The U.S. establishment media in a nutshell
April 5, 2008 / http://tinyurl.com/92b2dze
In the past two weeks, the following events transpired. A Department of Justice memo, authored by John Yoo, was released which authorized torture and presidential lawbreaking. It was revealed that the Bush administration declared the Fourth Amendment of the Bill of Rights to be inapplicable to "domestic military operations" within the U.S. The U.S. Attorney General appears to have fabricated a key event leading to the 9/11 attacks and made patently false statements about surveillance laws and related lawsuits. Barack Obama went bowling in Pennsylvania and had a low score.
Here are the number of times, according to NEXIS, that various topics have been mentioned in the media over the past thirty days:

"Yoo and torture" - 102
"Mukasey and 9/11" -- 73
"Yoo and Fourth Amendment" -- 16
"Obama and bowling" -- 1,043
"Obama and Wright" -- More than 3,000 (too many to be counted)
"Obama and patriotism" - 1,607
"Clinton and Lewinsky" -- 1,079

Yes R...you're 100% correct ...same in CA...when you go to Central Los Angeles, Mexicans will ask you if you speak Spanish? No one Speaks English. Why should they, we pay somebody to translate for them. In front of Home Depot you have Mexicans asking if you need some work done? They're illegally here but if you don't pay them same as American workers, they can call 800 # straight to our Dept of Labor and report you ...
You're right, that house in Chino is about million or more ...
I forgot to add something. The "Centro Latino" help center for illegals is ran by the Catholic Church next to it and we have a democrat gov. in Shelbyville including the mayor and his top police chief which aid and abet in sheltering and protecting the rights of illegal. They also, shut down the Sentinel News (our only newspaper)blog which many citizens were able to tell each other what was going on in different areas about illegals as in the police dept. the food stamps dept, the medical dept. etc.

This made the Catholic church angry and the local latino representatives angry and when they complained about it, they shut the blog down.

This was several years ago. Just asked any Shelbyvillian on here who remembers what was going on.

Isn't this violation of the freedom of speech??

<quoted text>Damn that's bad about U of L hospital. I wonder what kind of Liberal made it a Law that all these non-insured women MUST be treated? That law has been the downfall of so many hospitals across the nation. What kind of Lib idea was it? What kind of Socialist would have done this?
.
In 1986, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act known as EMTALA (Section 1867 (a) of the Social Security Act) and sometimes referred to as the "Patient Anti-Dumping Act" was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Reagan. The purpose of the Act was to ensure that acutely ill patients who are uninsured or underinsured receive appropriate emergency care and to prevent hospitals from refusing to treat certain populations of patients who present to the emergency department,
No, don't think so.

U of L Hosp., aka University Hosp., aka Humana Hospital, aka General Hosp. has always been an indigent hospital with free care to ones who could not afford it. They have always had a contract with the city of Louisville to receive so much in tax dollars per year to treat the indigent. General Hosp. which was the city hospital has been there even before I was born and has always offered free care.

In addition to those funds, they provide Bone Marrow treatment centers, OB and Intensive Neonatal, Brown Cancer Center, Psyche Center, the #1 Emergency Care in the state, besides surgery, heart and lung care which makes them a pretty profit per year.

Of course, you must be a liberal because you have no idea what you are talking about.

I was wondering why you didn't post about Michelle Obama and how she dumped patients on the street still in their hosp. gowns so she could not only received federal funds for the indigent but received paying patients to boot.

Due to this illegal procedure M.Obama performed, she was able to double her salary.....oh, what a poor pathetic soul she is.

P.S. it was the black people she was dumping and it was the black people and their families who reported her butt.

IMHO,they should present a disclaimer before the beginning of all talk/opinion shows.'This is not
news it's for entertainment value only'.
And that's for all sides left or right.
News is news you can't say nothing about a plane crash
just report what may have caused it and how many lives were lost.
However the political pundits can distort or claim
this or that without a absolute source just someone's
speculation.
So people take 'views' as fact and all media outlets are responsible for the content.
It's not honest and should not be presented as such!
Liberal/Conservative talk shows are a money makers only...worse than
TMZ!
Confusion makes it hard to discern real news facts
they like for the audience to jump to conclusion to fast
to create division that makes people take sides on a issue like Gun control before all the real facts are disclosed.
Then no one can come to any kind of reasonable solution. It's really come to a sad situation.
SENSATIONALISM THAT'S ALL THEY'RE ABOUT!

Salon exclusive: Two former CIA officers say the president squelched top-secret intelligence, and a briefing by George Tenet, months before invading Iraq.

On Sept. 18, 2002, CIA director George Tenet briefed President Bush in the Oval Office on top-secret intelligence that Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction, according to two former senior CIA officers. Bush dismissed as worthless this information from the Iraqi foreign minister, a member of Saddam's inner circle, although it turned out to be accurate in every detail. Tenet never brought it up again.
Nor was the intelligence included in the National Intelligence Estimate of October 2002, which stated categorically that Iraq possessed WMD. No one in Congress was aware of the secret intelligence that Saddam had no WMD as the House of Representatives and the Senate voted, a week after the submission of the NIE, on the Authorization for Use of Military Force in Iraq. The information, moreover, was not circulated within the CIA among those agents involved in operations to prove whether Saddam had WMD.
