Interesting phrase you use there Downer ...
"and get better quality items made."

Interesting indeed.

Well, here's the thing about the free market and capitalism...they depend on HONEST AND ETHICAL corporate leaders. The past few years have shown that CEO's are GREEDY and CORRUPT!
...
NOW ... reread what you wrote there.

You see, HERE's the thing Nancy, it is not, even by your own admission and words right there, the system that is the problem.

Would it not be far better and more prudent and intelligent to save the system, which works, and replace the people with some ethical folks?

Why should I reread what I wrote? I know damn well what I wrote! The word "admission" is a weasel word. I didn't "admit" to anything. I made an observation. Nice try. Here's my entire post...

I guess you've been asleep...the system ISN'T WORKING. Why is it you ignore my other posts where I have spelled all this out?

Here..reply to this..

So, where are you going to find moral and ethical people? That's what we thought Obama was. Do you still think we have a two party system in this country? We don't! Politicians are put there to make you THINK you have a choice. YOU DON'T! Have you learned nothing in the past 10 years?

LOL...I'll lay odds I'm old enough to be your GRANDPARENT. My observations and opinions are made with about 50 years of political experience.

Now it is my turn to say thank you ,I am a grandparent to many. However I just got wiser than some on this post with aging. I saw all of my liberal ideas simply not working and started to read and learn why. I agree with the poster that expressed ,destroying the whole system just to get rid of the bad apples does not make any sense. To suggest destroying a priceless piece of crystal to remove a rotting piece of candy, which is what many suggest,is not very mature.

Just WHO is this "we" you mention that "we thought Obama was" ethical?
It sure as hell was not me. Please avoid lumping folks into your own mistakes and failures, when all you fools that voted for him failed to see who and what he was. I tried like hell to warn folks since even before he was granted position over Hillary in that infamous backroom meeting that appeared to shaft her when she was leading in the primary polls.

Show me where I said one damn word about us having a two party system.
You can not do so, as I have remained steadfast in my position that BOTH parties sold us out.

To paraphrase John Adams, "Had you said something that I deemed important enough to comment on, rest assured I would have already done so.
<smile>

There is ONLY one candidate who stands above the rest, and that is RON PAUL.

Yes, he is registered as a republican. He is registered that way because he will NOT be granted entry into the debates as a third party candidate.
He is now up with the so called "top tier" in Iowa and only one point behind Cain ... who will fall like autumn leaves real soon.

VOTE for RON PAUL.

Now ... if you had said real life in the private sector experience, instead of "political experience" ...

Your "observations and opinions" are clearly politically motivated, and quite frankly, downright treasonous to the American people and their founding principles.

And by your own words elsewhere in these posts, you are proud of your observations and opinions and deem yourself wise from 50 years in politics.
Your "observation" was spot on about the corruption of the leadership in many large corporations being a root cause of our economic woes.
The conclusion you drew from that accurate observation is mind boggling and beyond the pale however.
If it IS in fact the fault of PERSONS that are corrupt, it stands to reason in any arena, that it is in fact ONLY the offending parts of the whole that needs removed or replaced ... not the whole being thrown out, as you propose.
A system can NOT be corrupt. Corruption is a human element and environ. Corruption is an action of a human(s), not a state of being of an inanimate thing.
There are corporations out there who are lead by honorable and ethical people Nancy and you know it. That simple fact proves your conclusion inaccurate.
Your conclusion that our free market system needs thrown to the wolves, is not only flat wrong and innacurate, it is treasonous preaching in my country.
