Or maybe it shows the need for oil companies to place safety and prevention ahead of scheule and budget?

Oh, and by 'investing' he means 'subsidizing.' That's when the government throws money at something that is not practical or viable and business people understand that, which is why they haven't committed to it in large numbers.

Better shut em all down and start riding bicycles.

Better destroy the economy of the entire world.

Oh nooooooooo..........the sky is falling!

Really, something happens to American soil and people are p!ssing down their legs.

THIS IS LIFE, People.

Clean up and move on.

Now if Obutthole would just get out of the way and let the people that know HOW to clean up do their job.........

Right behind this manufactured negligence-filled environmental disaster--comes the guilt-trip propaganda massage that "green energy" provided solutions will magically solve the manufactured "problem"

Reality problem with the "solution" suggestions is that they are not realistically cost-efficient, are technically limited, or comparatively in-efficient in real energy delivery.

In reality the "green" massage is there to help entrench U.N. Agenda 21 living restrictions (for population control and reduction). Along with installing Carbon Tax CO2 slave-taxing and corporate profiteering.

A significant number of Americans now believe that the government's job is to GUARANTEE nothing will ever go wrong, no one will ever be hurt, everything will be perfect.

Sadly, they are willing to sacrifice their freedoms in their quest and the government is happy to oblige.

I am waiting for the day we are required to have our pets helmeted when out for a walk, in anticipation of the occasional head bump into an open door or a utility pole, etc.

This is where the PC bike paths, over-priced solar-cell powered housing, and oil-industry supported wind-mill Utopian visions lead, if the public swallows the benevolent politicians' sales-pitch:

There are companies out there that would clean up the spill for free.... they would do it for the oil- But BP wouldn't want to sacrifice it in the name of saving the industries that need the gulf to survive. THE PROFIT MEANS MORE THAN THE PEOPLE....and I know that was an elementary thing to say, but some people need to look at the naked facts.
BP has told the workers if they are caught wearing respirators, they will be fired. Does that sound like someone that we want operating in this country? BP should be seized, and it's assets forfeited because of this. Anything less is unacceptable

The cleanup effort is just a show for the media.

What our masters really want is more taxes and more control. Plain and simple.
They want us to go begging to them for everything we need. Even the right to exist.

Napolitano- homeland security whore, would LOVE to shut this country up.
Those are the seeds of complete tyranny.

It's sad to see the people cheering about gun rights after what happened yesterday. So, 4/5 of the court says we have a right we already have. What is going to happen when they replace that 1?
No more 2nd amendment?

More energy is depleted through blowbag politicians than is wasted by citizens.

Green energy = wasted money, backwards steps, and lots of government regulation.

Like this so-called 'internet switch'- so Obama, at his whim, can turn off whatever portion of the internet he wants turned off. This is in the name of 'homeland security,' ostensibly so that critical systems like power line grids can be protected.

Now this is stupd on two fronts.

First, systems that are that important ought not to be sharing bandwith with the folks sending emails to grandma or downloading porn or hacking computer systems.

Second, the 'switch' concept means reacting after something has gone wrong (or Obama THINKS something has gone wrong). It's too late by then.

Further, the shutdown can be up to 6 months. SIX MONTHS??? Apparently there's now an amendment that after 120 days (FOUR MONTHS!!!) Obama THEN has to get Congress to let it continue.

There's no hacker who is going to keep it up for 6 months or be thwarted by some new protection scheme that takes that long to develop.

The only advantage of a 6 month shutdown is to interrupt the free flow of information. Outside of Iran, North Korea, Iraq and China, there's only one other country contemplating such action.

Yep, only the 'Land of the Free.' How soon before someone sues the US Government for false advertiseing?

Someday freedom might just be a subject we are only allowed to speak about in a whisper to our grandkids.

And the fools will still be falling for the sports team mentality political parties.

What a shame.

But, each issue of Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, etc.--or something like "Popular Pie in the Sky Home projects" or "Make-Believe Mansion Fix-Up Magazine" would be filled with such Green Energy Utopian lifestyle articles.

Its one thing to modify a house that only existed conveniently in a guy-gadgets magazine--quite another, retrofitting an average old REAL house, or some typical one with its own unique oddball construction quirks.

Barack Obama: A Bill of Indictment

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! All those with business before the court of public opinion will draw near. A bill of indictment has been issued for Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America. It is a call for justice from the people of the United States who allege that he is engaged in the destruction of their nation.

For the court’s consideration, it is alleged:

•That he secured the office of President by falsely stating he is a natural born citizen of the United States without providing irrefutable documentation and witnesses thereof,

•That he associated with persons known and unknown to hold anti-American views antithetical to the conduct of his office, to include a convicted felon, an unrepentant former domestic terrorist, among too many others to innumerate,

•That he has created an unaccountable level of governmental policy-making with the largest expansion of presidential advisors,“czars”, in the history of the executive branch,

•That, while in his first six months, he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia and Emperor of Japan, an act that contradicts the primacy of the office of the U.S. presidency,

•That, in contradiction to his sworn duty to protect the nation, he announced the termination of the U.S. space defense system the day after North Korea launched an ICBM,

•That he ordered the release of memos regarding the interrogation of terrorists interned in U.S. facilities at Guantanamo, making known to the Islamist enemies of the nation the manner of their interrogation,

•That he appointed as Secretary of Homeland Security, an individual who ordered that the word “terrorism” be replaced by the term,“man made disasters,”

•That, during his first six months in office, he doubled the U.S. national debt, currently at an unsustainable level, threatening the value of the U.S. dollar,

•That he signed into law a “stimulus” bill, the bulk of whose funds were allocated to government employee unions under the guise of generating millions of new jobs in the private sector,

•That he signed into law a “Troubled Asset Relief Program” that, contrary to the Constitution, promoted short term private benefit, rather than the general welfare, while evading the constitutional requirement of equal protection, saving some businesses while letting others expire,

•That he by-passed the established legal process of bankruptcy to seize control of General Motors and Chrysler auto manufacturers, benefiting unions to the loss of creditors,

•That, in collusion with the majority leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate, he initiated and engineered the passage of legislation that nationalized the healthcare industry despite overwhelming opposition by the American People,

Barack Obama: A Bill of Indictment

•That he has participated in national and international conferences to advocate the discredited theory of global warming and continues to advance Cap-and-Trade legislation based on it; a massive tax on energy use that will undermine the recovery of the economy,

•That he has failed to protect the United States by failing to secure its southern border with Mexico and is threatening to take legal action against Arizona, a sovereign State that has passed legislation in lieu of that failure,

•That he has consistently advocated “global government” over the sovereignty of the United States,

•That he declared his intention to “bankrupt” the coal industry, responsible for one half of the electricity generated to serve the needs of Americans,

•That he failed to take immediate and effective action to deter widespread ecological and economic damage to States bordering the Gulf of Mexico following an accident on a BP deepwater oil rig, including a “moratorium” on oil drilling that threw thousands out of work,

•That he continues to advocate “a clean energy future” when such energy, solar and wind, exist only because of government subsidies and mandates, are a dangerously unpredictable source of electricity, and produce less than three percent of the electricity generated nationwide,

•That two private investigators have asserted he is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in that State and that the number was issued between 1977 and 1979. Obama’s earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a Baskin-Robbins in Oahu, Hawaii,

•And, for these and other hidden records regarding his birth, his overseas travel to Pakistan, college records, medical records, and other means of verifying a legitimate claim to hold the office of the President, We, the People of the United States of America, demand that impeachment proceedings be initiated or that cases pending before the courts be adjudicated at the earliest possible time to prevent further damage to the economy and security of the nation.

That will go nowhere and is, besides that, the least sensible way to control our own destiny.

Vote wisely this November and throw out the traitorous followers of the madman in the white house.

An understanding of Bible prophecy may seem unimportant at this time, but this will not be the case forever. According to Scripture, the time of God’s wrath is near. The world is about to enter a crisis that has no parallel in history. God is about to do certain things that He has not done to Earth before and when His judgments begin, the road map of Bible prophecy will suddenly become important. Bible prophecy not only reveals what God is going to do, it reveals something even more important! Prophecy reveals "why." Few people appreciate the consistent behavior of God that is carefully demonstrated throughout the Bible. False theology has created a sense of peace, safety and divine tranquility that is totally misleading. Even in this age of enlightenment, God is largely misunderstood. When His judgments begin, ten thousand questions will suddenly rise. The 144,000 will have a very difficult time convincing misled people that "God is love" when the evidence of God’s great wrath is seen throughout a devastated Earth. This is why an understanding of Bible prophecy is important now. God is love, but God’s patience with rebellion has a limit. Blessed is the person who loves and has complete faith in God after Jesus begins what He needs to do to separate the sheep from the goats.

This oil spill is just the beginning, things are going to get to the point that we have to stand in line for toilet paper. OMG, a piece of bread for gold. God's wrath will come down on the US and I sure don't want to be here.

Yes. Let's do everything we can to get that oil to the beaches and marshes (by not letting anyone do anything to prevent it) and then give them a big "I told you so" along with some new legislation.

We can use the same strategy that we have and are using on the economy.

Fucking destroyers.
