When it came time for me to buy a new car, I trusted Consumer Reports and bought a Camry. It's really easy to say "buy American" until it's your own money at stake.

Turns out it was the best financial decision I ever made.

Not Again: Toyota Recalls 2010 Lexus GX 460 SUVs

WASHINGTON -- Toyota says it will recall its 2010 Lexus GX 460 to address a potential problem with the SUV's stability control system that targets possible rollovers.

The recall affects about 9,400 vehicles that have been sold since the SUV went on sale in late December. Consumer Reports issued a "Don't Buy" warning last week on the 2010 GX 460, saying it was susceptible to rolling over.

Toyota says dealers will update software in the vehicle stability control system.

This is the problem, auto makers are using software to control stability, acceleration and brakes. Software can become corrupt.

All three of these should be purely mechanical.

The Republic Party suckers buy into the Cheney high gas prices. Let them drive their SUVs, helping to make us dependent on Moslem oil countries. They refuse to drive economical cars on some weird ideological ground that the Republic Party operatives tell them.

Saturn made a good car. Honda is perhaps #1.
I would buy a Toyota in a second. Matter of fact, I am looking now for a Toyota truck. But dealers have them priced $1000,'s above even NADA ( banks-dealers) prices.

Here is a great place to buy a vehicle. I have bought 3 from them. They currently have a Toyota truck.
