A country that is unwilling or unable to see to it that it's own citizens have food to eat, a warm place to sleep and the ability to visit a doctor when they are sick isn't much of a country...democratic or undemocratic. That goes for those who are Republicans, Democrats, Independants and those who never exercise their right to vote, and believe me there are plenty of all of them who are currently availing themselves of the social safety net.
Gotta go...talk to you later and have a good day.

I look at the difference between SSI and welfare like this. SSI is supposed to help those who have been dealt a bad hand in life thru no fault of their own and cannot help themselves. I have no problem helping them.

Welfare, for the most part, is designed to help people who made bad choices, or are just too lazy to help themselves. I do have a problem here because we are not helping them, we are only enabling then.

But, you can try to limit the damage Others can do by making it hard for them to have access to ways of doing their damage and that all these Gun Control Proposals will do...limit their access, somewhat. It won't really keep you from having your Gun Rights, but it might slow them down alittle. And to me, that's better than doing nothing or too much, like banning Guns for everybody! I just see it as a small price to pay, if it will save even one innocent Person's Life, even a Teapublican's.
Well, that might depend on which Teapublican it is. Lol!
So you say no one should have guns but you?

<quoted text>OH NO !! More "indoctrination by repetitiveness" "Willard" ? Chuckles !!
I leave the "repetitive indoctrination" to those wishing to "fundamentally change" America! I know it's an enormous undertaking and I applaud your commitment! Myself, I prefer honesty and the truth of history. I also prefer a government which affords personal freedom, freedom of religion, the free pursuit of happines and the American dream! I also prefer the protections from tyranny and dictatorial power expressed in our Constitution.

Most readers will themselves determine the truthfulness of your claim, and will decide who the "repetitive indoctrination" voices really are! Leftists (socialist and marxists) will attempt to demonize Americans directly engaged in promoting industry and commerce, at least to the satisfaction of the stupid. They're very easy to recognize and "repetitively" echo these subversive ideas:

Business owners are all inherently selfish

Capitalism isn't working - socialism is better

Class warfare is good for America

Corporations are all inherently greedy

Profit is evil

abstinence from welfare is "elitist"

National fiscal solvency isn't really necessary

American government can operate without "budgets"

Government must micro-manage every aspect of society

Tea-party conservatives should be annihilated

Population control by abortion (murder) is honorable

the destruction of the U.S. Constitution is necessary

Last, but not least - Willard must be demonized because he pulls the mask off socialist activists masquarading as "folksy" personalities looking for good old political discussion, building a platform for deceptive socialist propaganda.

I encourage all to take a look at the face of this well organized global movement.

There are a lot of people that's been dealt a bad hand in life, but that's no excuse for not working.A disabled person can draw a check and still allied to make $800a month without losing their check. The majority of these people you are speaking of will never go to work if they are handed a check

Intel was withheld, does the name Valerie Plame ring a bell?
American values were undermined by Dick Cheney.
Cheney shut down a whole C.I.A. Operation in Africa. No one will ever know how many informants could of been killed because they had ties to this operation.
That poison gas you speak of was given to Saddam, courtesy of Rumsfield back in 1983.
History is already judging that war, just look at all of the bombs going off almost everyday in Iraq, and I'm not talking about "pressure cooker" bombs, I'm talking huge military ordinance type.

And I disagreed with Pelosi, Reid and the Democrats....just as I have on occasion disagreed with Barack Obama. I submit that her initial support for the Iraq war cost Hillary Clinton the nomination and the 2008 election. By then the majority of THINKING Americans came to understand that there was imminent danger, to us hence no reason to remove Saddam.
If the criteria for the USA invading foreign countries, is their desire to obtain WMD, we would be at war with dozens of countries now.

You meanie! You would rather let them starve? We should support all of those who don't care to work. We should send them money, food, cars, insurance, and take care of their every need. They are citizens too.

So get to work! And work harder! There's alot of people watching Judge Judy and Law and Order right now that are depending on you to feed, clothe and house them. They NEED these things, so you better start providing more.

Prior to capitalism, the way people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man.

Now the government is amassing great wealth by looting, plundering and enslaving the capitalists.

And when they're done with the capitalists, they'll be coming for the middle class.

Yup , Linda and her ilk will not be happy until they confiscate all of the wealth from the evil super wealth and corporations. They will never accomplish this without disarming the people. After they get all they can there, then it will be on down the ladder to the next income level and so on until everyone in thus country is totally dependent on Government for everything. Finally, with no where else to turn for income, the Government will be bankrupt.
