Coburn is an obnoxious ass, but he hasn't got a patch on Inhofe, who at this very moment is likely doing his level best to figure out how to get the most profit out of this tragedy.
They're both deserving of rides out of town on a rail, following a long period involving tar, and feathers...

Does any state have a WORSE pair of Senators than Coburn and Inhofe? Jesus, they need to start psychological testing on candidates for office out there....and maybe the voters, too.

I say the Dems should call his bluff this time, fine, no Aid for Oklahoma, we're fine with it as long as their Senator is.

No offset, no Aid, just fine.

I want to see Republican scumbags like Coburn
and Inhofe (Oklahoma senators) crawl on their
bony Republican knees and kiss Obama's cajones
before they get one dime in federal (socialist)
moneys.

Offsets? They need to offset their senate
salaries since, like most Republicans, they are completely useless to this nation.

Filth!

It's tempting, but we shouldn't penalize the people because of idiotic actions by their idiotic "leaders."

I wouldn't expect to, when faced with reality, they would all crumble. Like I said, just calling the bluff that they would not carry through with.

See, it's a choice, Coburn wants to make someone else suffer with less so that his constituants can have something, well, no thank you, other citizens will not be getting something cut, now, do you want to help your State or not becomes the quesion.

If Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) insist that any federal aid to deal with the tornado in his home state must be offset by budget cuts, let his bloated salary be the first budget item to get the ax.

Why on earth would the good people of Oklahoma want to elect someone like Coburn in the first place? When will they learn that Democrats man the party of human compassion? Did Coburn really win an election or was he shooed in by notorious Republican strategies like gerrymandering or voter registration fraud?

Id bet that if Coburn had so little as a decorative weathervane blown from the roof of a barn on property he owned, hed be first in line grabbing at taxpayer dollars to replace it.

Coburn is surely just another tea-sucking Republican. Shame!

Here's hoping this wakes them up and that come next re-election cycle, he'll decide that it's time to retire gracefully rather than lose.

Paalleease. While Coburn and plenty of other Republicans are first-rate retards, saying that the Democrat party is the party of human compassion is ridiculous. Unless, of course, you consider the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc. and their efforts to take from the middle class to further enrich corporations as being compassionate.

While Im specifically comparing the parties' platforms, they do translate to some substantial differences in implementation. I don believe all Democrats are good guys and all Republicans, bad. However, I do believe there are some good guys. I admittedly have my cynical moments, but Im no curmudgeon.
