Ted Cruz ?

Really ?

Ted Cruz ?

Seriously ?

Here are just five of the most revealing windows into Cruz’ Tea Party worldview:

1) Ted Cruz published an article on his campaign website claiming that this non-binding document is actually a nefarious plot to “abolish ‘unsustainable’ environments, including golf courses, grazing pastures, and paved roads.”

2) Ted Cruz Wants To Gut Social Security: In an interview with the Texas Tribune Cruz outlined his plan to gut this essential program.

Cruz would raise the Social Security retirement age, cut future benefits, and implement a George W. Bush-style plan to privatize much of the program.

Had Social Security been privatized during the career of a worker who retired near the end of the Bush Administration, that worker would have retired with less money in their privatized account than they would have if they’d simply kept their money between their mattress and box spring.

3) Ted Cruz Wants To Party Like It’s 1829: The Constitution provides that Acts of Congress “shall be the supreme law of the land,” and thus cannot be nullified by rogue state lawmakers. Cruz, however, co-authored an unconstitutional proposal claiming the states could simply ignore the Constitution’s command and nullify the Affordable Care Act.

Of course, he's completely wrong, and either too crazy to know it, or just doesn't care.

4) Ted Cruz Is An Islamophobe: At a campaign event earlier this month, Cruz touted another of the Tea Party’s favorite conspiracy theories, claiming that “Sharia law is an enormous problem” in this country.

Although it is common for far right politicians to claim that American law is somehow being replaced with Islamic law, these claims have absolutely no basis in reality. Only a very few courts have ever even mentioned Sharia or Islamic law, and those that have were required to because the parties by contract, referred to the Sharia law.

5) Ted Cruz Campaigned On How He Helped Texas Kill A Mexican:

According to the Cruz' campaign ad,“Cruz fought all the way to the Supreme Court” after “the UN and World Court overruled a Texas jury’s verdict to execute an illegal alien.”

In reality, the case had nothing to do with whether Texas had the authority to kill this man. Rather, it concerned whether Texas could defy a treaty requiring it to inform foreign nationals who are arrested of their right “to request assistance from the consul of his own state.”

Even North Korea honored this treaty that Cruz fought to undermine. Imagine, North Korea's Right Wing Wackos have more respect for the rule of law than Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz - Right Wing Wacko on steroids.

JUSTICE FOR TRAVON!
Please.

Get a grip on reality.

There is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, "Justice", or "Equality".

Laws are political creations created by the rich and powerful to stay rich and powerful.

As a captain once said to us:

Go into the projects and arrest 5 kids in a car for pot found under the front seat, and we get credit for felony arrests, we get a free car, and we justify more drug enforcement positions.

Go into the million dollar mansions and arrest a millionaire for holding a little powder, and we get one felony arrest, we don't get to seize any assets, and the politicians bombed with complaints we are over-staffed.

Guess who gets arrested.

We criminalize drugs and concentrate on street level purchasers because they are "low hanging fruit" and don't have the resources to fight back.

Unless we electrify the fence on the border it's useless and a waste of money. We need troops on the border.(IMO) I still like Gen. lee's Idea about building a canal along the border. It sounds crazy, but it would work, create jobs, and create residual revenue for OUR government. The fence in place now is a joke. Check it out.

<quoted text>Doesn't your hatred and bitterness toward America ever wear you out? You are so anti-America, I would think you would relocate to a country that is steeped in socialism and has been for years.
Your wealth evny(never mind that you are a money grubbing union thug) is eating you alive. I bet Detroit is thanking you union thugs.
Nice try.

Others might stand by while you whiny parasitic hypocritical Right Wing Wackos who hate everything America stands for slurp up my tax dollars and them claim anyone who lives in reality.

As to wealth envy :

Yea, I'm just back from the Cabin in Union County,(that costs me over $4,000 a year in property taxes- say thanks), the other cabin is owned by a corporation and so that doesn't really count; I'm sitting on the patio at our Naples home on the water, watching the kids in the pool; enjoying an Arturo Fuente Hemingway Classic and Maker's 46 (chilled), with my feet up watching golf planning a free trip to Medellin, Columbia sponsored by a construction group down there, waiting for my neighbor to come over to cool steaks on the grill.

Yea.... I'm just the guy to have "wealth envy".

Wait...Maybe you're right, I did learn that since my wife used up the vision allotment for eyeglasses this year, I had to pay $48.00 toward my new prescription sunglasses.

Damn... That just ain't fair.

As to "hating" America:

For someone who "hates" America, I sure served my country and community well over the 40 years I've been either in the Marines, continuously employed, or owned business employing others.

But, no doubt you have credentials that demonstrate, in comparison to you, my service has been pathetically little.

Now go ask the nice doctor for an increase in your Thorazine,(don't worry, we taxpayers provide it), and waddle back to your room,(don't worry we taxpayers provide it), and eat some more Cheetos,(don't worry we taxpayers provide them), and pontificates some more about how much Right Wingers suffer whenever asked to pay their own way.

Something to think about - in the real world, those that love their country, business, or family, don't ignore obvious problems - they acknowledge them and try to fix them.

I apologize if it was a little too vehement, but, I just feel that, for too long, we have allowed the Right Wing Wackos to claim they are "more" American than the normal folks who make up the other 95% of the country.

At least to me, Right Wing Wackos pose more danger to our Constitution than any other threat, and the Constitution is the only thing that makes America better than any other country.

Damn golf - it's so slow there's way too much time to play on TOPIX.

Good point.

You are right.

I stand corrected.

If Cruz wants to deport illegals - he's right.

If Cruz wants to imprison those who employee illegal aliens - he's right.

If Cruz doesn't want to imprison employers who hire illegals - he's just pretending to care.
