The Baltimore Sun is clutching at straws hoping to create disunity and division where there is none. Syria is Pluralistic. The Sun is
following in the footsteps of their counterparts who concocted the Syrian Religious War.
It's not the first time its happened but more than likely it is the last.
The British and French had no answer for the incapacity of their enforced Social and economic order exposed as totally dis-functional in Tunisia just over 2 years ago. So the created a reign of terror to protect their vested interests.
The Sunni Ulema have called a jihad as is their duty and right to protect themselves from that reign of terror. The Brotherhood and Wahhab Cult followers are out of step with the tenants of Islam as presented by ibn-Taymiyya and have to be brought into line.
Jihad is a National discretion and not a tribal affair. So said ibn-Taymiyya as opposed to the belief of the Terrorist being sent by the Brotherhood and Wahhab Cultists who have abandoned the Messenger (p) Muhammad (pbuh) and joined with the decadent West.

I have said for a long time that the paid operatives in Syria should be educated about who their real enemies are.The paid operatives should be sent back to where they came.

They did and they are, they come from syria and are still there. Assad keeps them close in case any children get out of line he just sets up a massacre and the problem is solved. I am sure he tells his own children so that they will not step out of line.

Technically you are correct. The reason for restraint in practical probable developments is of course the enemy is within a structure of religious tribal and family association.
The Cultist can and does use this structure to harbour his crimes.

Where as the righteous Muslims who are not influenced by this aberration of theology
better known as criminal insanity to them
"Tribal jihad is out of the question"
Though they still feel a loyalty to the misguided.
Of course there are many Salafi like myself who see the evil persuasion of France and Britain as a calling to war.
I am certain they are like me and make the most of opportunity.
My opportunity is to use reason not violence.
I can't speak for my brothers.
But we are advantaged in the long run by only hitting the guilty and not the soft targets that hide them.

It is frustrating to watch how world powers crush Syrian Nation. It doesn't matter if to nations want pease for Syria (Russia and China) those colonialist powers ignore UN (a joke) mandates and keep crushing Syria. Unfortunately, they will remove president Asad, and will install a marionette..

The smart thing would be for russia, china and north korea to unite. They will have to unite sooner or later because the endgame is for the american government to circle russia and china and sooner or later they are going to have to fight.United they would be a very strong force able to stop the american government war machine which has been out of control for decades.

Both Russia and China see how the West encourages insurgencies, rebellions, and "regime change"! This is why they are now stopping them.

I think that has always been as a "fate a complee" but the resolve to do something about it has always been missing.
Finance dominated political thinking much more in the past than it does now.
Western debt has turned it around somewhat.
But I believe Allah has manipulated the whole thing.
The resource rich countries and the ones that lend themselves to competitive manufacture will be advantaged by the new order of economic posture the middle man banking sector will become subordinate.
