4 billion of years of geological history. That trumps today's scientists any day of the week.
So just to clarify-

You believe the scientist of the past who established your suposed 4 billion years of geological history, but you DON'T believe the scientists today?

Do you also believe the scientists of the past who established that the world was flat, the sun revolved around the earth, and the earth was the center of the universe, all while discounting the scientists of today who claim the earth is round & revolves around the sun & is part of the milky way galaxy?

Do you also believe the scientists of the past who believed all disease was caused by evil spirits and not bacteria or viruses? Who believed that black blood was incompatible with white blood?

See, that's what happens when you start picking & choosing which scientists to believe and which are loons.

Just curious- what are YOUR credentials to make such judgments??

Ummmmm, just who do you think established those "4 billion years of geological history"?? The very scientists you dismiss today!! Unless you know of someone who was around to witness that history over the past 4 billion years and recorded the temperatures etc. No one can prove there ever was an ice age; even one as recent as 10,000 years ago. While that is the current theory based on all available scientific "evidence", there are alternate explanations for all "geological history". Just ask all the religious freaks who believe the earth is only 6,000 years old & that Moses led the residents of Sodom & Gomorrah out of Kansas while riding a dinasaur & put them all on an ark & sailed around the earth to build the duplicate pyramids in Mexico & China etc.
If you claim there are 4 billion years of geological history, then you are just believing the current consensus by scientists. Just like the current consensus by scientists is that human activity is having an impact on the global climate.
So either you believe the consensus of scientists or you don't. Which is it?
Seriously? No one can prove there ever was an ice age? ROFLMAO!

Enough said. You have proven you know little to nothing of Earth. I guess you deny that there was once a super-Continent and the tectonic plates shift and move constantly. That the Earth is flat. That dinosaurs are a myth. And the pyramids were built by extraterrestrial beings.

ROFLMAO! There was never an ice age. OMG! That is a hoot!

There is no science about CO2 emissions, if there was science behind it it might make sense.

All it is now, is a religion for liberals.

fake Unscientific charts, insidious emails undermining science, all they are doing is giving real scientists a bad name.

Or if this was soooooo important why would they play that propaganda for vulnerable school kids, but not one free showing on national TV, Al Gores "movie".

You people are so damn stupid.

Obvioulsy you suffer from reading comprehension.

I personally do not doubt the scientific evidence which supports the theory of plate tectonics, past ice ages, etc, etc.

My point- which went ENTIRELY over your pointed little head, is that the same scientific methods used to establish all those theories are the EXACT SAME METHODS used by scientists today to establish the theory that man IS having a negative impact on the global climate.

You can't have it both ways. Either you believe in the scientifc method or you don't. So which is it?

OK Skippy. So explain why it has happened numerous times BEFORE MAN. OH SNAP!! Proof positive, indisputable, undeniable FACT that Earth CAN and WILL have drastic climate changes, REGARDLESS OF MAN. As it did in the past, and will again in the future.

Only difference is that there are lemmings, as yourself, that buy into the corporate funded bunk to take more of your money.

Again, I'm not denying the scientific consensus that the earth's climate has natural cycles or has experience drastic changes due to completely naturally occuring events (i.e. volcanos). Just like I don't deny the current scientific consensus that man's activities since the industrial age is contributing to the current changes taking place.

If you blindly accept the scientific consensus regarding the past, then there is no logical reason the deny the current scientific consensus. Of course you're NOT using reason, but rather allowing your emotions to affect your judgment.

It is YOU who stands with the polluters who claim any additional regulations would bankrupt them or significantly increase the cost of enegry for the average consumer. Just like the claims by the auto industry when they fought seat belts in cars, or higher mpg regulations; or the coal industry when they fought any regulation of their mining process; or the oil companies when they fought any regulation of refineries; or the chemical companies when they fought any regulation of their production plants, etc, etc, etc.

If all their claims of gloom & doom were true, shouldn't we all be stuck walking to work and reading by candle light by now??
