Dont no why he couldnt. The repo guy was at the wrong house. This was the third time he came to get that truck. Jackie even let him check the Vin the second time. The third time when he already knew it was the wring truck, THE REPO GUY WAS STEALING! He should have been shot! If he comes and hooks to my truck today, I'll shoot him too. And I'm a better shot than Jackie.

Grl he has my vote 2, i have knwn him and his family a long time and i think he deserves the job. And as far as the repo guy. If someone came to my house and tried to take my vehicle and it wasnt the right house or vehicle, then i guess i would have gave him a buck shot also.Next to the driveway was a sign with Tolar on it-Duh-that said it then that he was at the wrong house(if he even seen it).

Looks like everyone needs to watch the story on channel 9 again. No one deserves to be shot for doing their job. Why would Tolar not give a statement to channel 9? He knows he was an idiot.

That's my bestfriends papaw. You're not goin to make him look like a bad person because he's not. He was only protecting what was his. Anybody in their right mind wouldve defended them self too. And he didn't have to give a statement. Everbody knows the story and he wasn't goin to apologize for defending his property and I don't blame him at all.

If you are taking something you have a court order to take then it is a job. If you take something that you have no right to it is called stealing be prepared to be shot. Know your job or get a new line of work.

If it was the right truck he would have been doing his job. 3rd time he had been there and Jackie already let him check the vin prior to the time he got shot. He knew it wasnt the right truck. And the guy that got shot lied on the news. He said he didnt touch the truck. He had the wrecker hooked to Jackies truck when the sheriffs dept got there. Im sure he didnt do that after being shot. If he wasnt in the wrong (stealing it) he wouldnt have had to lie on WTVA news

maybe this repo man had never been to this address before maybe a different repoman was looking for jackie tolars truck before, and that is why he freaked out like a wild man .... if he had nothing to hide he wouldnt have anything to worry about GO FIGURE. it appears that people who form opinions about the repo profession in a negative manner need to pay thier own bills and have probably been out for repo themselves ... does this give anyone the right to shoot a meter reader when they come to turn off utilities for non payment it is the same scenario idiots......every one has a job to do and it appears that the repo man was just doing his job trying to ascertain if this was the vehicle as it obviously matched the description of what they were looking according to the news interview or they wouldnt have even stopped to attempt to verify it

If you would let someone come to your house and take what is rightfully yours, you are a fn moron. Jackie tried to get the guy to wait on the so but he said he was leavin with the truck. All he left with was a piece of lead and a lot less blood. Funny as hell to me. Better be glad it wasn't my sht he was tryin to take. He wouldt have had any use for an ambulance

WOW !!! I have been reading this garbage and from a finance company point of view I can see plainly that people in Ms don't read contracts carefully , it plainly states that a finance co can issue a repo for default on payments and the repossessor can repossess from any location the vehicle is found to be or thought to be once verified it is the correct unit. It appears according to what I have read that this particular repo man is a victim of circumstance, having found a truck matching the description seemingly in the area of the given address which is legal and stated in all contracts , and happened across a lunatic with a gun(trying to be professional about this but only a lunatic would shoot an unarmed person )repo man or not. what does the shooter really have to hide?? like I have read in previous forums .... maybe he knew his truck was in default or close to repossession status himself .

You must be the original debtor or closely related to the original debtor or the shooter

Call me crazy, but I thought the only legitimate reason for shooting another human being was if you have strong reason to believe your life is in danger from that human. And I know appearances can be deceiving, but he (Tolar) is sure one mean looking dude. What relation is he to our sheriff?

none of the above. the bottom lime is his truck was paid for, the repo man hooked his wrecker to it without checking the vin, he would not wait on a deputy to get there, and on top of that he told jackie he guessed he would have to shoot him. only an idiot would tell that to a man with a gun. better not ever try to take something i bought and paid for
