Great Post.
I apologize.
I forgot that on Right Wing Wacko Planet there is no such thing as history - how can RWWs be accountable for things that never occurred on their planet ?
I keep forgetting that when RWWs were in charge under Ronne Ray-Gun, it was "Morning in America."
Rau-Gun took the solar panels off the White House to show that we didn't need to worry about alternative energy sources or conservation - the Arabs were our business buddies.
He armed Al Queda and other Right Wing Muslims because after all, everyone knew that crazed Muslim Terrorists who were our version of the Christian Taliban could always be trusted.
He imported cocaine using the CIA and Noriega because, after all, if you can be an illegal arms dealer to fund the overthrow of elected governments, why can't you be an illegal drug dealer too ?
Ray-Gun tripled the national debt because after all, if you bankrupt the country pretending to invent "Star Wars" laser missile defense programs, the military-industrial complex make billions - and as Cheney taught us - budget deficits and debt don't matter if RWWs create them.
Ray-Gun shredded the Constitution so badly that even down here it wouldn't qualify as decent toilet paper.
Damn... if only Right Wing Wacko Planet had a concept called "History" - America wouldn't be subjected to their destructive efforts every other decade or so.
Post of the week, post of the month- maybe the greatest post ever !!!

There is no such thing as a Christian taliban. So I'd have to disagree.

I really do not know exactly what he means by "Christian Taliban"- but I do suspect that he may be referring to old crusaders or the new ones(Dub Bush wars)

Apparently there is more than one definition, and Black Liberation Theology fits the bill as well as any other Theology. Since it is humans who are taking part in the study of God's realtionship to the universe, and since it is humans who are developing the system that describes this relationship, then there is no re-difinition when Cones writes:
"Theology is not universal language about God. Rather, it is human speech informed by historical and theological traditions, and written for particular times and places. Theology is contextual language - that is, defined by the human situation that gives birth to it. No one can write theology for all times, places, and persons."
It is not surprising that you find this unfathomable, I suspect that you wouldn't like the work of Joseph Campbell either.
theology
- The study of the nature of God and religious belief.
- Religious beliefs and theory when systematically developed: "Christian theology".
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/theolo...
- the field of study and analysis that treats of God and of God's attributes and relations to the universe; study of divine things or religious truth; divinity.
- a particular form, system, branch, or course of this study.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/the...
- the study of religious faith, practice, and experience; especially : the study of God and of God's relation to the world
- a theological theory or system <Thomist theology> <a theology of atonement>
- a distinctive body of theological opinion <Catholic theology>
- a usually 4-year course of specialized religious training in a Roman Catholic major seminary
Congratulations, you posted more definitions of what "theology" is. If you cannot read those definitions and then read Cone's "reimagining" of what theology is, and see the difference, there really is no point in continuing this.
"study of the nature of God"
"study...of God's attributes and relations to the universe"
"study of God and God's relation to the world"
These recognize that God is unchanging and that the nature of God is NOT dependent on the historical context.

Just how does Cone's redefinition that God must be interpreted with historical and theological traditions and CANNOT be written for "all times, places and persons" possibly "fit" into those definitions. The sheer arrogance of Cone's pronouncement is jaw dropping. Obviously, you are determined not to recognize the difference - fine, feel free. May we please drop this. It is pointless.

Something that is never mentioned about all this so called immigration. It could split the country into two countries. Makes sense to me. Give this article a quick read.

I swear that this Snowden thing is beginning to look like it is set up to take the wind out of the sails of the investigations of all the Obama Administration scandals. Nothing is being said about us being spied on. Nothing about the IRS. Nothing about the AP investigation. Nothing about Benghazi or fast and furious from the news media. Nothing being said about Syria. Here watch this hand and pay no attention to what the other hand is doing.

1) Does obamacare solve our healthcare concerns? Depends on what your concerns are.\\ANSWER, My concern of losing health care coverage because of pre-existing has been SOLVED. My concern every time I am in any emergency room in the country is WHY do all those other folks get service for free, and I have to give them my credit card, SOLVED, everyone pays something. My concern that being self employed makes me a gravy train for big Health Insurance companies and there is nothing I can do, solved.
2. Seems like more fence, money for more guards is what you whackos have been after, that's what they want to do. And give people who have lived worked, raised children and paid taxes here a path to citizenship. Problem solved over time, something that has never happened before.
2) Does the senate "gang of eight" immigration bill solve our immigration concerns?
Now a question for you, is all you have is questions?? No answers??
For several posts today, while most of us were working you want to know why someone hasn't answered some question you ask. Don't bother to say what question, you ask so many its hard to know. I have given you my answer to your question. Several pages ago I ask you a couple of questions, NO answers. So take this time to answer just one. How has the EPA not saved our lakes and rivers to continue the supply of clean water. If you don't know just say so, we already know that.
The questions I have asked only require a yes or no definitive response. Try again to answer the questions.

With regards to your question, there is a place for the EPA. I'll expand, their top priority should be working to get the rest of the world caught up to our standards.

Without the EPA we would have very little clean water left in this country. Give me a FACT that supports any other conclusion, you won't find one, maybe on some whacko web site but they don't count.
And without the Federal Reserve and its actions we would all be out of a JOB, not just you.
Where in the Constitutional is the requirement for a photo ID?? Funny how the Constitution is only quoted when it suits your agenda. Photo ID is a knee jerk reaction to conservative's losing again and looking for someone to blame. So its a new villain, a huge group of illegal voters, hogwash. It was the policies of the candidates and the party. Want to do something about fair elections. Do away with redistricting, that should have been made illegal long ago. If a party, either party wants to keep seats, it just redraws the lines to make it happen.
You people need to get over ObamaCare, it hasn't even been implemented and its a huge disaster, how can that be? It
was passed by Congress like every other law, move on.
First of all, I simply offered you a hypothetical deal, no need to get your panties in a wad. Second of all, my working days are over, early retirement, and don't need obamacare. Can't get more blessed than that. Third, photo ID is the least of your problems, the day will come when you wish it was in the constitution, and the same with voting districts. Here is another deal for you, let's never again change a boundary that affects Fulton, DeKalb, or Clayton counties. In fact, you might be on to something there. Yes obamacare was passed by Congress, and it can be repealed by Congress, as well as amended by Congress. let's hope it does, that is, after Congress reads it at the very least. Don't you find it strange that something that is so good for you, is not good for the Unions, or Government Employees?
