Gentlemen,--The affectionate sentiment of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist Association, give me the highest satisfaction. My duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, and in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.
Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature would "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church and State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.
I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection and blessing of the common Father and Creator of man, and tender you for yourselves and your religious association, assurances of my high respect and esteem.

ahhhh well in actual fact the difficulty this woman faces is because the ACA abolishes medical underwriting, it is not allowed, forbidden, verbotten..........however the state of Alabama with its 2 Republican Senators and its 6 Republican Congressional districts representatives and its single lonely Democrat have decided to allow underwriting which pushes up premiums for those with existing conditions....so pretty much negating what the ACA was set up for.

The story is about a woman who failed to secure adequate insurance for her children from Blue Cross Blue Shield which has an 80% monopoly in Alabama.

One would think that they didn't want the ACA to work....

Then there's this:

This health insurance provider has its own political action committee, with 100% of its donations going to Republicans.

Isn't it funny how the simple minded dolts on the right take EVERYTHING at face value.

I don't speak...'Indigo'...sorry.
It is to my benefit that you keep thinking this. You were "the short bus driver" weren't you? Sadly in real life what you do best is lick windows. The times you were the driver, those dreams made you feel like the bubba, head honcho! You were the passenger outside your dream. Keep licking with wooddick. Playa, such a dumbf ucker.

Oh yes,, the Fear Mongering Rightwing Frightwing UN treaty.
Exactly which part of someone from a nation being able to ship arms to another nation without their permission do you think is a bad idea? Which part about a nation shipping to an individual in the US without approval do you find bad? The entire Treaty was to stop the flow of weapons into the hands of terrorist within a nation. What part of that do you object to?

Did you find in your research where the name Al-Qaeda came from? It was the name of the training camp setup by the CIA in Pakistan per RayGun's instructions. They were trained to fight the Russians in Afghanistan. There were no terrorist before Reagan had them trained.
Iraq had no WMDs or Islamic Terrorist before Bush sent in troops.

Thomas Jefferson
SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; DIPLOMAT; GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA; SECRETARY OF STATE; THIRD PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend all to the happiness of man.63
The practice of morality being necessary for the well being of society, He [God] has taken care to impress its precepts so indelibly on our hearts that they shall not be effaced by the subtleties of our brain. We all agree in the obligation of the moral principles of Jesus and nowhere will they be found delivered in greater purity than in His discourses.64
I am a Christian in the only sense in which He wished anyone to be: sincerely attached to His doctrines in preference to all others.65
I am a real Christian – that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ.66
The foremost tenet of Christianity is that Jesus is the son of God, which Jefferson DID NOT believe. A 'disciple of the doctrines", not the mysticism.

"Jefferson was a deist because he believed in one God, in divine providence, in the divine moral law, and in rewards and punishments after death; but did not believe in supernatural revelation. He was a Christian deist because he saw Christianity as the highest expression of natural religion and Jesus as an incomparably great moral teacher. He was not an orthodox Christian because he rejected, among other things, the doctrines that Jesus was the promised Messiah and the incarnate Son of God. Jefferson's religion is fairly typical of the American form of deism in his day."
