The word "Democracy" is not in the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights. Even the Pledge of Allegiance is "to the Republic for which it stands."

A Democracy gives us the principles of majority rules and frequent elections with options, but little more. It does not protect us from the government.

A Republic includes frequent elections with options. It also gives place to majority rules, but only to a point - the majority is not always right. A Republic is also based upon natural unalienable rights that come from a source higher than man (for example life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.)

Minority rights are protected from the majority in a Republic. A lynch mob is Democracy. Everyone voted but the man being lynched. A Republic rescues this man gives him a fair trial with a bona fide judge and witnesses for his defense.

In a Republic there is an emphasis on individual differences rather than absolute equality. Such individual differences are seen as a strength in a Republic rather than as a flaw under Democracy, which equates sameness as equality.

Limited government is also a major aspect of a Republic. The government is handcuffed from dominating our lives.

The Founders created a Republic, not a Democracy.

I read that and it brought tears to my eyes. I almost posted it , but I didn't want the heartless Posters to make fun of the Man or the Story.
You just have to remember that there are Murderous Thugs of ALL Races in this Country and around the World. I don't think that anything enters their Minds about Politics or anything else , other than criminal acts. Nor do I think it is confined the Black Race or any other Race.
That Elderly Vet was just an easy target of convenience for them. I seriously doubt that it would have been any different, if he had been a Woman, or a Child, or any Race.
I hope they are caught...or killed, and I really don't care which it is. Actually, I would prefer it being "killed" if they die a slow, agonizingly painful death!
God forgive me, but that's what I want!

That's the biggest problem that TEA Baggers have...EVERYTHING is either BLACK or WHITE in their way of thinking. They simply have no ability to recognize or understand that there is a GRAY area in everything and everybody, and every Issue!
THAT is what a Democracy and Democrats recognize and understand, but not TEA Party Advocates. Even Republicans recognize and understand that to a less degree than Democrats, but still they DO recognize and understand it, but TEA Party Advocates absolutely do NOT...unless it's about them and what they want and then, anything goes and EVERYTHING is allowed!
Be honest...how many times have you TEA Baggers highly criticized Others for doing the very same thing you, yourselves, have done...or worse?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that many conservatives have heard the term "Socialist" used so often as a generic disparaging adjective that it has lost its actual meaning -- "I hate Brussel Sprouts, they taste so Socialist."
Lol! Kinda like the word, "Libtard". I've been called that so much, I decided to embrace it and use it...even though I'm not a true Liberal on every issue.

I really like Bernie Sanders' views, for the most part, so I think I'll embrace the word "Socialist" and use it, too.

But, if you call me a TEApublican or a political TEA Bagger...well, them thar's Fightin' Words, in my book!

Let me put it in a way that MAYBE you can understand. If you're car's transmission goes out on the Interstate, what's it going to cost you in dollars and cents?
A Towing bill at the most, right?

But, when you have to fix that transmission or buy a new one , it's going to cost you a whole lot more!

That's what happened when Bush tanked our Economy and Obama had to try and fix it!

It always cost much more to repair something than it costs when you broke it!

I'm appreciative of much of your sentiment here, but I will not attempt to distance known facts in this case from the deep wells of race-baiting free-flowing from many quarters, including the White House! I wonder which one of these young men might look like the President's hypothetical son this time? I grieve for our fallen man of valor who apparently suffered and died in complete innocence. While I also grieve for the destroyed and wasted lives of these vicious offenders, My anger lies with the cultural intelligentsia creating eruptive powers of racism and class-warfare soon to be witnessed in America. This incident, and more to come, rests squarely on the shoulders of heartless merchants of victimhood and growing political race-baiting! These are those with blood on their hands!

The conservatives took a box, put a grenade in it, pulled the pin, took a picture of the box, handed the box to Obama, then ran for cover and proceeded to ridicule the condition of "Obama's box" a few seconds later.

Barry said his stimulus package, if passed,(and it did) would lower the unemployment rate to 5% by the end of his first term. He said this 73 times in his numerous speeches. Trillions of wasted dollars later, we have nothing.

Anti-gun nuts have called for "Skip Starbucks Saturday" this weekend a nationwide boycott on Aug. 24, to pressure the coffee giant to amend its current policy, which allows customers to carry loaded guns into Starbucks stores where permitted by state law.

I don't think I've ever seen a hippie in a Starbucks location. I've only seen lots of "paying" customers. I can't answer your question regarding how many conservatives might be there for your photo shoot, but I suggest you get there after working hours or you'll only capture liberals! I don't wish to demean Chucky's big adventure here, but I won't have you wasting time that you haven't already. While there, why don't you fill out an application for employment? Please..get help so it doesn't look anything like one of your stupid posts! You might take Tired with you as well. If you both agree to work for only one person's salary (minimum wage) you two just might stand a chance! BTW, don't let Tired say anything to the manager!
LOL - I see you didn't disappoint on the predicted full day on topix, yet you tell someone else to find employment. If nothing else, you are good for an occasional laugh little willie.
