daughter, Evelyn, encountered marijuana, but suspects a cookie she found outside their apartment is to blame.
"Fox News Sunday" is heading to Louisville, Ky. The Teapublican Party wins 2013 'Racist of the Year' award
The votes for "Racist of the Year" for 2013 are in and the winners—who are really losers—are now enshrined in our Hall of Shame.
The Hoodie Award
Bestowed by online voters in a poll taken at Daily Kos, to the group or individual whose words and/or deeds best exemplified bigotry and the active effort to suppress and oppress people of color in the United States, in the manner exemplified by the Ku Klux Klan.
Their hoods may not be visible, but their vileness can be seen clearly by everyone who is fighting to build a country free of racism.
9147 people voted in the poll online, with more delivered via email. The Teapublican Party topped the list with 2144 votes (23%). Second place went to Rush Limbaugh (19%, 1798 votes) and a close third to Fox News with 1596 of the votes (17%).
No real surprise here.
Teapublicans are equal opportunity haters. They, and those who fund them—like the Koch Brothers—are truly an American Taliban, and just like the KKK unleashed a reign of terror in the U.S. during reconstruction and into the civil rights era, the teahadists among us and those they elect to office are as much or more of a terrorist threat to our nation than any outside forces.
Yep, teabagger CONS own racism.

Leading Republicans’ states among worst hit by jobless benefits cuts
Senior Republican senators including Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul represent some of the states most affected by the controversial cancellation of long-term unemployment benefits, according to a Guardian analysis of data released this week.
Democrats, with strong backing from the White House, are orchestrating a major push to restore the benefits, which mostly apply to people who have been searching for work for more than six months.
Four in every 1,000 people lost benefits in Kentucky, which has an 8.2% unemployment rate and is represented by McConnell, the Senate minority leader, and Paul, who like Rubio is considered a potential presidential candidate for 2016.
On Saturday, President Barack Obama used his weekly address to urge Congress to reinstate jobless benefits – specifically drawing attention to Republicans with high unemployment rates in their states.
In his remarks on Saturday, Obama said he he would sign the Reed-Heller bill if it passed.“When Congress comes back to work this week, their first order of business should be making this right,” he said.
He added:“For decades, Republicans and Democrats put partisanship and ideology aside to offer some security for job-seekers, even when the unemployment rate was lower than it is today. Instead of punishing families who can least afford it, Republicans should make it their New Year’s resolution to do the right thing, and restore this vital economic security for their constituents right now.”
Voters won't forget.

Warning! Rand Paul is Coming to a State Near You In His Push for the Presidency
Brace yourselves. Pundits are falling all over themselves with “will he or won’t he” predictions about whether the only avowed libertarian in Congress, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, will take a stab at running for president just as his dad, Ron, did on three different occasions. Covering all wing-nut bases, Rand is also a member of the Tea Party.
Rand, a doctor like his dad (Rand’s an Ophthalmologist, Ron, an Obstetrician), is almost certainly about to clutter up the candidate landscape for the White House. A radical, issue-waffling, ethics-challenged opportunist, Rand and fellow Senator, Texan, Ted Cruz, will become the de facto, Tea Party favorites. It’ll be fun to watch their once convivial political relationship slowly evaporate on the campaign trail while Christie and J. Bush watch them disappear in the Republican primary rear view mirror.
It is interesting that there is already a campaign website and slogan,“Stand with Rand.” For a guy who remains coquettish about his future aspirations. In order to get millions of names to hit up for contributions and votes, Paul is asking visitors to the site to add their names to his as he prepares to mount a phony class-action lawsuit against the National Security Agency for phone and email intrusions.
He’s also invited Internet Providers and Phone companies to join in. Since some of them are knee-deep in the so-called ‘snooping’ themselves, they may have to ask the president’s permission before signing on.
Ironically, Paul asks supporters of the proposed lawsuit to provide their email addresses.“Give me your email address so I can sue the government for having your email address.” Note that Paul is already hitting signers up for donations to support the lawsuit. I wonder if any of that money will end up in a certain campaign coffer.
What do you call an eye doctor with no vision...
“Give me your email address so I can sue the government for having your email address.”

FOX’s Benghazi Inquisitor Endorses Obama Assasination, Accuses Clinton of Murder
Michael Scheuer is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Center for Peace and Security Studies, and testified before the House Homeland Security Committee on October 9th. As a former CIA officer, Scheuer’s been in the belly of the beast for a long time, and has for just as long been spewing his own brand of right-wing rhetoric at FOX “News” viewers.
Now, he’s gone from simple “BENGHAZZIIII!!!!” enthusiast to full-on terrorist mouthpiece.
Last week, Scheuer called for the assassination of President Obama in his weekly column.
In a sense, you have to wonder why Scheuer has such deliberate hatred toward Democrats as a whole, and Obama and Clinton in particular. Surely, a distinguished professor and objective witness like he has no personal stake in divisive politics, or pandering to the right wing on FOX. There’s really no point in him riding the Benghazi horse to death, it’s not as though he’s a Koch-funded politician.
Oh yes, that’s right. He’s not a Koch-funded politician, he’s a Koch-funded PROFESSOR. Yes indeed, Scheuer’s department was one of the many at the Catholic Georgetown University to directly benefit from the Koch Brothers’ unexpected, million-dollar grant about three weeks ago.
You were speaking of treason, sir?
These people should be prosecuted. I hope the Secret Service made his life hell. IRS will get him back. hahaha

Rand Paul Planning Ridiculous Stunt, Wants to Sue Obama Administration
I’ve joked (kind of) that the motto of the Republican party really needs to be something like,“Blaming President Obama/Democrats for something we caused since January 20, 2009.” I mean, let’s face it, these are the same people who actually try to convince millions of Americans (and have been extremely successful at doing so) that somehow President Obama caused our economic collapse and our economy is actually worse now than in 2009.
Well, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul seems to be taking blaming President Obama up a notch. He’s announced his intention to sue the Obama administration over the NSA surveillance policies.
Paul announced his intentions to sue the Obama administration on Fox News (shocking, I know), and is encouraging Americans to join the lawsuit to,“stop Barack Obama’s NSA from snooping on the American people.”
While speaking with Sean Hannity, Paul claimed that every American who owns a cell phone could be eligible to join the class action lawsuit. He sees this as some kind of statement the American people can send to the government, telling them that they can’t have access to phone calls or emails without proper legal authority.
Maybe I’m wrong, but didn’t Rand Paul’s party give the NSA that very authority?
The Patriot Act, passed by President George W. Bush (you know, a Republican) and supported heavily by Republicans in Congress (though some Democrats did support the bill as well), was the leading catalyst toward these new, far more invasive NSA surveillance tactics.
Not only were Republicans the leading catalysts behind the Patriot Act’s creation, but since its passage, the majority of Republicans (and again many Democrats as well) have continued to give the government permission to participate in some of these surveillance programs that have come under intense scrutiny.
But now Rand Paul wants to act as if President Obama was the mastermind behind giving the NSA this kind of authority? Now, I’m not saying President Obama has been trying to stop them — though he has recently said that many of these programs need to be re-evaluated. But for Paul to imply that this is “Obama’s NSA” when the first president to sign the Patriot Act was a Republican and many Republicans in Congress have continued to give the NSA this kind of authority, is just blatant fear mongering on Fox News by the Kentucky senator.
The legality of the NSA’s surveillance efforts is a debate for another article. That being said, our entire government — Republicans and Democrats alike — are to blame for the power that’s been given to the NSA to behave in a manner many Americans strongly disagree with.
And this little stunt by Rand Paul is just another in a long line of pointless maneuvers the senator is clearly using to set up his probable 2016 presidential campaign.
GRANDrand has been campaigning since he got elected. Has done
NOTHING for KENTUCKY.

(CNN)-- A New York Times report on the September 11, 2012, attack that killed four Americans -- including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens -- in Benghazi, Libya, calls into question much of what Republicans accusing the Obama administration of a cover-up have said about the incident.

As President the only Law Obama has ever signed concerning guns was to allow the carry on Federal Lands and trains. I rest my case.
More anti-gun Laws have been placed on the Books by Repubs in control than ALL Dems combined.
How about the King of Repubs, R. Reagan?
As governor of California, Ronald Reagan signed the Mulford Act, which prohibited the carrying of firearms on your person, in your vehicle, and in any public place or on the street.
He also signed off on a 15-day waiting period for firearm purchases. After leaving the presidency, he supported the passage of the Brady bill that established by federal law a nationwide, uniform standard of a 7-day waiting period for the purchase of handguns to enable background checks on prospective buyers.
#143193 Jan 5, 2014
Don't rest your case so soon. It's what your messiah and his gang are doing behind the scenes with the EPA and other agencies while everyone is focused on his legacy train wreck...Obamacare. The democrat/socialist Cloward and Pivan bible warns you not to waste a crisis. I never claimed Obama would take away our guns but I did say, and still believe, that Obama will attempt to render our guns useless. Why else would Obama and the democrats/socialists want to put more laws and restrictions on law-abiding citizens and ignore the gang violence and the drug dealers? Obama knows he will lose again if a bill is brought to the floor to put more restrictions on law-abiding citizens. All of bat-shit crazy Bloomburg's money and even Obama's support base couldn't get the last bill pushed through.
You are assuming that all of us are as dumb as you but we are not dumb. Obama banked on it that his support base (people much like you) would be as dumb the second time around as they were the first time around and you morons didn't disappoint your messiah, did you? lmao
#143194 Jan 5, 2014
Yeah,actually you ARE dumb.
He presents you with FACTS ie: what has ACTUALLY happened in what we refer to as 'reality'
.... and all you have is a bunch of paranoid supposition informed by nothing of any substance then teabagging awfulization and projection.

He's pretty much been reduced to spamming.
Its interesting though not surprising to witness the sheer amount of mental decompensation the virulant teabaggers have undergone in even the last few years.
And not just a few of them.
Of course these bigots and mini-fascists couldnt have been too tightly wrapped to begin with or they wouldnt have been so succeptible to the FOX/Koch mind poison they so eagerly lapped up.
So very ironic they are the biggest herd of easy to manipulate Sheep this Nation has ever seen.
Of course I guess its always easier to project your own weakness onto others then have the balls to face yourself.
And that describes teabaggers to a 'T'.Lmao!

ANY transformation for this Nation would have been an improvment over the Depression -Bound Assberg the Republitards had turned it into through their adle-pated mis-management.Lmao!
And dont worry: Obama as well as myself SUPPORT your Constitutional Right to own a black powder muzzle loader and practice field manuevers with your Neighborhood Miltia on a every other weekend basis.
Just as our Un-Christian mostly Aethiest Founding Fathers intended.LMAO!
