Seriously, dude. I guess education should be only for the rich who can afford it, and big business should be allowed to pollute and destroy just for profits. Bow down to your god of capitalism.
Seriously, Dude. The government run education of this country is HORRENDOUS.
The EPA is a bunch of people who throw their power around, create calamities just to make brainwashed liberals think they are important and make it nearly impossible for companies to function.
The government can't run a hairdryer and you libs want to give them more and more power. Everything you libs touch turns into debauchery.

Well, you certainly are proof that the American education system has failed, not the least in terms of critical thinking.

Nope

Nobody notices - except anyone with an IQ above a carrot.

Now go make up some more silliness to try to hide the fact freeloading Right Wing deadbeats can't stand to pay their own medical bills.

Hey...

Oh.... Those pesky facts .... How Right Wingers hate reality and facts.

Perhaps you haven't noticed but since the EPA was created our cities are not covered with smog so horrendous people couldn't breath. I'm old enough to remember that.

Perhaps you noticed in the Olympic Games in China, where there is no EPA, the air is so polluted elderly and sick people are required to remain indoors, those who are outside wear masks to filter the pollution from the air they breath, and athletes avoided coming to China until the last minute to avoid having to breath the air.

Perhaps you haven't noticed that since the EPA was created the forests aren't being destroyed by Acid Rain falling from the skies.

Perhaps you haven't noticed that since the EPA was created the rivers aren't so polluted they catch fire and burn.

And perhaps you haven't noticed that under EPA regulations companies profits have exploded to a point profits are higher than ever before in modern history.

Kind hard to say the EPA prevents companies from making a profit when companies profits are higher than ever before isn't it.

Right Wingers have no problem with government regulating what Right Wingers want regulated.

Right Wingers want the government to regulate who gives birth and who doesn't and that's fine ?

Right Wingers want the government to decide who gets secretly assassinated and who doesn't, and that's fine ?

Right Wingers want the government to provide medical care for millions of veterans, and that's OK ?

Right Wingers want the government to decide whether someone can grow a bush and smoke it ?

Right Wingers want the government to decide who gets spied on and how much, but that's OK ?

Right Wingers want the government to decide who can marry who, and that's OK ?

Right Wingers want government to decide what countries get bombed, invaded and occupied, and that's OK ?

Right Wingers want the government to provide Social Security and Medicare for millions of the elderly, and that's OK ?

Yep... Right Wing selfish greed and self-defeating thought in practice.

God have us the Earth to pollute and destroy so companies and explode their profits even higher,(although they're already at record high levels), and screw our kids, let 'em breath carcinogens and die early.

Jeez.... Right Wingers truly worship private profit above anything else, including their responsibility to pass on a clean world to the own children.

The Dow hit another record high. So where are all the jobs?
by thereisnospoon
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/10/30/1251...

The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit another record high yesterday, closing at a nosebleed-worthy 15,680.35. This isn't exactly a surprise, given that corporate profits are at or near record highs and still growing strongly.

So where are all the jobs?

The entire economic battle between the left and right is about supply and demand. The right believes that if you boost the supply side the economy will grow and people will thrive. The left believes that the best way to economic prosperity is through boosting demand. The right says that if you cut taxes on corporations and the wealthy while cutting regulations, business will make more money which it can spend on investing in new products and new markets, thereby creating jobs. The left says that doing so will only put more money into the pockets of a few while generating no job growth, whereas boosting wages will grow middle-class consumer demand, thus creating the desire and capacity for new product purchases that companies will then deliver.

It's a simple debate. It's also one in which the media refuses to take sides, pretending that the answer is an elusive and ineffable mystery. This economic debate is considered a matter of opinion rather than of fact.

And yet, we have facts that are startlingly obvious and help us easily determine the victor in this battle of ideas.

It is a fact that taxes on the wealthy are at near historic lows, and that the share of the wealth controlled by the rich is at historic highs. It is a fact that corporate profits are at record highs, as is the stock market. Business, and big business in particular, is doing very, very well. Yet unemployment remains high, wages are stagnant, economic mobility is weak and the middle class is shrinking. Corporations are sitting on vast accumulated wealth, but are not investing that wealth in human capital that advances broad-based prosperity.

We do, on the other hand, have plenty of evidence that high levels of income inequality are very damaging to an economy. We have plenty of evidence that corporations are unwilling to invest in new products because they're not certain that consumers will be able to afford them. Moreover, we know that unemployment was lower and the nation more prosperous when taxes on the wealthy were higher, when regulations on Wall Street were more stringent, and when organized labor was more powerful.

The argument should by all rights be over. Much as in other areas of scientific debate, conservatives have plainly lost this argument in the realm of fact, and have resorted to restating ideological opinions in the hope that repetition will become accepted truth....

You know I'm right about the political system of our country being a failure. I love my country, and the folks in it, but I just don't think a divided system of political parties has done any of us any good. That is my whole point. I find nothing you say, in any way stupid, but bashing me because I tell the truth is not relevant to anything. Go hit golf balls. And don;t aim for the guy on the tractor, because I've done that job at one point in my life, and some of us are of the sort that will get out of the caged cab and walk right up to you asking why you intentionally tried to hit us.
Huh?

Actually, I don't think I've responded to any of your posts, as I don't think I've read any of them (other than this one)...

Legal? Sure. Moral? Bad for our economy? Abusing the system?
I think most of us who have any morals know the answer to those questions.
The abuse is that the corporate tax rate is as high as it is in this country. Drop the rate and watch the flood of cash come back to this country. By the way, it's GE's money do with what they will, not mine or yours.

I wonder where UGA, GA Tech and even Young Harris College be without those evil corporations? Or how about the matching funds programs that many companies offer? Let's make sure we inflict as much damage as possible on those evil corporations and close the colleges.
I wonder who benefits from the stock market going up? Could it be every person with a retirement account or public pension funds? For prices to go up on the markets there must be a transaction, purchase and sale. If profits are derived are they not taxed?
I'm no fan of large corporations or of Wall Street.

If you don't know the difference is abusing the system and breaking the law you need help. G.E. for example may not have "broken the law" by not paying taxes last year, but they sure did abuse the system.
Just because the rich / corporations can pay lobbyists to get laws favorable to them doesn't mean they're not abusing the system.
They're not.

The only way a business can make a decent profit is to find a way around the Government. With that in mind, lets get the Federal Government out of the way. Let the local Government take care of education, and since GOD created the earth and can destroy it anytime he sees fit, lets let God control the thermostat. You should believe in less government, states rights, personal liberty and free markets and hold our leaders to the constitution that our founding fathers gave up so much for to provide us laws that would forever keep us free and assure that hard working people could climb the ladder of success. Christian people will help people that help their selves
. The Federal Government should not take a persons money except to build the strongest defense system in the world to defend our great nation. Stay out of every thing else.

Thanks for your honesty.
You have scared the hell out of all rational Americans who don't want the Christian Taliban to take over America.
Nothing could do more to identify why the greatest danger to our democracy and our Constitution are Right Wing Wackos convinced they not only know God, but they insist God wants them to rule over those who disagree.
No.
As an American:
- I don't want your version of "God" in our schools;
- I want people and businesses taxed to pay for government;
- I want unions powerful enough to bargain on equal footing with big businesses;
- I don't want children and the elderly who can't work to starve to death;
- I don't care if Sue marries Wilma - ain't none of my business;
- I don't care who sleeps with who - ain't none of my business;
- I don't care if you grow a bush and smoke it - ain't none of my business;
- Social Security and Medicare ate socialist programs from top to bottom - and that's fine with me;
- I want more public education, not less, America already suffers from to many ignorant, uneducated, Right Wing fanatical idiots;
- Schools don't indoctrinate homosexuality, except in the minds of Right Wing Wackos;
- I want the EPA more powerful, my kids deserve to inherit an Earth capable of supporting human life, and hopefully cleaner and more beautiful than we inherited;
- I want free college educations for everyone because college educated people are more productive, pay more taxes, and commit fewer crimes;
- I want the federal government controlling education because people like you are on local school boards;
Just substitute "Allah" for "God", and "Quran" for the "Bible", and you'll see who your kindred brothers are.
The good news is, most of America agrees with me - so I win.

Good post.....
The libroids would rather sponge than work...
The libroids would rather create havoc than compromise.
The libroids would rather allow little Janie and little Bobby be controlled by the Education system than their parents.
The liborids would rather allow illegal immigrants than to abide by the laws.
The libroids would rather break the laws they dont like, and ofrce everyone else to abide by the laws they support.

The libroids are heavily sedated by the Obama aura.
