Don't really care as Jobs contributed more to how to rip people off with a new phone every six months and quite frankly, he stayed alive a lot longer than MANY with pancreatic cancer, as he had access to treatments only a BILLIONAIRE would have access to. He was NO more important than anyone else.

He gave a lot of jobs to the Chinese. When Immeldt croaks they'll turn on lights throughout China.

How irreverent of you to lambast a deceased member of the human race. What the hell do you know, Gem Guy? There will be a ghost of Steve Jobs' spirit now assigned to your being which will cause you to have sleepless nights and terrible nightmares. So there. You may avoid all of this IF you repent in all honesty on this same thread you made your denoument. The ball is in your court, guy.

People who go the Hell, like Steve "Chinese Socialist Hero" Jobs don't get to come back as ghosts :p Steve had better choose cremation and have his ashes scattered on Tienanmen Square because once the media frenzy dies off, I know quite a lot of people who will want to visit his grave after gorging themselves with prune juice, if you see what I mean :p

my mom died of pancreatic cancer and was not a billionaire but she did her research and found the care that was right for her. It took my dad a while to pay some medical bills but it was worth it. There is NOT a price tag on health care!

Steve Jobs was a Buddhist, not an atheist.

And your Hell is just a bronze age goat-herder FAIRY TALE designed to scare little kids (and "fundamentalist christians").

Rest in peace, Steve Jobs.

Pancreatic cancer is a terrible, terrible way to go. He was fortunate that he lived as long as he did in that normally the survival rate is a few months from diagnosis to when a person succumbs to it. Sadly, it's very hard to detect and usually only after it has spread.

Regardless of what one thinks of him, no one should ever have to endure pancreatic cancer which generally means that the person starves and succumbs to dehydration in that they are unable to eat and cannot tolerate even a glass of water.

My Mother had her life taken due to pancreatic cancer and my heart goes out to his loved ones.

If anything it just goes to show that even with Jobs vast fortune, cancer is an equal opportunity killer and makes no distinctions as to who it claims.

Hopefully, one day we'll have a cure for it in that pancreatic cancer is one of the worst forms of cancer to have.

God Bless.

I read an article on Yahoo where the writer artibuted Jobs creativity to his drug use. I guess Jobs was quite the acid dropper and pot smoker so much so he bragged about it. Sadly it is this drug use that probably caused his cancer. Drug and alcohol use are strongly linked to pancreatic cancer.

Sad for Jobs family. Even sadder for the youth he may have fooled with this garbage about drug use being wonderful and cool and leading to enlightenment. Jobs obviously was not as intelligent as people made him out to be. A stoner is never smart.

Riiiiight. That's why you are the CEO of the richest tech company in the world and worth BILLIONS and Steve Jobs was living in the basement of his mother's house.

Oh, wait.

BTW, Steve Jobs admitted that he used LSD when he was in college. Please provide evidence that he was an habitual drug user throughout his life. If you can't do that than we should probably conclude that you are LYING.

The difference, of course, is who remembers you and what you are remembered for. In that respect, not everyone is equal.

I don't believe he bragged about drug use, it was more like he put it out there that he did it just like lots of young people but he knew he had to do somethng with his life and look what he accomplished.

I think cancer is an awful killer and in no way would I blame someones drug and alcohol use, it does not seek these people out. It is a awful disease and really just strips one of their dignity
